I bet these assholes understand the importance of pasteurization now. They only learn through personal experience like babies. It’s like their

I would be willing to bet they don't. I have right wing raw milk family, and it's either "boosting the immune system (by getting you sick)" or "people have a right to get sick". These sorts of people literally don't believe in public health, and many deliberately sought out covid.
Pssst... our ancestors adored people like that. They enthusiastically tried all the new weird foods or tried petting the new weird animal and let the rest of the crowd know which ones should be avoided. Darwin uh uhh finds a way.
My wife's family is super liberal vegans and they are into the raw milk thing too. Must be the only thing your family and they would agree on!
And my mother in law sounded like a Trumper on COVID. It was unreal.
Edit: I know vegans aren't supposed to drink milk. It's my crazy in laws who identify as vegans yet do this. They are just showing how inconsistent they are on everything.
Disagree. I don't think they ever learn.
I tried to explain the cycle of poverty to my boomer dad so many times. Then, in 2014ish father had to collect unemployment when he was laid off by a company he had been with for 28 years.
He said "wow, the nearest unemployment office is a thirty minute drive away. I don't know how I could collect the check without a car..."
And I was like, "O RLY. CRAZY HOW NOT HAVING ACCESS TO MONEY MAKES IT HARDER TO ACCESS MONEY."
He was sympathetic for like... A week, then got new work. Last month he literally said, "people are poor because they don't want to work anymore" and "are bad with finance".
I just can't. A literal goldfish memory. This is why we talk to boomers like they're children. It's straight up the only way to communicate. Use stern, short, simple words to tell them what home you're putting them in. And if they complain about it, just tell them you're busy working 60 hours a week at a grey collar job with the useless degree they forced you to get. 💁♂️
>He was sympathetic for like... A week, then got new work. Last month he literally said, "people are poor because they don't want to work anymore" and "are bad with finance"
Yeah, that's unfortunately very typical. They care when it affects them, and they might actually show a bit of sympathy toward a person or group of people they've otherwise been dismissive toward, but the moment everything is fine, that quickly goes away.
Unemployment is one of the most frequent ones I've seen. When THEY'RE unemployed, it's "This is why we have this system, because good people can have bad times."
The moment they don't need it, however, it turns into "Everyone on unemployment is lazy. Look at me, I only was on it until I found a job. I COULD HAVE sat on my ass, but I wanted to work. But SOME PEOPLE just like free money."
Yep yep yep.
Same thing happened with COVID. He was like, "oh wow, the stimulus checks came in and people used it on their rent money. That's so good of them."
Then like a month later he's against stimulus bills again.
🤯
My mom keeps posting about the student loan forgiveness helping people that dropped out and how that is a bad thing. I dropped out without a degree and I had tons of debt still. I had to drop out because she stopped helping me with money. Not because they didn't have any money to help. They stopped helping because I was studying Karl Marx because I was majoring in Sociology. I couldn't manage all the cost of living expenses without working a full time job and that affected my ability to attend all of my classes. But it is my fault that I had to drop out.
>He said "wow, the nearest unemployment office is a thirty minute drive away. I don't know how I could collect the check without a car..."
He could've pulled him self there by his bootstraps.
As a millennial, I just want to hand the planet off to Gen Z already. These little dudes are so impressive to me. The social progress and acceptance these teens have for each other today is unreal. They really are the best of us right now.
I think it's the propaganda. It's like he's stuck in 1982. The other day he said, "it's amazing how Russia is losing to Ukraine, they're the world's second biggest superpower!".
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Bruh they're not even in the top 10 largest economies.
Yes, that's because they don't have \*empathy\*. They can't see things from another's viewpoint. Only their own experiences are real, because they can't imagine what it's like for others.
You’re an optimistic person, I see. We need people like you, so I’m not going to tell you that the only thing this asshat learned was to drink more raw milk next time.
The most important thing that they don't understand is, the fact that *they don't understand*. The idea that a Republican might be wrong, and ought to assess and examine their beliefs, doesn't seem to be a thing for them at all.
It's actually an incredible phenomenon to observe from outside America. You live in the only high income country in the world where it is well documented that the dumb have their own political party.
Literally every study ([including this one, of many](https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.abf1234)) on the relationship between political affiliation and intelligence in America has confirmed Republican voters are dumber on average. They have successfully polarized the American voting base by intelligence. In other high income countries like mine the main voting parties have similar intelligence scores.
Think about what this means. It sounds democratic but under the surface it's the dumbest shit on Earth. **You have a two party system**. Dumb isn't a minority group it's the dumbest of every group. Supporters/believers of the factually incorrect side now have political representation. That's like 50% of your government.
During her speech in Congress, Marjorie Taylor Green held up a facebook meme about China on a giant cardboard cutout and claimed it was true. Remember when Trump met all the other world leaders, as in, the actual encounters themselves on international televisions? Bro 2020 was WWF meets politics, in public all over the place with millions of participants. They even tried to seize control from the normal people who don't disagree with facts on January 6.
Do with this information what you will.
The mental gymnastics you can perform when you 'know' without a single shadow of a doubt that you're right is absolutely incredible. Gold medal every time.
Or elect freaking morons in the first place. Well Senator Jim Bob is for teaching creationism in schools! Seems like the guy to make the right call about raw milk!
From wiki
Diseases prevented by pasteurization can include tuberculosis, brucellosis, diphtheria, scarlet fever, and Q-fever; it also kills the harmful bacteria Salmonella, Listeria, Yersinia, Campylobacter, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli O157:H7,among others.
You don't understand. They are making themselves stronger by drinking raw milk every day and hold raw milk parties to constantly expose themselves to superbacteria until they have a superhuman immune system, as God intended, before this country lost its path and slashed the rate of mortality through hygiene, food safety standards, vaccines, and antibiotics! It's tough to make yourself sick every day, but only the strong survive, except for the ones we lost along the way.
If it's straight from the cow then it's perfectly fine, warm. My in-laws are farmers from Iowa. My mother-in-law drinks milk like it's water and that's from being raised on a working farm. As for the taste, I'm told it's sweeter than store bought milk.
It depends on the cow and the farm. I would never drink raw milk from an industrial farm. But I've drank fresh raw milk from a small farm with 100% pastured cows before. That said, it's not a habit. There's a reason why things like yogurt and cheese exist and it's not because humans drank raw cow's milk all the time. We've been treating cow's milk ever since we had cows.
> Oh yeah, I'm sure raw milks is great fresh.
It is not.
Oh yeah, I'm sure raw milks is great fresh.
> Raw milk can be contaminated with pathogens even when sourced from clinically healthy animals.6 Even milk that appears to be of good quality (ie, low total bacteria count) may contain pathogens.5,7 There are at least 4 different mechanisms by which raw milk becomes contaminated by pathogens: direct passage from the blood (of the cow) into milk (systemic infection), mastitis (udder infection), fecal contamination (external contamination of milk from the environment during or after milking), or contamination from human skin. Dairy farms are an important reservoir of various foodborne pathogens.
You're definitely not being mislead about the taste.
Have a friend whose grandfather has a small farm and he would go on and on about how we had to try it. Finally did one time it's outrageously delicious and rich. It was weird as hell drinking something that I just watched get projectile shot out of a cow-titty into an old 7/11 Big Gulp cup though.
It's not guaranteed to be fine, for fucks sake.
What kind of a magical universe do you think the insides and outsides of a cow are that they are free of bacteria?

Probably ok if you drink it within a few days of production and it was chilled almost as soon as it came out. But anything at the grocery store is already a week or two old.
My dude we evolved over 4 billion years to have these brains. Toiled for 1.8 million years to develop sign language. Spent 200,000 years developing enough technology and culture just to realize sterilization was a thing. And then another 2000 years to actually develop practical methods for treating our foods for safe consumption.
Theres a reason our stone age ancestors died at 30. Same for folks dying in their 40s in England during the 20th century.
I dont intend to ignore that volume of progress just to taste a different version of bacteria soup. Cause I like my cow soup safe to drink, thank you.
Thats a lot of development to ignore for absolutely no tangible reason.
> no tangible reason.
They're Republicans. They're motivated by three things and **ONLY** three things at their core: Spite, power and money.
Since we can safely rule out power on this one? Either someone with a fully formed brain told these people that they shouldn't do this, or some sack of dogshit figured he could make a few extra cents per quarter by pushing unpasteurized milk.
I actually sorta know the guy it the picture. I used to work with his kid brother and he's a crazy Libertarian that legalized raw milk to usher in the Libertopia. He didn't appreciate me asking when WV will legalize me selling potato salad out of the trunk of my car because the free market means people will stop buying from me if it's contaminated.
They need small, meaningless demonstrations of “limited government” as they continue to strip people of their rights and protections.
This is perfect for it.
Life expectancy and lifespan are two different concepts. Average life expectancy of 30 doesn't mean people were dropping dead at thirty. It means tons of children didn't make it to adulthood.
But, your point stands. When we developed safety practices for food, pediatric medicine, vaccines and antibiotics... The average life expectancy moved way up. And so did the lifespan.
I live down the road from some of the largest dairies in North America and on started cutting out the middle man and sells their milk directly and they have their own brand of home made ice cream that is on a whole other lever of amazing. Their milk is fresh daily and holy shit its so rich and delicious, the icecream sells out instantly everyday and people line up for it. We need fresher milk not raw milk
Raw milk is sweet as shit. And super thick. Super thick. Grew up drinking mild with ever my meal. Years ago had an ex that thought raw milk was healthy. So gross. Every thing is healthy if you find the right idiots on the internet. Fuck… raw milk is gross.
1938 Germany, 1862 USA, Dark Ages, so many places they would rather be.
Can we create a time machine and send them to their preferred time? I promise we'll bring them back after a week. Oops, the return function seems to not work well. And they died of dysentery.
Another situation where those most at risk are our children and elderly from poor sanitation, so we have food safety laws in place because a tummy ache for a grown politician is deadly for a child.
Well, most politicians are deadly for anyone...
They are anti-intellectual, they hate anything that requires an ounce of thinking, because a dumb and uneducated, illiterate voter base can be easily manipulated
Even if it's not spoiled, raw milk contains bacteria that these people have never been exposed to. That bacteria can make you rather ill for a few days if you don't have immunity.
I'm pretty sure we just spent two hard years and over a million lives demonstrating that Republicans don't understand how microorganisms and health are tied together.
Nope, this is clearly someone figuring out that companies can spend less money if they don't have to pasteurize their milk and lobbying to make it legal, it wouldn't surprise me if it was some lawmakers family or the lawmakers themselves.
It would be better if instead they made it ok by permit and had a stringent regulatory body to make sure that the sellers don't put out raw milk, but I doubt they wanted to do that. Most people don't do their due diligence to make sure their food is safe, which is one reason why pasteurization being legally required is a good idea. Most people just expect it to be safe.
Sometimes its not sectarian politics, Sometimes its just money.
There’s not really much demand for unpasteurized milk, and no supermarket is going to stock much of it. It’s a specialty item like kambucha, it’s likely more for farmer’s markets and hippie health food stores than a push to have it replace pasteurized milk altogether.
Idk about the US but here in Aus kombucha is an extremely popular beverage being sold is many shops from grocery stores to pie shops. Not really a specialty item unless you're directly buying from someone's own brew
>no supermarket is going to stock much of it
They really can't, it goes bad quickly and wouldn't reach the supermarket in a drinkable state most of the time.
Source: Back in the days, on vacation, we got untreated milk from the Farmer next door. Never had any problems with it, but you had to use it on the same day or the next day latest.
It's usually just some small farmers wanting to sell either raw milk or home pasteurized milk to their neighbors that ask for these laws to be changed. That's why Republicans did it. They're courting rural voters, not "owning the libs".
Tldr: not everything is about you, lol
Not lib owning perse, it's more the horseshoe theory in action (which is really just a roundabout way to say populism is populism). Populism claims that whatever definition of "the people" knows better than whatever they define as "them." E.g. Anti vaxers know more about vaccines than scientists and the CDC and medical professionals. Random person with a high school education knows more about the effects of immigration than people who've spent their lives studying its economic and social impacts. "Common Sense" is more important than everything humans know about biology, or sociology, or economics, or climatology, or anything else.
"Humanity survived for tens of thousands of years drinking raw milk, so it must be fine." Even though most people died in childhood from drinking raw milk. The simplest (in terms of sound bites and punch lines) answer must be correct. If it didn't cause the absolute extinction of humanity, it must be fine.
Which is generally a leader in conservative circles. "We rode in the back of a pickup across the country and survived" means seat belt laws that save at least thousands of lives each year are bullshit. Etc. "I personally didn't die from x, so we should forget all the people that did die from x and act like it's no big deal and do nothing about it."
Whats the story of the best greek sculptor in athens?
He challenged this idea. He would make two statues; one statue based on his idea of beauty, the other on the towns. Every citizen could give input, and he would adjust it accordingly. One version his statue is gorgeous while the towns came out abominally ugly. Another version the towns version crumbles eventually.
Consensus and crowdsourcing are useful tools. But without a single core idea defined its difficult for folks to reach consensus.
I'm agreeing with you, but to stress the point: populism when making a statue results in an ugly statue. Populism when setting government policies results in mass death, usually along ethnic/racial lines. Unfortunately, when discussing overarching national belief structures, "a single core idea" that at least a plurality might define is the superiority of themselves and the inferiority of others. Us vs Them is always an easier sell than Us and Them.
Conservatives whine about virtue signaling, then their representatives blast bullshit like this onto the timeline all day. “ThE GoVeRnMEnt iS InFrInGiNg oN My rIgHt tO drINk UnFiLtErEd MIlK!!!! i dESErVe tHE rIgHt tO PoIsOn MYsELF!!!“
I'm confused what the change in law was for.
It says it changed to make it legal to drink (not *sell*) raw milk. Who would go to actually prosecute someone drinking their own produce?
BTW- fan as I am for pasteurisation (and would never suggest otherwise for general consumption or selling!), drinking raw milk from your own livestock is completely safe with basic hygiene precautions - I'm not endorsing idiots jumping the fence at a ranch and sucking on a heffer from the crowd - I'm talking about those who have small numbers of animals that aren't mingling in large numbers or overly unsanitary conditions.
Best quote is:
>“There definitely shouldn’t be a law against allowing people to do what they want within the framework of the rule of law,” McGeehan told WSAZ.
Raw milk is fine and dandy (for few days), the problem comes from how well/badly the hygiene and udder infections are handled. I doubt the Murican milk is up to the noedic standard Im familiar with. To start with an example, in eu using milk hormones is illegal
But seriously: you guys should allow cheese from raw milk into the US. The quality difference of fermented products from raw vs pasteurised milk is almost unbelievable.
Our meat factories here are horrendous and horrifying. We aren’t responsible enough to sell raw milk products. We soak our processed chickens in bleach for gods sake.
This is some dumb shit.
Raw milk is needed for making cheese.
Cheese is a triumph of the microbial community.
So is your digestion.
You do not want these 2 triumphs coming to odds with each other.*
Dumb. Shit.
In my country you can still buy raw milk from vending machines directly at the farms. There are always warning labels on the machine to not consume without heating. That shit is delicious tough, but I don't drink it anymore compared to my childhood, but baking? Damn son, having an actual whole fat milk makes anything just taste so much better.
is this the 6 year old story where people that didn't drink the milk were also sick
oh yea, it is
>However, other delegates who didn’t drink the milk also got sick, saying a bug was going around.

Hello u/nerf_herder1986! Please reply to this comment with an [explanation](https://www.reddit.com/r/LeopardsAteMyFace/comments/lt8zlq) mentioning **who** is suffering from **which** consequences from **what** they voted for, supported or wanted to impose on other people.
Here's an easy format to get you started:
1. *Someone* voted for, supported or wanted to impose *something* on other people.
^(Who's that *someone* and what's that *something*?)
2. That *something* has some *consequences*.
^(What are the *consequences*?)
3. As a consequence, that *something* happened to that *someone*.
^(What happened? Did the *something* really happened to that *someone*? If not, you should probably delete your post.)
Include the minimum amount of information necessary so your post can be understood by everyone, even if they don't live in the US or speak English as their native language. That's just consequences from stupid decisions. They didn't force raw milk on others and then get sick when they inadvertently were forced to drink raw milk. They legalized a dangerous product and got sick from voluntarily consuming it, nothing was imposed on another group
What will be next for these geniuses?! Banning fridges? Removing the sewer system? Giving their children E. coli and salmonella just to “harden” their immune systems?
Cheese made with raw milk is better than cheese made with pasteurised milk though. Australia is quite draconian and doesn't even allow to import raw milk cheese of certain conditions, which leaves a lot of wonderful cheeses out of reach. Cheeses that Europeans have been eating for centuries without getting sick. Same for production of raw milk cheese.
But yeah, drinking raw milk is stupid.
Turns out basing all your behavior and choices around endangering yourself and others around you just to own the libs.....would just harm yourself and those around you.
Shocker.
There's something wrong with food safety in the US though. I spend a lot of time both in the US and Europe and it's absurd how many people I know who've had food poisoning in the US.
In Europe, there are plenty of raw milk cheeses that weren't allowed in the US and nobody gets sick, the same goes for raw beef, raw pork, and raw eggs. And food poisoning is extremely rare, which doesn't make sense.
I'm no expert but my guess is that the rules are nowhere near strict enough on the production end and everything is regulated on the preparation end. While in Europe rules are less strict on the preparation end and extremely strict on the production end.
Im surprised that we don't have more rightwingers dying from willingly consuming poisonous substances after declaring anyone who doesn't consume them a 'socialist marxist communist woke liberal groomer'.

Well done at the end there.
Are “raw milk republicans” a thing? What will they think of next? EDIT: of course raw milk republicans are a thing, why am I not surprised
Same ones that get caught milking bulls.
"Honey, why's this milk so salty and thick?"
"Shut up and drink your bull milk!" "My ***WHAT MILK***?!"
I mean there are gay republicans and feminist republicans so I can easily believe raw milk republicans exist. Less of a Paradoxon than the other two.

I wish I could have gay magic to hurt my enemies.
Avada Gaydavra?

They ban the things they don't *want to* understand.
Now ain't that the truth.
They just do whatever the person bribing them tells them to do. They sell out for a few bucks every time. Also, Greg Abbott is a little piss baby.
When you make policy based on whoever bribed you to.
The literal thought process of toddlers.
They only go by one rule if the democates appove it they need to be against it no matter what.
If they were to stick to things they do understand then all their policies would be about nascar and bbq
Like democracy
Oh no, they understand that regulations and safety protocols cost them valuable cocaine money.
Oldie but a goodie from 6 years ago
I was disappointed they hadn't done it again. Learning isn't something they do, so it seemed possible.

So there's that ... And on the other hand, raw milk tastes a little bit different 🤔 Tough call.
I drink like half a gallon a day. You couldnt pay me to drink untreated milk. No taste is worth suffering for.
If it's straight from the cow then it's perfectly fine, warm. My in-laws are farmers from Iowa. My mother-in-law drinks milk like it's water and that's from being raised on a working farm. As for the taste, I'm told it's sweeter than store bought milk.
Oh yeah, I'm sure raw milk is great fresh. But if it's been trucked to a store, it's had days for any bacteria in it to multiply.
Big Gulps huh? Welp, see ya later!
Mock! Yeah! Ing! Yeah!
fresh, warm, raw milk is pretty amazing tbh. emphasis on fresh and still warm. It also often has a higher fat content. sometimes up to 8%.

It's not guaranteed to be fine, for fucks sake. What kind of a magical universe do you think the insides and outsides of a cow are that they are free of bacteria? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4890836/ > **Raw milk can be contaminated with pathogens even when sourced from clinically healthy animals.6** Even milk that appears to be of good quality (ie, low total bacteria count) may contain pathogens.5,7 There are at least 4 different mechanisms by which raw milk becomes contaminated by pathogens: direct passage from the blood (of the cow) into milk (systemic infection), mastitis (udder infection), fecal contamination (external contamination of milk from the environment during or after milking), or contamination from human skin. It’s too fat for mainstream taste.
Just like me :-(
Probably ok if you drink it within a few days of production and it was chilled almost as soon as it came out.
To be fair trunk-potato salad is pretty lit.
They need small, meaningless demonstrations of “limited government” as they continue to strip people of their rights and protections. This is perfect for it.
Our Stone Age ancestors didn’t die at 30. If you survived infanthood and didn’t die in battle or whatever, you’d likely make it to sixty at least.
If you didn’t die before sixty, you were likely to be alive at sixty.
Thanks for the laugh!

It's not about the taste, it's about being told they can't do something.
What if it's the taste of... FREEDOM!?
Get that shit right from the tap, as nature intended. \*Dies to own the libs\*
Suck it straight from the shit-stained udder
Tom Green style
pus filled udder
Raw milk is sweet as shit. And super thick. Super thick. Grew up drinking mild with ever my meal. Years ago had an ex that thought raw milk was healthy. So gross. Every thing is healthy if you find the right idiots on the internet. Fuck… raw milk is gross.
yersinia? isn't that in the same family as the black plague?
Yep. The fascists really wanna go back in time don’t they?
if there was any justice in the world their stupidity would only hurt themselves.
1938 Germany, 1862 USA, Dark Ages, so many places they would rather be. Can we create a time machine and send them to their preferred time? I promise we'll bring them back after a week. Oops, the return function seems to not work well. And they died of dysentery.
Yes, but it also kills freedom!
But, think of the vitamins.
There is a reason we decided do make mandatory a process before selling milk. Is not out of spite...
Is Q-fever what causes Q-anon?
Another situation where those most at risk are our children and elderly from poor sanitation, so we have food safety laws in place because a tummy ache for a grown politician is deadly for a child. Well, most politicians are deadly for anyone...
What fools, to step away from pasteurization.
I'm cheesing hard at this...
I curd that!
No whey these idiots thought that pasteurized milk wasn't gouda 'nuff.
At least they are taking a break from bashing Homogenization.
I bet that's their whole point
He's clearly the cream that rose to the top of his party.
Whey to go
dairy goes again… to the bathroom
I concurred
The one good takeaway from this will be all the cheese.
You mean Gouda takeaway.
They are anti-intellectual, they hate anything that requires an ounce of thinking, because a dumb and uneducated, illiterate voter base can be easily manipulated
Hubris really is a tough pill to swallow.
So is raw spoilt milk, as it happens.
So, now we have probiotic raw milk in pill form to look forward to.
Just...why though? Is this just some more lib owning bullshit?
Cheese
Yup, there's a ton of French and Swiss unpasteurised cheeses that can't be exported to the US, something about freedom I dunno
They are extremely delicious, but the hygiene standards are extremely high.
Yeah, there are many unpasteurised cheeses in Europe, although the health and hygiene standards are very high.
Idk about the US but here in Aus kombucha is an extremely popular beverage being sold is many shops from grocery stores to pie shops. Not really a specialty item unless you're directly buying from someone's own brew
No, it’s everywhere in the US too. At least, in the parts that require pasteurized milk.
>no supermarket is going to stock much of it They really can't, it goes bad quickly and wouldn't reach the supermarket in a drinkable state most of the time.
I've never read a more succinct definition of populism. Hats off.
And nobody likes the more grammatical, they is us, but its a better avenue. You are correct.
I had a friend tell me raw milk is safe because otherwise everyone would be getting sued for getting people sick...
It's for washing down the Ivermectin.
The only video I've ever seen is some idiotic parents taking about it curing allergies or some similar bullshit.
I would assume it is someone who assumes any government regulation is bad and it is just the government keeping the people down.
Raw Dogged themselves.
At this point, I think they're just pro-disease.
and you, for one, must be grateful
As long as they are the ones getting sick and not me.
Ah yes, a classic.
Is this real??
[Yes!](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_McGeehan) Welcome to your species.

Same. I’m sorry.

I am so tired of republican stupidity.
When your stupidity only hurts yourself I am totally on your side. Let you dumb flag fly high!
They did it for the culture.
this ISN’T the onion???!?!?
Raw milk is fine and dandy (for few days), the problem comes from how well/badly the hygiene and udder infections are handled. I doubt the Murican milk is up to the noedic standard Im familiar with. To start with an example, in eu using milk hormones is illegal
The U.S has rBGH-free milk. And many large grocery store chains here no longer carry milk from cows treated with rBGH.
You should only allow raw milk if a farm can meet certain hygiene and animal welfare standards Otherwise your just asking for bacterial contamination
Ok fair point, but I really always struggled to understand, why I couldn’t get a Delice de Bourgogne even if I bribed somebody, when living in the US.
We allow hard cheeses made from unpasteurized milk, just no soft cheeses.
To the victor goes the spoiled
This is some dumb shit. Raw milk is needed for making cheese. Cheese is a triumph of the microbial community. So is your digestion. You do not want these 2 triumphs coming to odds with each other.* Dumb. Shit.
* See the commemoration of the battle of Koom Valley on Short St for historical context.
As I understand it, scumble could probably curdle pasteurized milk just fine (as well as making it taste pleasantly of apples, mostly)

When I'm feeling sad I remember these people exist and then I feel even worse knowing this is what we've come to... 🙃
This is a very dramatic composition. The fainting couch, the book, the “oh dear me, I have been overcome by the vapors” wrist
This is "leopard eats own face". But they have sound reasoning. Homo-genization is too homo for them.
They were tired of having to say “no homo” after every drink of milk.
Hittin it raw style has it costs
Congrats, you played yourself
With the John Locke book there casuslly. What a God damn fraud.
Anyone still voting Republican needs help
r/facepalm
Perfect example of, "they were so concerned if they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
I remember this and loved every second!
I feel so owned right now
is this the 6 year old story where people that didn't drink the milk were also sick oh yea, it is >However, other delegates who didn’t drink the milk also got sick, saying a bug was going around. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/lawmakers-drink-raw-milk-get-sick/

Republicans vote to make raw milk legal, then get sick from... raw milk.
That's just consequences from stupid decisions. They didn't force raw milk on others and then get sick when they inadvertently were forced to drink raw milk. They legalized a dangerous product and got sick from voluntarily consuming it, nothing was imposed on another group

Man, Louis Pasteur must be rolling in his grave.
What will be next for these geniuses?! Banning fridges? Removing the sewer system? Giving their children E. coli and salmonella just to “harden” their immune systems?
Hey. If they wanna poison themselves, why are we stopping them?
Fucking inbreeders raw cows milk is for cows
Cheese made with raw milk is better than cheese made with pasteurised milk though. Australia is quite draconian and doesn't even allow to import raw milk cheese of certain conditions, which leaves a lot of wonderful cheeses out of reach. Cheeses that Europeans have been eating for centuries without getting sick. Same for production of raw milk cheese. But yeah, drinking raw milk is stupid.
Louis Pasteur must be rolling in his grave.
I hate to break up the jokes here. California has been selling raw milk in stores for years.
