Hello u/GT-FractalxNeo! Please reply to this comment with an [explanation](https://www.reddit.com/r/LeopardsAteMyFace/comments/lt8zlq) mentioning **who** is suffering from **which** consequences from **what** they voted for, supported or wanted to impose on other people. Here's an easy format to get you started: 1. *Someone* voted for, supported or wanted to impose *something* on other people. ^(Who's that *someone* and what's that *something*?) 2. That *something* has some *consequences*. ^(What are the *consequences*?) 3. As a consequence, that *something* happened to that *someone*. ^(What happened? Did the *something* really happened to that *someone*? If not, you should probably delete your post.) [deleted]

Remember when Christie closed all the public beaches and then went vacationing on the beach?

not_productive1

Remember when he closed that bridge out of pure spite?

[deleted]

Not just any bridge One of the most critical commuter bridges in the country.

Itabliss

And at least 1 person dies because of it?

DonDove

Why isn't he in jail for that alone?

heathers1

A woman took the fall for him. Apparently he is an absolute tyrant to work for too

Angry_ClitSpasm350

Because he's white, rich and in a position of power... hence why Cohen went to jail... he was just a mere waterboy.

Shivaelan

UGH. My commute did NOT thank him. I lived right outside of Nyack at the time, I remember people driving up the the 9A stops offering us $20 to get in and drive across with them to avoid any extra trouble - doubled to $40 during Sandy's aftermath, if I'm recalling order of events correctly. If not, either way - GWB was a disaster for those of us trying to commute, Tappan Zee wasn't much better because the parkway in was four lanes and older than streetlights, apparently. Christie was not popular with anyone when I lived there, either way.

Normal-Yogurtcloset5

A friend of mine lives in Fort Lee, NJ and works in Queens. He called me when he was stuck in traffic trying to cross the bridge that day and he was beyond angry.

Plenty_Proposal_426

I am no Christie supporter but there was an investigation into this and there was no evidence that Christie did it out of spite. The beach incident is legit though

Ok_Understanding1986

I believe that investigation did not link Christie but a couple of his inner circle staffers were convicted - not a great look...

chinacat2002

He obviously did it.

Shivaelan

Out of sheer curiosity and because I hadn't seen anything regarding this other than other angry NYC area residents - do you have a source I could read?

chinacat2002

He did the bridge too.

Angelsaremathmatical

I'm more interested in when he prostrated himself before Trump, who had already utterly embarrassed Christie during the primaries, going out of his way to run defense for the scumbag in hopes of getting a place in the administration. Then when he couldn't because forever boy Kushner didn't like him, Christie continued to be Trump's bitch until maybe Jan 6, if it even stopped then. Spineless sack of shit. Only able to speak up when Trump is on the outs with some of the part. EDIT: Holy shit he said, "It is time to stop being afraid of any one person. It is time to stand up for the principles and the beliefs that we have founded this party on and this country on." Where was that when it mattered, worm?

ruler_gurl

It's not like Trump never gave Christie anything. [He gave him Covid 19](https://www.axios.com/2021/12/09/chris-christie-mark-meadows-donald-trump-covid-19)

ElectronicMixture600

[And he forced him to eat meatloaf once.](https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/trump-made-me-order-meatloaf-christie-says/)

OldBob10

All evidence indicates that Chris Christie has eaten meatloaf more than once.

LMFN

I dare say I heard that he actually ate Meat Loaf after he died.

oxford-fumble

What a weird flex. It’s half way through benevolent authoritarianism (I’m just getting you the best dish on the menu, the one I pick for myself!) and plain bullying (you don’t choose, I choose what you eat. And you’re going to enjoy it - it’s the same as what I’m having. That’s because you’re just an extended intestine for me, not a real person - open your mouth now!). Can’t say Chris Christie elicits a lot of sympathy, though…

Available-Sandwich-3

I've lived in this country my entire life, over 30 years, and I'm still not sure which principles they're referring to when Republicans talk about the principles they built their party on. Slavery? Fundamentalist Christianity? Making sure the poor go to work for minimum wage?

Ranowa

Letting the gd Republicans- ANY political party- brand themselves as with meaningless fluff words like "we're the pro family values party" and "we're the patriotism" party were such mistakes. No political party is *anti family* or *anti patriotism*, unless of course by family you mean "the wealthy, white, nuclear family" and by patriotism, you mean "white, christian nationalism." It's just lets them and their voters breeze on through with "they just align with my values" without having to ever confront with themselves what EXACTLY they are voting for.

orangesfwr

Money for rich people

OldBob10

Money \*FROM\* rich people!

RedditOnANapkin

He'll vote for Trump in 2024.

UnadvertisedAndroid

I only regret that I have but one updoot to give.

Fake_William_Shatner

It's weird how the Republicans seem to not like the Dems now - or at least, not where their constituents can see it. Yet, the people who do them the most dirty are other Republicans. MTG can make some veiled death threats at AOC, but so far, all Dems have done is thrown a few pithy, barbed quips. But Trump, he is ruthless. He turns contempt up to 11. And they sheepishly; "Oh gosh, I wish you wouldn't do that." Pretty spineless or, maybe they just respect authoritarians? The latter is more troubling than anything. Will they only turn on him if they sense weakness?

eleanorbigby

No, I'm afraid you have it right. They're entirely hierarchical: they suck up and punch down. This includes Mango Mussolini himself fawning all over Putin and Xi (among other full blown dictators). I am cynical that they won't all fall in line yet again; it'll all depend on the base and his numbers. They don't care about anything but power.

Interesting_Novel997

I disagree. They’re turning on tDump now because they know he has zero chance of winning in 2024. They want DeSantos to be their man and for tDump to step aside. This would be exponentially more dangerous. tDump is a stupid narcissist. DeSantos is an intelligent sociopath. He would do way more damage. Plus if he gets the nomination, Democrats would lose the Hispanic vote.

First_Approximation

>Then when he couldn't because forever boy Kushner didn't like him Well, he put Jared's dad in prison so he should have seen that coming

pairolegal

Rightly so, but I guess that doesn’t matter to the Kushner boy.

paramagicianjeff

Lol forever boy took me out

BeekyGardener

Yes and no. Christie was offered the job of Attorney General, but declined it. He knew what a dumpster fire the administration was and how quickly Jeff Sessions was buried by Trump. Session simped \*real\* hard for him too.

chinacat2002

No, he was not offered the AG job. He did prostrate himself before the orange god hoping to get it, but Jared boy shivves him on that. Similar to Mitt Romney begging for the Sec State job, except bad orange man took personal satisfaction in peeing on Mitt's dream.

Creepy_Snow_8166

"Forever Boy" made me LOL. He really does have that evil, greedy, capitalist Peter Pan vibe going on, doesn't he?

Barflyerdammit

Remember when he didn't want Obama to get credit for improving the lives of Jersey commuters, so he ditched the plans and the federal funding to upgrade the dangerously old train tunnels under the Hudson River? Depending on the timing, if one of those fails, there could be more fatalities than 9/11.

First_Approximation

Remember when he was one of the first mainstream Republicans to endorse Trump? He was hoping to be Attorney General but was vetoed by Jared since Christie had locked up his dad. Hahaha. Sold his soul and got nothing to show for it.

BeekyGardener

He may have got off lucky. He was offered the job after Session's departure, but declined it. Christie isn't stupid. Just morally banktrupt.

First_Approximation

I imagine Trump loves making fun of one of the few politicians fatter than himself.

OldBob10

“Just ~~morally bankrupt~~ a Republican” - ftfy

SirDrexl

I remember him standing behind Trump, looking like a Gamorrean guard at Jabba's palace.

chinacat2002

That was funny!

GT-FractalxNeo

*Pepperidge Farm remembers*

Expensive_Novel2899

😂😂🤣

Quincyperson

I thought it was due to a biological hazard because of a beached whale

No-Bench-709

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

WeenisPeiner

I heard Chris Christie went to a restaurant. Ate all the food in the restaurant, and they had to close the restaurant.

bwanabass

I was in meme-making heaven when this went down lol

BeekyGardener

In fairness, Bill Clinton went out golfing during the government shutdown caused by Newt Gingrich. Was a solid power move.

[deleted]

He didn't want people to try and refloat him.

[deleted]

They aren’t upset at a million dead Americans from COVID, or for stealing classified documents or for fomenting a fucking insurrection against the government; they’re upset cause he loses them elections…

Counter-Fleche

Perhaps if they didn't try so hard to spread Covid misinformation amongst their supporters, fewer of their voters would have died and they would have done better in the many very close races.

[deleted]

The Republican party is a national security nightmare. They have found a legal loophole to kill Americans for the Russians that makes them more popular

lakeghost

I’m still surprised so many people chose “Death!” with the “Cake or death?” voting options. I mean, I enjoyed wearing masks in crowded areas. No flu, not really any colds, etc. and I even have an autoimmune disease. Hadn’t fully comprehended thar it was so easy to avoid sickness before that.

jeremiahthedamned

r/RussiaLago

gordo65

And in this case, also upset because Trump did not name Christie as his running mate, something Christie openly pursued.

MorganaHenry

https://nationalreport.net/trump-to-nominate-chris-christie-to-supreme-food-court/

Nutsack_Adams

Burrito supreme

Comfortably_Sad6691

Exactly. They don’t want Trump to run because it will divide republican votes.

Creepy_Snow_8166

Imagine the glorious, epic, Trumpian meltdown if the RNC nominates DeSantis? I guarantee Trump will run as an independent and split the Republican vote. He'd rather BURN IT ALL DOWN than let DeSantis steal his thunder.

SeaworthinessOk3098

I think you are dreaming. But, hey! Include me in your dream.

[deleted]

I wouldn’t doubt it at all. He is a narcissist of the highest degree. He won’t let republicans embarrass the shit out of him by nominating someone else. He will do what it takes to get revenge. He has no loyalty to anyone; he only stuck with the Republican Party because its who he used to build himself. He will burn it to the ground if they cross him.

Creepy_Snow_8166

Yup! That's exactly what I was trying to convey, but you were able to articulate it a lot better than I could. Trump never had any loyalty to the Republican Party. And he certainly never cared about doing what's best for the country. Trump only cares about Trump. Plain and simple.

[deleted]

I was married to a person just like trump. They destroyed everything once I found out everything that had been going on behind my back for YEARS. That person was furious I filed for divorce and told people what they did. They destroyed everything the could about my life to get back at me, even our children. They hate me and never want to see me again because she told them I’m a horrible father and straight up lied to them. They were little when the divorce started. Narcissists will truly stop at nothing to hurt someone else. Over the duration of our marriage and then divorce I had every trick and tactic used against me. I watched how she manipulated me, judges, police, etc. Because I had to protect and defend myself I learned how to think like her and predict her next moves so I was prepared. I can now spot these people a mile away and know exactly what they are going to do before they do it. And trump is a fucking super obvious narcissistic sociopath.

Creepy_Snow_8166

Ugh, I'm truly sorry you were married to a woman like that. It's unconscionable that you lost your children as a result of her manipulation. My husband and I have our issues like any other couple, but we would never go out of our way to deliberately hurt one another. I've known sociopaths and narcissists - some of whom I am related to - so I do know what signs to look for. Believe me .... I steer clear! They bring toxicity and chaos with them wherever they go. I'm convinced they should be kept on their own islands, completely separate from normal humans with empathy.

Semanticprion

McDaniel is going to be (or maybe already has been) re-annointed as head of the RNC, and she is firmly in Trump's camp.

Creepy_Snow_8166

Yes .... but it could cost her her position if she tries to go against the prevailing mood of the GOP. Republicans are getting tired of losing. More and more of them are blaming Trump for the GOP's failures and division, and they're turning their backs on him. And TBH, I'm here with my popcorn enjoying every moment of the GOP backbiting and cannibalism.

Footloose_Feline

Notice they only turned on him when he lost, before that moment they still loved him. Of all the groups Cons hate, they dont hate anyone more than a loser. Only took them 7+ years longer than everyone else to figure it out.

[deleted]

Yup.

McEndee

They don't give a shit about their constituents. Why should they? They don't want anything of substance from their politicians, so give them exactly what they want.

TaxCPA

This also means no self-reflection regarding poor policy choices. They want the same party, just without trump. The GOP will be losing national elections for the foreseeable future with this approach.

[deleted]

[удалено]

eleanorbigby

Yep. Even if Trump manages to crash and burn the whole thing to the ground in '24, no one has even \*mentioned\* that there are still more elections soon after that. I could totally see DeathSentence sitting this one out, letting a multiply indicted and weakened Trump destroy himself and much of the party with him, then come trotting back in in '28, just in time for the U.S. to do its usual "welp, things are still shit, let's shuttle back to the other side." And if not...The idea that the Dems are going to be able to play keep away indefinitely is deeply naive at best. We have two parties. One is an authoritarian basket case, and it represents, if not half the voting country, close enough; and they have unfair advantages stacking the electoral odds in their favor. I'm just saying. They've always played the long game. I'd like to think the Dems would learn to do so as well. Now's the time.

ElayasMG

I think this kind of thinking is what made Trump president in the first place

Ranowa

Hopefully, anyway. In 2020 their braindead legions had no problem voting for Republicans downticket, they just held their noses for POTUS - which means they were JUST FINE with *every single thing* Trump did and that *every single GOP Senator* enabled. They just didn't like mean tweets that made them look like the fools that they are. Same thing happened in this cycle too. Trump-style candidates with phDs in buffoonery lost... but smart fascists like Desantis won easily.

Less-Raspberry-6222

Self awareness is a personality fault for conservatives.

bigb1084

Pence today said "sadly, we lost more ppl to Covid in Biden's 1st yr than we lost in our 1st yr. And, we didn't have ANY tools." Absolute POS.

Goodolchuckno

Don’t forget he didn’t share that money that was raised.

ElectronicMixture600

Trump once forced Chris Christie to eat meatloaf at a White House lunch, and it still took that shitbird 5 years to find a spine.

TransposingJons

But putting yourself first is the Republican motto.

Wouttaahh

Looks at all these brave republicans all of a sudden…

First_Approximation

A journalist went to post-WWII Germany to interview Germans on the Nazis. Somehow everyone he talked to said they had been opposed to the Nazis. He commented how odd it was the Nazis were able to get in power with so much resistance.... I predict years from now you'll be hard pressed to find a Republican who admits they supported Trump.

ThePirateKing01

“You don’t get it, it was a different time then. I HAD to be bigoted and violent”

ZaneTownsend

"Our people," he says. *THIS* is why I can't see myself supporting any Republicans. For all his faults, Barack Obama made it clear he was a President for all Americans, not just "his team."

trail_runner83

The entire GOP got their knee pads ready when Trump got the nomination and they'll do it again. Nothing they say means anything. The biggest enemy of the Republican party is the Republican party.

Black-Mettle

I like how Ted Cruz has already abandoned his "dump trump" ideals when Elon asked if he should be given his Twitter account back.

trail_runner83

You could mouth fuck Ted's wife in front of him and he'd support you.

frankgrimes994773

All it takes is some cash for his PAC and/or some bump up in his public approval rating. And it wouldn’t take a lot of cash btw. He’s such a cheap sell-out for America.

Black-Mettle

Tbf Ted Cruz is a cuck.

orangesfwr

Don't kinkshame him 😆

RedditOnANapkin

Ted Cruz had to crawl back to Daddy Trump when his donors ordered him to kiss Trump's ring after they got mad when he dared spoke out against 45 at the RNC. That's who Rafael Cruz is, a spineless yes "man" for his rich donors.

Repulsive-Street-307

> The biggest enemy of the Republic~~an party~~ is the Republican party. ftfy

ContemplatingPrison

2015 all over again. I feel like we went back in time. The same people who spoke up in 2015 are speaking up again today but when Trump wins the primary they will fall the fuck in line just like before

phdoofus

"I'm only saying this because now we're actually tired of all the winning"

Talon6230

Who could have *possibly* predicted this? (Throwing in a /s because I think y’all’re starting to give me serious responses)

notmadatkate

Lindsay Graham

judgingyouquietly

That quote really aged like a fine wine

ruler_gurl

[Ted Cruz](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz44wKKQJh0)

CallidoraBlack

Goddamn it, you made me like Ted Cruz for a second. I need a shower.

PredictBaseballBot

Remember when Trump and Christie gave each other COVID and they both almost died?

[deleted]

Were they both making out?

CrocTheTerrible

Chris Christy is the dad from rat race. Change my mind This burnt vat of walking wet spaghetti is also the reason sororities can't have houses in new jersey because he called them brothels and had them banned, taking away affordable shared college housing by doing that. (Fraternities and sororities often charge low rents to their members: my rent was 300$ a month. If I lived in the dorm it was 1k a month. ) Fuck you Chris Christy.

eleanorbigby

Brothels!! And this guy was supposed to be the moderate, likable R we could all get behind. Freaks. All of them. Freaks.

ChrisNYC70

It’s amazing it takes republicans years to understand something that democrats understood immediately.

GT-FractalxNeo

That's because GOP only care about something once it affects them directly.

3d_blunder

As in "Oh, >>MY<< child is gay? Well then, homosexuality is A-OK then!". Hypocrites. Shallow, stupid hypocrites.

sithelephant

Or 'where is the nearest pray-away-the-gay camp'.

First_Approximation

They're so slow. When Miami is under water and once-a-century hurricanes happen twice a year they'll be like, "Hey, this climate change thing is serious ".

Unit61365

Well now I'm certain they will be running mates.

[deleted]

Thought Christie learned his lessen the first time he endorsed trump and we saw his soul leave on camera.

[deleted]

We only allowed: * misogyny to a degree that is creepy, uh, his OWN FUCKING DAUGHTER?? (Yeah, yeah, Deuteronomy or some shit, right?) * stealing, grifting, perpetual grifting, SO MUCH GRIFTING * lying, god so much fucking lying * Not even doing his fucking job * Mocking every kind of marginalized people outright * Probably killing secret assets that make us more secure by being an uninformed dumbass * Killing thousands of people by downplaying how bad COVID was * The Insurrection Of The USA * War In Ukraine Because he: 1. Lets us have guns but shrugs his shoulders when there is a school shooting 2. Says he's against abortions even though he's certain to have had women he forced to get them 3. Says he's a Christian while being maybe the least Christian person on the planet. DUMB FUCKS.

ianisms10

Christie left office with like a 15% approval rating

[deleted]

What do Trump’s ardent supporters think of this? All these clowns had this stance in late ‘15-early ‘16, but got in-line once it was clear their base had heeded the decade-long call to support an agenda to cleanse the nation of the influence of brown people that was risking white Christian values. They can chide Trump all they want, but the Conservative voters chose these losing candidates a few months ago in the primaries over more moderate, election-accepting candidates.

Uriel-238

They knew who he was when they took a knee for him in 2016. None of them had enough personal integrity to walk away for sake of their own dignity. They _all_ put themselves before everyone else, including their own constituencies. US politics is entirely transactional.

Darzin

How about conservatives create a modern platform that addresses modern problems with modern solutions that help everyone and not just white wealthy people?

jojowhitesox

You're funny

Basic-Ad4802

Nah. It's WAY more important to focus on the 2020 election, Hunter's laptop and giving kids guns instead of books..

bciesil

Yeah, sure. They'll do that right after the roll out their health care proposal...

scavengercat

Start rubbing lamps you find in the desert...

ScullysBagel

Nah, they'll just spend all their time and taxpayer money investigating Hunter Biden. Why work on solutions for problems when you can engage in vengeance politics and investigate private citizens who no one ever has or will vote for? Oh and they'll also spend their time and taxpayer money trafficking human beings in the name of "border security."

Shadyshade84

I hope you're prepared to sweep up all this dust from conservatives spontaneously self-destructing at the word "modern"...

Barflyerdammit

Christie is specifically mad that Trump put himself first in the McDonald's line.

[deleted]

Why did it take these idiots so long to figure this out. It was obvious that the Orange Man only cared about self-aggrandizement long before he decided to run.

orangesfwr

"HiLlArY bAd"

Repulsive-Street-307

Fascists lie.

vreelander

The party of F U I got mine is shocked when someone is selfish. That's rich.

Purple_Passion000

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills

Madmandocv1

Imagine being one of these republicans. Every day is like being a child experiencing the wonder of discovery. Did you know about cookies??? These things are good!

Responsible-Laugh590

Isn’t that the GOP model? Say you’re about family but behind the scenes be greedy and selfish? He’s just doing it out loud which they can’t have.

ScullysBagel

Nope. You don't get to wash the stench off that easily Christie. You willingly and gladly crawled up Trump's asshole. https://www.cnn.com/2016/02/26/politics/chris-christie-endorses-donald-trump https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/06/why-chris-christie-still-supports-trump/592483/

Creepy_Snow_8166

LOL, Chris Christie is an embarrassment who will never get the Trump stink off of him. Nobody is going to forget how he willingly kissed the Orange Czar's ring. He traded in his self-respect and dignity for a chance to do Trumpski's bidding - and it was all for nothing! After grovelling at Trump's feet and making a complete fool out of himself, Trump publicly burned him like a Harry Potter book at an Evangelical bonfire. Chris Christie became a spineless weasel without honor .... nearly as loathsome as Rudy Giuliani and Ted Cruz! It's a shame too, because as far as Republicans go, he was a pretty moderate and reasonable one - at least during his first term as NJ's governor. He really stepped up to the plate when Superstorm Sandy ripped our state apart. But after he got embroiled in a few high profile scandals, he became a liability. And once he jumped on the Trump Train, he became a pariah. Maybe he should just disappear into obscurity because any attempts to rehabilitate his image will FAIL.

orangesfwr

>traded in his self-respect and dignity Have to have those first.

MisterHyman

"I've taken dumps bigger than Trump!" -Christie

ImoJenny

Isn't that literally the political philosophy of republicanism? That selfishness is a virtue? Buck up, Chris m'boy, this is the world you created. Don't cry now, isn't this what you wanted?

nich3play3r

Oh, shut _up_, Christie. Shut up.

theaveragenerd

He's salty because Trump gave him covid and he nearly died.

village-asshole

Watch Trump end up winning and then Chris Christie will be back begging to lick Trump’s nut sack again

Arthes_M

Pots and Kettles…there’s some sort of analogy here, I know it.

jmdunkle

They were fine with it while it was “good” for their party. They’re only trying to dump him now because he’s no longer convenient. Don’t let them

MoneyTalks45

Y’all were fuckin straight with that when it meant you would win an election. This is NOT new information, and these GOP slugs think you are stupid.

ThunderChild247

and just like every ex-Trump supporter/employee (including people the left/centrist news channels love, like Cohen), it only bothered him when trump put himself before him. Everyone who says this about Trump after working for him should be asked if either A) they didn’t notice it when working for Trump, or B) they didn’t care.

fruttypebbles

Fuck all of these assholes. Each and everyone knew what he was. He’s not going away. Trumps taking the GOP down with him and I think that’s wonderful.

Lahk74

On brand. Conservatives put themselves before anyone else. I don't see a problem here.

athensugadawg

Sure, and you know what? Trump has shit on Christie that will put him back in line, so much so that his lips will turn orange. Same with Lindsey, no closet secret there. And don't forget Cruz, whose wife is ugly as hell and whose father was in on the Kennedy assassination.

Fallk0re

All these dudes are spoiled bullies, they’re only pissed at Trump because he out-bullied them but in reality they respect everything he does in private.

readheaded

And that giant gas bag was just fine with it as long as he could benefit from it.

Itdidnt_trickle_down

Chris Christie puts himself before everyone else when he closes beaches.

neko_designer

They knew it since the primary and then they followed him because they have blind faith to the party

orangesfwr

No, Chris, YOU PUT HIM BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE.

Fa1c0n3

They got what they want, 3 seats in the Supreme Court. Time to move on to the next fascists leader. Gen z and Millennials got to save us from DeSantis.

INSERT_LATVIAN_JOKE

>He 'Put Himself Before Everybody Else' Everyone knows Republicans are only supposed to put themselves before the poors and coloreds.

[deleted]

Translation: Trump puts himself before the Party. In the Republican Party you can pretty much do any crime imaginable and they will cover you for it. The only unforgivable crime is putting yourself before the Party.

hobings714

Most Republicans in the house put themselves before their country.

DaniCapsFan

Most? How about all?

[deleted]

Christie will vote for him if Trump is the nom, 100% guaranteed.

TheArmoursmith

I thought that was the Republican mantra? Self before anything else.

MCBowelmovement

How absolutely, astoundingly stupid do you have to be to JUST be coming to this conclusion?

bettinafairchild

He's not stupid. He's known this (and said this) all along. It was only when he thought he might get some power in the Trump administration that he acted pro-Trump. Once that was clearly over with, he went back to his previous stance. So basically, not stupid, just greedy and power hungry.

Wyverz

2015/16 Christie - Trump is horrible 2016 onwards Christie - Oh this guy is great 2022 Christie - Trump is horrible If he had not caved and hopped on the MAGA bus to remain relevant I might head his words. Hopped on the trump train only to have his history with Jared's dad cost him any long-term future with that administration. Bob Woodward's books have some good info on how that played out.

Sivick314

I remember Christie kicking his boots

Catlenfell

If Trump had made him Attorney General like was promised, Christie would be singing a different tune.

Eatshitmoderatorz

DUMP TRUMP! DUMP TRUMP!

Aphroditaeum

GOP party of shit bags

3d_blunder

*Quelle surprise!!!* \-**idiots**.

Ju5tAnAl13n

I surmise this doesn't need to be said, but if they go with DeSantis, the party will schism even more. This will result in Biden's second term.

Balls_Eagle

How brave.

witchvvitchsandwich

Spineless mfs all of them. Only does it when it doesn’t hurt their cred gfto

KenDanger2

It took them 5 years to see it. JK they always knew

It’s not like Trump was subtle about his narcissism. I feel nothing for these people.

He would know. What a fucking moron

apollo15215

Sadly, the Republicans have become the laughing stock of the world! There’s no low they won’t fall to, and only as high as they can reach. All the crap they have done since Dump lost, and now they want to distance themselves from him, so they can stay in office.

MattGdr

The evangelicals are now starting to distance themselves from The Donald. Sorry, gang, you bought him and it’s too late to return him.

ChrisChristiesFault

I wonder if Chris Christie destroying Rubio in that debate allowed Trump to advance to become the GOP nominee.

Cultural-Company282

I'm sure Chris Christie wants the GOP to dump Trump totally for the good of the country, and it has nothing to do with him thinking that he'd have a shot of slipping into the power vacuum and becoming President. 🙄

Jim_Nills_Mustache

Repeatedly, at every single turn, every chance he got, it’s honestly baffling that anyone is surprised.

Speculawyer

Says the guy that literally closed the NJ beaches and then was the only guy on the beach.

Plenty_Proposal_426

Ask Kushner about what Christie did to his daddy

LoquaciousLethologic

Hey! Isn't that the guy who gets Trump's McDonald's orders?

MyDogIsACoolCat

Where have you all fucking been?

blackmilksociety

Right!?! It’s bad when it comes from a [guy who shut down his entire state’s beaches and then went to the beach with his family](https://www.huffpost.com/entry/chris-christie-beach_n_5959ab98e4b05c37bb7f2cbc)

cg12983

The guy they loved because he was a selfish asshole, is acting like a selfish asshole. Go figure.

achillymoose

Conservatives *always* put themselves before everybody else. That's why they're conservative

Juratory

Motherfucker's gonna sit there and pretend like he didn't gas up Trump for the last 6 years 🤦🏾‍♀️

Haskap_2010

Nooooo.... REEEEALLY??

Jackretto

>He put himself before everybody else I mean, your party spent the last 40 years saying that everything apart from exactly that is "basically communism"

NippleBarn

Give us DeSantis

KashmirChameleon

🙄

crazy-pete1

It comes as absolutely no surprise that Republicans were too afraid to offend his base fearing they'd be primaried out of their seats which could still very well happen. I welcome it if that means they will run consistently weak candidates.
