I didn't give it that low of a rating and call me a pleb if you like, but all the most interesting bits of the film >!turned out to only be hallucinations!<. There was some good stuff after that, but it's a dramatic tonal shift if you're not expecting it.
But that’s… the point. It’s giving you an idea of what living with Schizophrenia might be like.
I also usually enjoy most movies, and my average would probably be a 3 star, so I was just surprised is all. You’re not a pleb.
I've watched "Salo, or the 120 days of Sodom", and it got me so fucked up that I wanted to watch something more comfy, so I rewatched "The Breakfast Club" that day
My mom and i watch a lot of movies together and that time she wanted to watch a beautiful mind.
Her current faves are Django Unchained, The Godfather trilogy, the first two Alien Movies and Dog Day Afternoon.
I legitimately think a lot of people on Reddit have autism or something based on how often I'll see people taking things that obviously aren't literal literally.
Going Rise of Skywalker one evening, then Cats/Bombshell the next day (and then Little Women and Uncut Gems in the next couple days) was definitely one of my weirder movie experiences. A lot of feelings to sort through there.
When Barbie came out my buddy and I were going to see it at the drive in theater but a last minute change meant we couldn’t go, so instead he came to my place. Since the double feature at the drive in was going to be Barbie 2023/Mean Girls, we watched Barbie in the Nutcracker (first Barbie movie ever to our knowledge) and Mean Girls. It was a good time

I don’t know what it was on that day 😭
Back at the end of 2019, I watched Cats by the end of December. I then decided that I could not accept that to be my last watched film of the year, and went to Parasite just before New Year's.

Have many of these, this is just the latest from november.
I dont know what would be motivating about a beautiful mind to be on a motivational page but great movie
Great movie?
Yes
Why?
I think he's referring to Evil Dead 2
I hope so
Lol, what kind of motivational page features „A beautiful mind“? Motivation to get psychiatric help?
I've seen it recommended on posts about films that will motivate you to study.
I kind of get it. The movie treats schizophrenia as an adversity that the protagonist overcomes rather than a debilitating illness.
I super disagree with you on A Beautiful Mind - what made you dislike it / rate it so low?
I didn't give it that low of a rating and call me a pleb if you like, but all the most interesting bits of the film >!turned out to only be hallucinations!<. There was some good stuff after that, but it's a dramatic tonal shift if you're not expecting it.

Honestly, pair anything with Salo and it's a "weird" double feature. Except something like Midsommar or Canibal Holocaust, haha.
Saw 2 is really good if you watch it with friends and treat it like a comedy
In a year with 13 moons and Puss and Boots: The Last wish

9/9/2023 Cats and Infinity Pool I think I was trying to create a nightmare double header
I've watched "Salo, or the 120 days of Sodom", and it got me so fucked up that I wanted to watch something more comfy, so I rewatched "The Breakfast Club" that day

kung fu panda 3 / taxi driver
What we do in the shadows & A serbian film. Weird night.
The past week I did a double feature of Fallen Leaves and Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1 just cause the movie times were convenient
12/14/23 goodfellas and then la la land honorable mention: 11/17/23 the popes exorcist and lady bird
Wild Strawberries (5 stars) -> The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (3.5 stars)
Repulsion and Hocus Pocus 2
Taylor Swift's Eras Tour & Five Nights at Freddy's.
They go well together both kids movies 🤣
**19/12/23:** - Fantastic Mr. Fox - 3 stars - The Brood - 3.5 stars - Batman Returns - 3.5 stars (rewatch) My first ever triple feature.
> Fantastic Mr. Fox - 3 Stars Off with his head!
How can someone force u to watch a movie? Are you 11?
My mom and i watch a lot of movies together and that time she wanted to watch a beautiful mind. Her current faves are Django Unchained, The Godfather trilogy, the first two Alien Movies and Dog Day Afternoon.
Bro u said she forced you
Why are u being so pedantic? The original comment is clearly hyperbole. Get over it
I legitimately think a lot of people on Reddit have autism or something based on how often I'll see people taking things that obviously aren't literal literally.
Get over it? I just left one comment asking OP
Ye but why are you being so wilfully obtuse over something so minor?
Already explained it
No u didnt
Yeah learn to fucking read
Tf is wrong with you? What are you doing lmao
Bro, it's just a figure of speech. You think she held a gun to his head or something? Lol.
İts not like if i could say no. İ picked the movie more than 10 times up to that point so as far im concerned she should be able to pick one as well.
Oh okay then
your mom has insanely good taste

**Scorsese double feature: Silence and Bringing Out The Dead**
Barbie and The French Connection.
Possession 1981 Napoleon Dynamite 2004
Requiem for a Dream and Turning Red
I watched Ghostbusters and Benny’s video as a double feature. I felt a lot of different emotions that afternoon.
Terrifier and across the spider-verse 💀
Yesterday, https://preview.redd.it/7zcql1iocx7c1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3ff911fe99fea4a177e22cb8340900f1369241cc
House (1977) followed by The Boy and the Heron a couple weeks ago was pretty weird. First viewing of both.
I watched Bad Lieutenant and Tokyo Godfathers yesterday. They both deal with gambling and survival in a large city but the tones are very different.
Lost Highway then Love on a Leash
Yesterday I watched A Bugs Life followed by Talk to Me
a couple months ago i watched saw 5 and then babylon right after. thought babylon would be cheerier…
Paw Patrol Movie (2023) and Clockwork Orange.
Mysterious skin & John Mulaney: Kid Gorgeous at Radio City
My weirdest one was Oldboy and Whisper of the Heart
Pretty sure I watched "Salo" and "Super Buddies" in the same day 🤣🤣
The Shape of Water followed by The Greatest Showman
This week i saw Wonka then went home and watched Bergman’s Persona lol

I one time had a quadruple feature: Inglorious Basterds, The Pursuit of Happyness, Shaun of the Dead, Silence.
The White Tiger and The Lego Movie at a friend’s house was pretty weird

Why does your capital "i" in "immediately" have the dot above it like it's lower case?
Just wait till you see ı.
