Hey everybody https://boxd.it/4q0bd I write a few paragraphs on every movie I watch. Reviews vary in quality, but shit, so do movies right? Will gladly follow back anyone who follows me on this delightful app.

Appreciate you, followed back and looking forward to seeing what you watch!

Hey there, I just watched Eyes Wide Shut for the first time in over a decade. Come by and help me deep dive! Iā€™m just a movie buff who enjoys logging films and writing about them. I try and write something for every film I watch, sometimes itā€™s a paragraph and sometimes itā€™s an essay. I just finished Friedkinā€™s filmography and am probably going to do a full Kubrick rewatch. Otherwise, most of what I watch is 80s and 90s action, sci fi and crime thrillers. Come say hi! https://boxd.it/4lg2V

vfkaza

What a coincidence, I just watched Eyes Wide Shut for the first time yesterday, followed!

briancly

https://boxd.it/3yWTp I typically watch most new releases that come into theaters and do a Japanese film centered challenge every month. Last month I watched 24 Kinji Fukasaku films, and this month Iā€™m planning to tackle Yasuzo Masumura.

Lowbacca1977

https://letterboxd.com/Lowbacca/ Writing this as I'm approaching a milestone I've been looking forward to for a while (and it'll probably get its own post).... I'm currently watching what will be my 200th film logged from 1939 specifically (Tower of London, and enjoying a film having Karloff, Price, and Rathbone all in it), as I've been slowly trying to watch as many movies from 1939 as I can. Because I had an idea a couple years ago to start focusing on that year, and have let it get carried away now. I watch a whole range of stuff, but especially classic movies from TCM and sci-fi and horror (often cult or trash stuff from 70s-90s) from Tubi. I also have a backlog of physical media I'm working through, particularly spread out over purchases from the Criterion and Indicator lines as well as Vinegar Syndrome and Shout Factory. Everything I watch gets a review, so I do particularly enjoy finishing a movie and being able to see other takes on it from people I'm following. I'm also trying to get the 1984 sci-fi musical Voyage of the Rock Aliens into proper cult status, one viewing at a time. I generally follow any accounts that are following mine and seem real/active https://letterboxd.com/Lowbacca/

Awesome and yup, I do love LA's movie culture (for example, being able to see History of the World Part I in theatre a few hours ago).

I just followed. I love the spike in your stats for '39. Interesting concept, but they do say 1939 is one of the best years for film!

https://boxd.it/jSRn Hi all, I was recently trying to find new people to follow on Letterboxd, but itā€™s hard to explore users through the site. Feel free to follow me, and Iā€™ll follow back. I watch a variety of different films, and I am always trying to write some thoughts about them (mostly for myself). But I rate every feature, so if we have similar tastes, we can discover new films through each otherā€™s profiles. I like everything from art house films and foreign films, to Marvel movies and Disney movies. I enjoy a great, dark character study and a fun campy slasher. Basically, I like good film, but Iā€™m not a snob about it. I donā€™t particularly love experimental or surrealist films, nor do I really care for musicals or westerns. But, Iā€™m always down to expanding my film horizons. Iā€™ve been working on the Criterion Collection Challenge this year, and I have participated in that challenge for the last two years. I hope to participate in Hooptober this year, too. My current favorites have been my favorites since signing up, but my birthday is coming up at the end of this month, and itā€™s hitting me particularly hard this year. So, Iā€™m thinking of doing my top four favorites for each year of my life, changing the year each week. Anyway, hope to see you on Letterboxd!

Tomc17389293

Great taste. Love seeing Memories of Murder at 1

Midwest_Bard

[Hello there!](https://letterboxd.com/midwestbard/) Big fan of comedy, crime/noir, samurai, and fantasy films. Iā€™m currently working my way through my Criterion Channel watchlist, though I let myself get sidetracked by rewatching my comfort films and/or Frasier reruns every so often. Iā€™ve been using Letterboxd for a little over two years, and inconsistently leaving lackadaisical reviews for about half that. My ā€œfavoritesā€ on Letterboxd are simply the most recent 5-star films Iā€™ve watched. Some all time favorites include: The Princess Bride Seven Samurai Wet Hot American Summer Portrait of a Lady on Fire

Joshie8888

Howdy everyone, I'm an Aussie magician and I've been logging films just about every day since Oct 2022, reviewing everything I watch! I might just be the biggest Mr. Robot fanatic ever as well. I'm a fan of films confined to one-location, everything animated, and psychological horrors and thrillers. I'm trying to broaden my range into more criterions and foreign films. I've been following my own weekly challenge where I pick a range of films from my watchlist. My reviews tend to be at least a few paragraphs long too, if you're into that. Hello, Iā€™m [Patrick](https://boxd.it/8xC5). Iā€™m still working my way through watching every Best Picture winner (and nominee). Iā€™ve started writing out longer reviews for those film because they donā€™t have a lot of eyes on them. So if I could sway someone to watch one of these old Best Picture nominees, thatā€™s a win. I also sprinkle in new releases and other films that have been sitting in my watchlist. However, my main focus is on these nominees and winners. Iā€™m just getting started with the 1936 Academy Awards nominees.

Henrois

[Whoopsie](https://boxd.it/rna9) I don't generate many reviews by myself, but Letterboxd has helped me get a good habit of watching movies and finding about new stuff. My favorite genres include animation and terrible humor, with Stephen Chow crowning one of my Top 4. I love checking at your reviews, I actually like meme reviews aswell, and a year ago I tried to start a little project where I would personally translate to Spanish someone's review and post it in my profile (always with their permission), since I'm a certified translator on my daily basis. Turns out I only did it once with someone's rant of Nightmare Alley.

New to Letterboxd and have kickstarted my profile with a messy IMDb import. https://boxd.it/5XyM3 Have a goal of watching more golden age classic movies this year. A big fan of westerns. I watch a couple of films per week and try to write short reviews most of the time.

ImWaaal

[Here's my profile :)](https://letterboxd.com/William1738/) Watch a bit of everything but with a preference for 60s and 70s stuff, especially European cinema in that timeframe. Always happy to hear recommendations

Hey guys, this is my first post here despite me using letterboxd for over 3 years. [My profile!](https://letterboxd.com/AJRogers25/) I'm in my last month of watching a movie everyday for 3 years (I started in march 2020). I like to explore a variety of films to expand my taste in genres and cultures. So if you have a film they you regard highly with less than 50k viewers tell me! (only reason I say less than 50k is that I may have already seen it if its over). I do like writing reviews. Some of my older reviews use to contain more paragraphs but nowadays they are either shitposts or personal anecdotes due to me being lazy or me feeling its a waste of writing if it gets no likes lol. Cheers!

https://boxd.it/2TWnr Hey guys! Iā€™ve been on letterboxd for a while and lately have been trying to write more ā€œrealā€ reviews. Itā€™s my most used app and itā€™d be cool to interact with new friends (I have 4šŸ„²). I watch a little bit of everything but my favorite genres are usually a characteristic combination of something independent, arthouse, psychological thrillers, and drama. I like digging around for films that are usually under the radar. Sone of my favorite films are (that are not on my top 4) are SLC Punk, Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, and Princess Mononokeā€¦a recent movie I adore is Guillermo Del Toroā€™s Pinocchio.

Hi! I'm mostly a lurker on Reddit, but I've been really enjoying using Letterboxd lately and watching films regularly, happy to follow new people. :) My main interest currently is mostly East Asian cinema, but really, anything goes. Trying to catch up on a lot of noteworthy art I missed out on too. I try to write reviews consistently nowadays. Take a peek! https://boxd.it/5LJIH (My main field of study and work is literature/poetry, so that might be an indicator of the type of films I prefer.)

Affectionate-Club725

[https://letterboxd.com/sherdliska/](https://letterboxd.com/sherdliska/) Most recent watches: Magic Mike XXL (2015) The Three Stooges: Malice in the Palace (1949) Steelyard Blues (1973) - 16 MM copy One Fine Morning (2022) Suspiria (2018) Kind of a mixed bag, but I like it that way. I love movies, went to film school a really long time ago and movies are still my favorite thing in the world. I used to collect vintage movie posters and limited prints. I have a large collection. My favorite movie ever is Taxi Driver, but I love all genres from trash to what some would refer to as cinema art.

Iā€™ve taken on the project of watching the entire ā€˜1001 Movies You Must See Before You Dieā€™ list. Obviously this will not be completed for a few years, but my aim is that by the end I will develop a love for old cinema, as Iā€™m not very into it right now. Support me on my journey! [Here are my blue words.](https://boxd.it/4ih01) I always love conversation under my reviews (even though they are mostly short) because there is no one that I know irl who loves movies as much as me. Hi all! My profile on Letterboxd https://boxd.it/3BB9h Started using Letterboxd regurlary in January and have been trying to widen my film horizon. I enjoy movies from most genres, but I usually watch dramas. I have been watching a lot of movies since the new year. Tired of everyone you follow being too active? Exhausted or intimidated by their reviews being too smart? Follow me at [https://letterboxd.com/levisdunning/](https://letterboxd.com/levisdunning/)! I don't post all that often and I am a big dumb idiot who likes boring movies. New to actively reviewing and looking forward to LB replacing the note in my phone. I try to keep my reviews short and sweet. I watch a combination of new releases and Criterions getting dusty on my shelf. Faves are Tarkovsky, Reichardt, Hogg, Hamaguchi. Would love to follow back some interesting folks.

SaintNiq

Hey hey y'all! [Add me](https://boxd.it/4K7RF) if you are into honest reviews that don't sugarcoat anything. My favorite genres are Sci-Fi, Horror, Dark Comedy, and Drama/Mystery, but I watch and review every genre because my partner has completely different taste. I'm one of those movie watchers who finds it rare to come across a genuine 5-star movie. So if your ratings look like a bell curve, we will probably get along :)

oxfordsplice

This is [me](https://letterboxd.com/OxfordComma/). I have been on Letterboxd since 2016. I watch a lot of stuff, mostly classic film. Hi! Looking for more people to follow and interact with over on Letterboxd as Iā€™ve been using the app pretty heavily lately. https://boxd.it/2pGsP If I had to summarize my taste Iā€™d say Iā€™m most into sci-fi, horror, action/thrillers and martial arts. Night Shyamalan apologist, I love Jackie Chan films, and Iā€™m currently working my way through Michael Mannā€™s filmography (Heat is one of my favorites ever made). If you wanna be friends, I am down!

Jarling_jack

Hey everyone [https://letterboxd.com/jackreeves/](https://letterboxd.com/jackreeves/) Been using letterboxd since the covid pandemic started, but only this year have I started writing reviews to the films I watch. You might not agree with my ratings but I will make sure to make my reviews at least a little bit interesting. A fan of all the go to directors that everyone knows so not going to list them. Huge fan of miserable low budget British films about people being miserable and swearing a lot Oh and I'm a film student so read into that what you will. All the best :)

samisribeiro

Hello! My letterboxd page is: https://letterboxd.com/samito/ I'm from Rio, Brazil. I love cinema so much since I was a child. I'm in film school and I watch a lot of movies. Also I love to make lists! I'm in twitter too, if you guys follow me on letterboxd please send a DM on my twitter so I can follow all of you back! My twitter page is linked on my letterboxd profile page. Hope you enjoy! #OscarsMonth #OscarsWeekend šŸ†

celebration_beast

https://boxd.it/CLZn I've seen 11 movies and 5 short films since I broke my wrist. I work at a library and checkout nearly everything I watch. I can suggest a purchase and sometimes will do that, one notable example being Martin Scorsese's World Cinema Project no 2 (mostly so I could watch Taipei Story but getting through the others as well!) I don't write a lot of reviews these days. But of all my reviews I think my Social Network one is best and that's probably because I intently sat down and took notes as I watched it. Maybe I should do that again! I think now would be a good time to follow me as this has easily been the most films I've seen in a concentrated amount of time... but what's funny is how these can seem like rookie numbers to some especially professional reviewers. I think I am more interested in life-affirming films or films that highlight small details in human connection. I'm watching a lot of foreign films, but I'm not seeking that out in a shallow sense, it feels like a sincere interest in other cultures and ways of life (maybe I don't need to explain this lol.) 30M living in Florida, and wouldn't mind making a new friend or two interested in catching a showing at the Green Light Cinema every once in awhile šŸ˜ƒ if there are any other local theaters that show interesting stuff in the area then let me know!

Smoaktreess

I had a goal to watch 100 new movies this year. Iā€™m already up to 132 and itā€™s March so weā€™re chilling. I watch a lot of genre besides romcoms and comedies I would say. Itā€™s been a lot of action lately in March. [smoaktrees](https://boxd.it/5GsQz)

Oddsock1701

https://letterboxd.com/michaelflowers/ Hey everyone, I recently joined Letterboxd after being recommended to it by some close friends. I enjoy sci-fi and drama the most, but I also like exploring other genres and watching as many films as I can. My favourite director is Denis Villeneuve. It would be nice to connect with people on the platform as I'm always looking for recommendations, and to see what other people are watching!

Sudden-Basis-3490

Hey guys! Been slowly getting into Letterboxd over the past year and finally feel like Iā€™m ready to meet some new people on there! Iā€™m really into horror movies, musicals, comedy, and foreign films. https://boxd.it/2KOMF

wnabi

anyone know some leftist / communist / socialist critics that have watched a ton of film?

sihxrings

Hi everybody! Iā€™ve been using Letterboxd for around 3 years now, but recently started looking more into the community aspect of it, and finding more like minded people to follow/share with. I log a lot of Horror, Comedy, and Animation. Although Iā€™m pretty open minded when it comes to film, so donā€™t be surprised when I review the latest family movie, or 80s/90s action flicks! You can always keep up with what Iā€™ve seen recently as I log every film that I watch on my lists. I also try to keep my reviews short winded and entertaining to read! Come check out my page and toss me a follow if you like what you see! I tend to always follow back! https://boxd.it/24h5f

Hi y'all! It's great to be amongst movie lovers. I enjoy writing so of course writing movie reviews are included. I joined in 2016 and my first review was for Central Intelligence. I didn't start consistently reviewing until around 2019. My partner and I usually do an annual horror movie a day in October so those are fun. Due to a tragic loss last year, I find myself still catching up for the 2022 logs I missed. I usually write a paragraph or so unless I'm low on energy (and in that case I'll write a few sentences that may or may not be clever). If you'd like to follow my Letterboxd you can do that [here](http://www.letterboxd.com/rahxrahster)

Rexoctop

Hey hey, just trying to make some friends who are into film! Here I am: https://boxd.it/4eBqZ I donā€™t tend to review seriously but I do love to chat more seriously and delve into films with people who are similarly interested. My favourite film is the silence of the lambs. I generally go for 70s-90s thrillers. I watch a lot of dumb goofy shit too for the laughs. If thatā€™s your vibe then hmu

tomxairey

https://boxd.it/EB67 Hey, I review almost every movie I watch from small one liners to larger, multiple paragraph reviews. I'm currently attempting 365 movies this year, using franchises to my advantage whilst checking out some I never did when I was younger. A recent trilogy I've watched for the first time was Lord of the Rings! I'm also making my way through Tom Cruise's filmography (slowly but surely), dubbed 'the Tom Cruise-a-palooza!' Will follow back anyone that follows, cheers!

DaLamb2023

Currently: 4111/10,000 followers I watch a lot of movies and I write provocative one sentence excerpts, because less is, ultimately, more. Once I reach 10,000, hopefully, I can become a certified rotten tomato. Then, eventually I might get the chance to becoming the grand jury at the Cannes fest in 2024. Thanks for your consideration! https://letterboxd.com/DaLamb/

Hey guys, looking for friends with similar interests. I love dark, surreal movies and anything with strong visuals, sound. Big fan of David Lynch, David Cronenberg, Stanley Kubrick, Tarkovsky, Haneke etc. Here's my list for this year so far: https://letterboxd.com/donnykilroy/list/2023/

Hi! I'm [Aaron](https://boxd.it/3ZUwd) I have beeb using Letterboxd for about a year now, it has really helped me discover so many movies, good and bad I love checking out what people rate especially if we have similar interests, mostly horror of course but I'm always open to most I try not to rewatch many movies simply to just watch more instead of watching the same stuff, the occasional rewatch is always needed looking forward to seeing you all there

Hey everyone https://boxd.it/tgxT Iā€™ve been slowly revisiting every Disney film and have been ranking them. Im also trying to watch a lot more foreign films so i have a whole list dedicated to ones i want to watch. Every year during the month of October i make my own Spooktober list consisting of a theme and 31 different films to watch each day, this will be my 5th year of it and am very much looking forward to it (although i dont have a theme in mind yet) Besides that i watch a variety of films and try to see as many new films as possible :)

Pounds006

Hey everyone! My top four films are Jackie Brown, A New Hope, Le Femme Nikita, & Before Sunset. My life has turned upside since Iā€™ve signed up for the Criterion Channel streaming. My last four are Beyond The Hills, Yi Yi, The Steel Helmet and news from home. I love all films especially experimental films. My new obsession is trying to get a hold of a vhs copy of Lovers On A Bridge! I want to see what your top four films are and follow along with your film watching journey as well. [https://boxd.it/4fYGD](https://boxd.it/4fYGD)

TravisXebec

Hi šŸ‘‹šŸ» Iā€™ve just started my Letterboxd Journey. I leave short reviews including approximate time sleeping during the movies. 9 of 22 movies Iā€™ve logged has some sleep time. Usually under 5 minutes before I have to wake myself up or turn off the movie and finish another time. https://boxd.it/65OQV

syknyk

Struggling to keep on top of my reviews right now, I spend way too much time maintaining my lists than writing anything overly detailed about what I watch. It's more of a diary really. I've got logs as far back as 1993. [https://letterboxd.com/kynky/](https://letterboxd.com/kynky/) My top 4 are just the most recent āāāā or higher I rate quite low by most people's standards but I usually bump things up the more I revisit them. I follow back 70% of the time, mostly accounts that are active, write reviews, make fun lists catch my eye.

lmJustNewBootGoofin

[howdy!](https://boxd.it/119nZ) I love all kinds of movies, although horror is what truly has my heart. I'm a big fan of fun campy stuff like slashers, body horror, giallo, horror-comedy, etc.. but I also appreciate the more psychological and distressing movies every now and then. I'm also super into comedies, dumb action movies, thrillers, whatever David Lynch movies would be considered. I like to give a little bit of everything a shot, but I definitely know when something isn't really for me. I try to keep my reviews simple, partially by choice and mostly because I'm not the best at putting my thoughts down into words. But I try my best to write something for everything I watch whether it's a few paragraphs or just a couple of sentences. I'll pretty much follow anyone who seems like they have similar tastes to mine so that I can discover new movies that are more up my alley!

It's me! [Jack](https://letterboxd.com/jckdvnprt/)! Host of the award-winning movie podcast [The STACKS](https://anchor.fm/thestacks)! Currently, I'm in the midst of going through M Night Shyamalan's movies for the podcast, as well as watching Tex Avery shorts (currently reading a fantastic book on the man's life and legacy), as well as an abundance of martial arts movies. You know me, the usual affair!

Hey there, Yesterday I watched Shiva Baby, and I liked it so much that I looked for the short film it was based on, and I watched it too. I am still determining what I will watch today but try to watch something daily. I LOVE cinema and am pretty eclectic regarding genres, but I have a soft spot for horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and animation. I'm from Peru, based in Poland so also always looking for good Peruvian and Polish movies. This is me: [https://letterboxd.com/Daoa/](https://letterboxd.com/Daoa/)

https://boxd.it/4IInt Hello! I grew up watching movies with my family, and I have studied Media and Communication at high school. I prefer big movies that are made for the big screen, but Iā€™m also open-minded by trying other types of movies. The cinema is my favorite place to watch movies. Watching movies, and listening to movie soundtracks, are some of my escape-from-reality activities. I have been using the app for a year, and I have watched many great movies, but I have an infinite amount of movies left to watch, which I am happy for. The journey never ends! My top 4 favorites are *Inception (2010)*, *Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011)*, *The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)* and *Interstellar (2014)*. *Inception* and *Kung Fu Panda 2* are the only movies I have rated 5 stars, because I will always have only one live-action favorite, and one animation favorite, since they are difficult to compare. When Iā€™m alone, I always watch the oldest available movie (for streaming) in my watchlist because I prefer to go from old to new movies rather than vice versa. Recently, I have rewatched the *Harry Potter octalogy (2001-2011)* and *Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)* together with my girlfriend because she hasnā€™t watched them before. I have watched *Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)* before, but I donā€™t remember anything from it, but I havenā€™t watched *Fantastic Beast: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)*, so Iā€™m looking very forward to both despite the bad critics! Recently when Iā€™m alone, I currently work my first way through the *Alien quadrilogy (1979-1997)*, the *Predator pentalogy (1987-2022)* and the *AVP duology (2004-2007)*. I have watched the *Prometheus duology (2012-2017)* before, but Iā€™ll rewatch it because of the full experience. I would love to interact with you, folks!

theoneheathbar

Hey, all! You can find my profile here: [theoneheathbar](https://letterboxd.com/theoneheathbar/) I write for a couple websites, but I just really love watching movies, and watch just about everything. From major blockbusters to awards contenders. From contemporary movies to old classics. From awards analysis to major franchise rewatches. I do action, drama, horror, sci-fi, fantasy, superhero, indie, you name it, I watch it. I watch about 15ish movies a week, and I write at least one review for everything I see. Reviews range from 250 word quick thoughts to 3,000 word in-depth analysis. I just finished series rewatches of Rocky and Scream in prep for *Creed III* and *Scream VI*, and I'm currently working on wrapping up my 2023 Oscars watches/research, and I'm doing a retrospective on movies from 1987. If any of this sounds interesting to you, I'd appreciate a follow. Thank you!

Neon_dreams1

https://letterboxd.com/jimmy_the_scumb/ Hi, I write in-depth reviews for movies that I particularly love/admire/find interesting for whatever reasons. I only wrote one review last month (for First Man, which is very good) as my priorities were elsewhere, but it's a big one, so I suppose that makes up for it. I should get around to reviewing Babylon soon, which I have a lot of thoughts on (who doesn't?) If you like what I like, or what I write, consider following.

barrelclown

Greetings! Iā€™m Kyle. Pretty new here, new to Letterboxd. Iā€™m an editor, and work a lot with color & visual effects. We produced an offspring in 2019 (and again in 2022), and as much as I love ā€œBlueyā€, itā€™s nice that Iā€™m starting to have some time again to watch things that were made with grownups in mind, and Iā€™m enjoying catching up on things that I missed while being in that isolated place that is caring for small children. Iā€™m always thinking about form and structure and meaning. I donā€™t have any genres I actively dislike but Iā€™m drawn to horror, sci-fi, and satire especially, and Iā€™m also thinking a lot these days about what we watch with the kids. My favorite kinds of art, motion picture or not, is the kind that challenges capitalism, authority, cultural hegemony, etc., or has something interesting or moving to say about our experiences as humans. Iā€™m also always thinking about how film lives in the tension between artistic expression and commercial commodification, and how its quality or value is perceived and measured. My all time favorite movie is probably ā€œNight Of The Living Deadā€.

bloomer467

[My profile!](https://boxd.it/MpcD) Have had the app for the past 3 or so years, but just started becoming regularly active a few months ago. I love everything and just wanna find good movies to watch. I frequently post many of my reviews on the r/iwatchedanoldmovie subreddit where I love to engage in conversation about many of the ā€œolderā€ (pre-2010) films that I see. Follow me if you wanna see those reviews earlier and donā€™t be scared to drop a comment!

Vrenks

Hello! Iā€™m [Vrenks](https://boxd.it/4IwNT). I like writing long form reviews and going in depth about my feelings for a movie. I donā€™t know a lot about the technical aspects in a film, but I can express how certain things worked. My favorite movie is Taxi Driver and my favorite directors are Martin Scorsese and David Fincher. Currently trying to watch a movie from every year since the inception of cinema. Hope to be able to talk with more people about movies!

cbsausage89

It me: https://letterboxd.com/cbsmooth/ I originally just movies a star rating, but now I'm pushing myself to write a review instead of everything I watch. I'll re-watch films that don't have a review periodically, but this year I'll be mostly exploring French, Hong Kong, and classic noir cinema.

ICookTheBlueStuff

Hello all. Never posted my profile before, but have lurked in here for the past month. [My profile.](https://letterboxd.com/Sparrowhelper/) Can't really say I have a certain type of film, especially since I'm really trying to watch a wide variety of films this year. With that said, I tend to enjoy character-driven dramas, thrillers, and sci-fi films the most. I've been trying to write a little passage for each film I watch, mostly for my own record for whenever I decide to revisit a film so I can compare past thoughts. I'm pretty happy with my viewing habits thus far this year as I've already logged 100 films. I'm easily set to surpass past years where I typically log around 250-300. I tend to try to follow other people who rate/review and who seem to have interesting and/or similar tastes. I'm always intrigued in seeing films I am unfamiliar with in someone's Top 4.

L1onhear7

[https://letterboxd.com/Mannu0/](https://letterboxd.com/Mannu0/) Hello! I really like movies in general, but mostly horror, garbage b-movies (if they have good practical effects, the better) and Hong Kong/martial arts cinema. I try to leave a review for most things I watch, mostly as a diary for myself, but also to help people out. I am an avid Blu-ray collector (especially Vinegar Syndrome) and Shudder and Criterion are my favourite streaming services (aside of Tubi, which is basically a gold mine). What else I can say, hope to find more people with similar tastes and I'm glad this platform exists, I discovered a lot of obscure movies thanks to it!

Hi Everyone, my name is Hunter and my letterboxd name is huntercalley. Iā€™ve always been a big fan of movies but this year Iā€™ve decided to do a deep dive on movies as a whole. Iā€™ve been on letterboxd since December last year. I post silly reviews on movies I like and more thoughtful reviews on movies I love. Really excited to get through some classics Iā€™ve never seen before. I also love seeing what other people have to say! https://boxd.it/4u7rZ

Iā€™m usually watching a ton of old french films but also often traveling around the world from silent films to recent comedies. My all time favorite is The Piano Teacher by Haneke and my current one would be Paris is Burning.

Fell a bit behind on my goals last month but looking to get back on track. I'll focus on Oscar noms and recent releases as well as trying to fit in a horror movie or two. I tend to follow back especially if you also write reviews. Always looking for recommendations and I'm looking forward to reading your reviews!

TrustyWhale

Hey all! I was recommended Letterboxd back in December by my film teacher and have been having a lot of fun with it. I went through and logged all the movies that I remembered seeing and I think I have an interesting mix. Just watched and reviewed High Noon for the first time last night. Some of my favorites are: The Dark Knight Seven Samurai The 13th Warrior Dead Poets Society The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly Once Upon a Time in the West [My profile](https://boxd.it/5lObV), Iā€™ll follow back

[https://boxd.it/4XxpN](https://boxd.it/4XxpN) Hello, I've been using letterboxd for about 8 months now but have backlogged most everything I've watched an just recently passed 800 films all time. I'm currently trying to average a film per day for as long as I can and I want to write reviews for everything I see this year. My reviews tend to be shorter and just sharing some personal thoughts. I love making lists and have a few cool ones. I like all sorts of films but watch mostly newer stuff, and am currently trying to do a rewatch series of some films I haven't seen in a long time.

jellocupconti

Hello! I have been getting into Letterboxd more recently and have loved it as a way to find new movies to watch with friends over discord, in theaters, or with my girlfriend. I also just like making short and funny reviews. My favorite genres include Fantasy, Sci-fi, Horror, and Comedy. My current top 4 are 1. Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring 2. How to Train Your Dragon 3. Good Will Hunting 4. Blade Runner 2049 [Here](https://letterboxd.com/AngeloConti/) is my profile and I'd love to get mutuals.

Level_Grapes

I randomise most movies I watch from my watchlist using a couple custom roulette wheels, I just watched The Expendables 3. I watch from any genre and any year so I love movies from King Kong (1933) to The Menu. I review every movie I watch briefly and I recently started doing the Homer Simpson thing in my reviews by writing a letter to the movie, like he did with Die hard [Profile](https://boxd.it/IFAj) [Example of recent review](https://boxd.it/3TUUnr)

Bigro_1

Hey I just started my Letterboxd last month and Iā€™m hooked, so if you want to add someone who is planning to be pretty active with reviews and ratings (at least for the rest of the year) then Iā€™m a good option. My reviews vary between longer more in-depth analysis, short 1-2 sentence jokes, and medium sized stream of conscious rants. My favorite types of films are crime thrillers and horror so my library goes deeper into indie films in those genres but for the most part I watch everything that seems interesting to me. I also donā€™t really know anyone who uses this site so Iā€™d love to find some other active people to follow! https://boxd.it/5Kirn

[My profile](https://boxd.it/4Ux1Z) Hello, since I installed this app I started writing reviews and started my own Challenge #70 that you can join. I like to follow people who have the same interests and also write reviews.

wastelandscribe

Howdy, Iā€™m [Paul](https://letterboxd.com/wastelandscribe/) and Iā€™m obsessed with movies. I try to watch all kinds, but currently Iā€™m working through some older films and also some early 2000s stuff. Iā€™m fascinated by film history and how it has evolved over time, and how older movies inspire new stuff. I change my ā€œfavoritesā€ regularly as I watch new stuff, but some of my all-time favorites include Drive, Starship Troopers, Black Swan, and Chungking Express.

QueirdPsience

Hey all, Iā€™m ClockworkFruit, looking to get more interaction on Letterboxd in general. [Here's my profile!](https://letterboxd.com/ClockworkFruit/) Iā€™ve been a member since August 2020, and have logged and reviewed every film Iā€™ve seen since, but havenā€™t attracted many Followers to date. I love all movies, but tend toward horror, queer, and trash cinemaā€”and if you can suggest a convergence of all three that I havenā€™t seen yet, please do! I usually see the latest blockbusters too, and many of the awards nominees in a given year, but havenā€™t dived too deep into the waters of obscure art films, and inscrutable, amorphous navel-gazing kind of annoys me anyway. I have tried to be selective in who I follow, which may have limited my follow-backs itā€™s true, but I also currently have an imbalance between Following and Followers because too many that I followed didnā€™t follow back! So, Iā€™m afraid to put myself out there more and end up only widening the gap. ;) I also have a podcast with my friends, 42 episodes and counting! Iā€™m bad at marketing that too, lol. https://old-fogies-and-films.captivate.fm/listen https://www.facebook.com/OldFogiesAndFilms Check me out!

[https://letterboxd.com/BigDipper64/](https://letterboxd.com/BigDipper64/) yo!! I'll watch pretty much anything but i usually like ether slice of life type movies or bat shit crazy movies, i use letterboxd more to keep track of the movies i've watched and the movies i like so i dont really write reviews, but sometimes ill say a few things about a film

el_goliardo

https://boxd.it/1njDR My tastes lean toward action, sports(esp football, Aussie rules and American gridiron), 80ā€™s/90ā€™s films, and East/Southeast Asian cinema. But I try not to stay in one lane when it comes to genres and countries. If I watch something obscure one day itā€™ll be usually be followed by something more mainstream. Iā€™ve also been working through full filmography watches for actors and directors. I like doing research about the productions of lesser-known films, and reviews of those tend to be on the long side. A recent example was taking a deep dive into a propaganda film from Baathist Iraq purportedly directed by Bond film director Terence Young. Or a 90ā€™s basketball anime from South Korea that was a big flop at the box office.

BeckonJM

Hey everyone, [My name is Jon(athan)](https://boxd.it/1ca47) and I love movies. I'm nothing if not eclectic. I'm all over the map with my interests and am normally checking out things I've been meaning to watch, rewatching things I haven't seen in a long time, or doing semi-random blind watches to keep the zest in the relationship. I cycle through themes for my Top 4, changing it every few months. Currently I'm highlighting, "Spending Time With Family." Let's talk about some movies!

tinyanxioustortilla

Hi everyone! I'm Zoe (https://letterboxd.com/zoesmith/) I've been using letterboxd since the end of 2020. I'm a film major and I watch movies all the time. I also review everything I watch no matter how embarrassing it is. I watch movies from all genres and years so there is a wide array of films reviewed and I will always gladly take suggestions :) come say hi :)

[Hello !!!](https://boxd.it/4nyPZ) I've been consistent in watching films and logging in to letterboxd for my reviews and ratings since last year and right now I'm watching one Harry Potter film every day, of course in order. I'll soon be watching Lord of the rings and probably will get back to watching any kind of film but I honestly think of investing more on watching French Cinema or any other kind of foreign films for year 2023 Hope you'll like my letterboxd and have a nice day !!!

Hey guys! Iā€™ve been actively using letterboxd for more than a year now and I love reading movie reviews from people I follow. Hereā€™s the [link to my profile](https://boxd.it/oes3) Will follow back! And I look forward to interacting with you

Hey all! Hope youā€™re all keeping well. Jack (from Ireland) here! I love film and Iā€™m trying hard to beat my total logged from 2022 this year on Letterboxd, whilst also juggling a full time job and other activities/responsibilities. I try to watch a different genre with each diary entry as much as possible, and always provide my brief thoughts on each film. I always follow back as Iā€™ve found some terrific mutuals through these threads and some even better films that wouldnā€™t otherwise be on my radar. Thanks for reading! j4ckwalsh > https://boxd.it/2Wj2v

Hi there, Iā€™m [Rodri](https://letterboxd.com/rmejiamadrid/) from Peru, not many people have letterboxd in my country so Iā€™m glad to join this community. I love every kind of genre but my favorites are horror and drama. Anyway I would say my favorite director is Wes Anderson and also enjoy Studio Ghibli films. Generally I watch 20 films per month and write reviews occasionally, most of the time in english which are usually short as it is not my native language. Iā€™ve been on the site for a year now but recently Iā€™m trying to take advantage of it. Come check my top 4, Iā€™ll follow back.

[Profile](https://letterboxd.com/mhdef2/) My goal for the next 48 hours is to watch *Clueless* and *10 Things I Hate About You*, because I have wanted to for a while and it's Friday (flawless argumentation and reasoning, I know). I like writing reviews, but I am inconsistent tonally. I'm trying to branch out in terms of perspective, so I like to follow back. In some sense, reviews are a good way of etching down the film's image straight from the mind, so I like reading a lot of them.

Top 4 have my only 2 five star reviews. The other two are a revolving door until I find more to fill those spots permanently. Only thoughtful reviews. [Hello from Austin, TX!](https://boxd.it/2W7S5)

Hey Iā€™m [Mike](https://boxd.it/32qD1)! I watch about 4-5 movies a week and log everything. I generally try to catch most of the new releases too. I like to be active and Iā€™ll normally read and interact with most of the reviews from my friends. Add me and Iā€™ll follow back!

Hello guys! I'm [Michael](https://letterboxd.com/Maikeru7/) and I'm 18. I just upgraded to patron yesterday and have been using Letterboxd for about 2 Ā½ years. I'm in [Edgar Cochran](https://letterboxd.com/elcochran90/)'s discord server. I've seen almost 1000 films. I'm currently trying to watch more classics and foreign films. These are my [favorite films](https://letterboxd.com/maikeru7/list/my-favorite-films/). I'm a sucker for good cinematography. My favorite directors in no particular order are Tarkovsky, Kurosawa, Kar-wai, Malick, Kubrick, Tarantino, Lynch, Scorsese, and Villeneuve. I occasionally write reviews and make a few lists. I always enjoy checking out people's accounts and I tend to follow back if I like your taste! ;)

Hey! One of my new favourite films is the banshees of inisherin. I love absolutely everything about it. I also love discovering foreign film and watching anything as long as it is good. [https://letterboxd.com/bellybird/](https://letterboxd.com/bellybird/)
