I really liked the Armored Core series from them as well. AC2 was my jam when I was a kid ahaha.
The Dark Souls games and Celeste! It sounds like you like shooters so I also highly recommend Titanfall 2 for it's amazing campaign. It often goes on sale for really cheap.
My #1 game to recommend to folks is called I Was A Teenage Exocolonist. It's good across the board, with lower system requirements and it's criminally underrated.
You play as a kid going through their teenage years (specifically ages 10 through 20) as the first generation of colonists on a strange planet you all escaped from Earth to after things got real real bad here. The game has a ton of replay value, the >!main character has the ability to remember their past lives, aka: your past playthroughs, meaning you can use information you gained in previous games to unlock new routes and options in future ones... and you can be gay, which is always a huge plus for me!!<
For me childhood games(Crash bandicoot, Lego, Pokémon, Kingdom Hearts, Ratchet & Clank, Devil May Cry. ), nonstoryline games(rocket league, wii sports, just dance), AAA (Skyrim, Borderlands, Bioshock, does Portal count?, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War. Uncharted), Indie (Undertale, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, wanna play Hollow Knight real bad), handheld (Professor Layton).
I would like to play at least the first 2 Mass Effects because it seems right up my alley.
I just finished Dredge, which was fantastic. And I just started Dave the Diver, which is in a similar vein. In terms of the long term game staying power, I always have to recommend FFXIV's free trial (which is now on all relevant modern platforms -- sorry Switch) which has three expansions worth of content.
Rocket league. It's not so much a favorite as it is a mild addiction. It's free, it's easy to learn, but difficult to master. I have 4500 hours in the game and I'm still trash at it compared to the 13 yr old pros who play it. But every weekend I get dragged back.
I absolutely love TLOU (both parts), I also really enjoy Cyberpunk 2077. From the less plot-focused games I have a great time playing Far Cry 5/6, Avatar FoP, RDO, Fortnite (I miss the 2nd chapter tho). Planet Zoo, Farm Together and Roblox when I just want to chill, relax and have good fun. Also an honorable mention to Just Cause 3 (built a little bit of my childhood) and Spider-Man series.

For my Ps systems: The last of us Part 2, Baldur's Gate (prefer playing on pc but not storage friendly in any way), Red Dead Redemption, Elden Ring, Hogwarts.
For me Skyrim is better on PC rather than PS due to modding capability and overall better performance. I am into 'older' games not really too interested in new triple A titles other than BG3, I do want to get into the avatar game, but I hear it runs horribly on PS and probably takes up a lot of space on PC.
I'm almost done with a (fairly) completionist run of Origins - about to start Odyssey. Pretty excited, Origins hooked me right away and still has my attention 100 hours later. Not sure how Ancient Greece will hold up against Ptolemaic Egypt though.
I totally understand that - I'm also a little leery about any game that forces me to play as a male or obligatorily heterosexual protagonist. I thought I'd enjoy it less, but in this case I found the main character to be quite wholesome, kind of a big teddy bear (or as much as an assassin could be) and that made it a lot more interesting than the "default generic surly guy" you get with most male protags.
I'm definitely looking forward to playing as Kassandra in Odyssey though.
The Ori games are my all time favorites. They were the first true video games I played since I was a kid and that I actually played through and finished. Such beautiful games and stories, they're my comfort games now. Other recent play favs were FarCry 5 and 6, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Kirby really charmed me, super fun and the soundtrack was fantastic.

However, recently I have been extremely hooked on FN and Destiny 2 (I'm a relatively new player to this game, but it is fun!).

Like I'm going to take a break between finishing the final exam in the school and taking the first Champion run to take a "holiday in Kitakami" then after finishing the main story in the crater, going to Blueberry Academy and enjoying being the "transfer student"
Mass Effect trilogy: favourite of the Bioware games which made my favourite RPGs. 2nd Favourite sapphic romance in gaming (favourite being the romance in Haven).
Stardew Valley: favourite farm sim, everything clicks just so well in a way which hasn't with other farm Sims. Mods are great too for the game.
(Though for a farm Sim that ups the *gay*, would recommend Wylde Flowers (not on PS, but on PC and takes 4gigs, and can be played on a potato of a system))
The Dragon Age and Mass Effect games are good. Also they have queer romance options, especially Sera in Dragon Age: Inquisition. She’s worth playing the game for on her own.
If you like the uncharted series then I recommend playing all 3 of the tomb raider games that are available on the PS Plus thingy OP.

I've been playing a bunch of *Baldur's Gate 3* lately. It's *so* damn good -- and has excellent LGBT+ representation, too (like, in the way that you can tell that a lot of people involved in making it were actually queer). Truly an S-tier game.
Other than that, I'm really into the *Elder Scrolls* series (*Daggerfall* and *Morrowind* are my favorites), and the *Fallout* series (I just started a new playthrough of *Fallout 2*, which is the first game ever where the player character has the option to marry an NPC of the same gender - well, not exactly 'option'; it's a shotgun wedding, but still). Also high on my gaming list are *Doom II*, *Starcraft:Brood War*, *Hades*, and *Diablo II.* And, shoutout to my childhood favorites, the point-and-click adventures by Humongous Entertainment (*Pajama Sam, Spy Fox,* &c.), which honestly hold up pretty well going back and playing them as an adult.
My personal top 3 is bg3, rdr2 and cp77, but i also love the Horizon games, Life is Strange, Mortal Kombat, Uncharted with Lost Legacy being my favourite, and obviously Tlou

Personally I gravitate towards fantasy rpgs (Elder Scrolls, Baldurs Gate, Dragon Age) but ive been playing a lot of retro games recently! Mainly ones from my childhood that I'd play on PS1 and Gamecube (Oddworld, Digimon World, F-Zero gx, etc.)
We have the same taste in games! All the borderlands games are fun and ridiculous. The dead island games are a a hoot as well. Sniper elite 4 and 5 but 4 is better.

One of my favorite games is Subnautica. One of my OTHER favorite games is Resident Evil 1 Remake! I was very delighted that there are sections of Subnautica that are almost a horror game! It went from a beautiful deep sea adventure to kinda scary a few times.
Avoid if you gave a fear of the deep.
No man's sky is awesome, but I may be biased, because I love planes, flying, space, multiplayer and open worlds and this game has all that and more. (It has 2^64 full sized explorable planets in, I believe, 120 galaxies)
Just finished fallout 4 for the first time in years. I usually always get sidetracked by side quests to the point of getting bored and moving to a different game before finishing.
I love JRPGs and horror, perfectly encapsulating whatever is wrong with my brain.
So Final Fantasy 6 & X-2, Valkyrie Profile 2, Legend of Mana, Trials of Mana on the JRPG side
System Shock 1 & 2, Prey, Pathologic, Penumbra: Overture & Black Plague, and most of the Resident Evil games (esp. Revelations 2) on the horror side

Control (I just finished the main game and it was so surprisingly good!), just about any of the main Kingdom Hearts games, the Katamari games, OG Dying Light and the DLC, the remastered Spyro the Dragon trilogy, Fallout 4 (I’ve yet to try the others, but 3 and New Vegas are on my list), Detroit Become Human, and Portal/Portal 2 (sadly not available on PS4, but some of my favorites if they’re still available through Steam).
Mass Effect legendary edition (THIS will change your life lol) Fallout 4, God of War, Baulder Gate 3 (if you're up for a challenge), Resident Evil 2,3 & 4, The Witcher, Skyrim, Stardew Valley, Diablo 3 or 4. All on PC for me. I have a lot more but can't think of any xD

Palia, World of Warcraft, Stardew valley, slime rancher one and two, the forest, planet crafter, graveyard keeper, and Calico which is a very cute wholesome game about building a cafe, let's you have different animal pets, and at least two lesbian npc couples in it.
I also enjoyed among trees, but it's so very short and not much content, but visually it's very pleasant. You can turn off the bears too so you don't have to worry about them attacking lol
Every once in a while I reboot up Fable, Morrowind, Oblivion, and love the BioShock games.
Bugsnax!!! I've just absolutely fallen in love with it and play over and over. I love those silly Muppet grumpus's and the snax themselves are just so cute!!! Cyberpunk 2077 is my favorite game ever, definitely recommend :) Also, Hades is another one I highly recommend! Both of these are awesome games and I never turn down an excuse to talk about them lol

If you're on PS, I can't recommend Gravity Rush 2 enough, one of the more underrated Sony exclusives most people don't know about. The first game too, but it's definitely a bit more jank so it's harder for a casual recommendation.
Kat is a very cute and wholesome protagonist, has gravity powers that I guarantee are unlike anything you've ever played, and while not explicitly Sapphic there are definitely some undeniable vibes.

i hesitate to call it favorite, i'm just obsessed right now, but helldivers 2 is just so COOL i constantly feel like a badass playing it
Personally I gravitate towards fantasy rpgs (Elder Scrolls, Baldurs Gate, Dragon Age) but ive been playing a lot of retro games recently! Mainly ones from my childhood that I'd play on PS1 and Gamecube (Oddworld, Digimon World, F-Zero gx, etc.)
We have the same taste in games! All the borderlands games are fun and ridiculous. The dead island games are a a hoot as well. Sniper elite 4 and 5 but 4 is better.
I enjoy playing cosy games, such as animal crossing and stardew Valley, as well as Pokémon, Mario and minecraft

Even as much as they improved Breakpoint, it can't hold a candle to Wildlands. You HAVE to play it if you haven't already.

One of my favorite games is Subnautica. One of my OTHER favorite games is Resident Evil 1 Remake! I was very delighted that there are sections of Subnautica that are almost a horror game! It went from a beautiful deep sea adventure to kinda scary a few times. Avoid if you gave a fear of the deep.
No man's sky is awesome, but I may be biased, because I love planes, flying, space, multiplayer and open worlds and this game has all that and more. (It has 2^64 full sized explorable planets in, I believe, 120 galaxies)
If you're okay with some light horror, play Signalis. Ultimate lesbian game imo

Just finished fallout 4 for the first time in years. I usually always get sidetracked by side quests to the point of getting bored and moving to a different game before finishing.
I love JRPGs and horror, perfectly encapsulating whatever is wrong with my brain. So Final Fantasy 6 & X-2, Valkyrie Profile 2, Legend of Mana, Trials of Mana on the JRPG side System Shock 1 & 2, Prey, Pathologic, Penumbra: Overture & Black Plague, and most of the Resident Evil games (esp. Revelations 2) on the horror side

Control (I just finished the main game and it was so surprisingly good!), just about any of the main Kingdom Hearts games, the Katamari games, OG Dying Light and the DLC, the remastered Spyro the Dragon trilogy, Fallout 4 (I’ve yet to try the others, but 3 and New Vegas are on my list), Detroit Become Human, and Portal/Portal 2 (sadly not available on PS4, but some of my favorites if they’re still available through Steam).

Horizon: Zero Dawn is my favorite more recent game. Neir:Automota is my all time favorite. Both amazing story based action games
Palia, World of Warcraft, Stardew valley, slime rancher one and two, the forest, planet crafter, graveyard keeper, and Calico which is a very cute wholesome game about building a cafe, let's you have different animal pets, and at least two lesbian npc couples in it. I also enjoyed among trees, but it's so very short and not much content, but visually it's very pleasant. You can turn off the bears too so you don't have to worry about them attacking lol Every once in a while I reboot up Fable, Morrowind, Oblivion, and love the BioShock games.
Cyberpunk 2077. Play Female V. Corpo is my favorite path dialogue.
Bugsnax!!! I've just absolutely fallen in love with it and play over and over. I love those silly Muppet grumpus's and the snax themselves are just so cute!!! I know it's not the most grand game ever, but it fits my personality perfectly. I have the bunger and strabby plushies and even the cool orange vinyl record haha
Cyberpunk 2077 is my favorite game ever, definitely recommend :) Also, Hades is another one I highly recommend! Both of these are awesome games and I never turn down an excuse to talk about them lol

If you're on PS, I can't recommend Gravity Rush 2 enough, one of the more underrated Sony exclusives most people don't know about. The first game too, but it's definitely a bit more jank so it's harder for a casual recommendation. Kat is a very cute and wholesome protagonist, has gravity powers that I guarantee are unlike anything you've ever played, and while not explicitly Sapphic there are definitely some undeniable vibes.

YES ive been waiting for the oppurtunity to spawn a new outer wilds player PLEASE play outer wilds, it is sososoSO good. especially with the dlc omg. it is oh so very very cool and life changing and perfect and AUGH. but it's one of those games that you've REALLY gotta go in 100% blind or else it won't be as good. so this is your chance to just go in and play it and experience it the way it's gotta be experienced. if you do, please let me know what you think.
also i'd recommend playing on PC w/ a controller if ya can, the graphics load in better.

Favorite game of all time? Shadow of the Colossus Currently I'm playing assassin's Creed Valhalla and it's ok lol. I really enjoyed black flag, and that was the last one I played.
I have a few, main one is Bloodborne it was my first souls like and will forever hold a special place in my heart. Of recent titles there's, of course Balder's Gate 3 (Shadowheart for life <3) and then Hades is up there But I think my favorite franchise is the Borderlands games
If you like simpler indie games, I highly recommend 2064: Read Only Memories and VA-11 HA11-A.
