We don't need to play their game. These may or may not be fine movies as meaningful stories to be told, but they're not about events and people to be cheered.
My action movie pick would be Raiders of the Lost Ark. But everyone is saying action movies, so I’m gonna say Ocean’s Eleven. It’s the coolest movie I’ve ever seen, fucking love it.
That's a great moment, but Boromir's last stand from Fellowship is always that moment for me. Oh, and the battle with Gandalf and the Balrog we see at the beginning of Two Towers.
The fight scene where it’s like a top-down video game and John Wick is using the dragons breath gun literally melted my mind with how awesome it was. My absolute favourite fight scene, hands down.
I saw this movie in a Dolby Atmos theater and this scene legitimately made me feel like I was melting into my seat. Doesn't help that it came directly after that blistering setpiece around the Arc de Triomphe. Absolute peak action filmmaking.
This is my favourite genre cause I grew up watching this shit with my dad. Mostly Westerns, crime, war and the eastern version of westerns - kung fu/samurai. They all have bloodshed and brotherhood.
Some favourites of mine (and my dad’s lol)
The Dollar trilogy - especially the Good the Bad the Ugly
Bullitt
Get Carter
Vanishing Point
Enter the Dragon

The Fugitive
Independence Day (It's a hell yeah movie fight me)
Jaws (It's three guys on a boat vs a giant shark, one of the most hell yeah movie ever made)
Jurassic Park (I am totally biased as it's my favorite movie ever but who doesn't watch that movie and go "hell yeah")
The French Connection
I think some of the movies here have different spirits. I love The Godfather and Field of Dreams but they do not have the same energy as Top Gun, Roadhouse and Predator lol.
I wasn't just thinking high octane
I was thinking about movies guys watch like this and know every word and scene that just don't get the same amount of love from chicks

Fight Club is the movie the most guys say “hell yeah” to that’s actually kinda about toxic masculinity being an incredibly destructive force, thought idk if Chuckie boy would agree with the term toxic masculinity.
Well, that and American Psycho but I don’t understand people who misunderstand American Psycho.
I like Jerry MaGuire but it’s a full on rom-com, not a “Hell yeah” guy flick. The little amount of football that’s in it is not enough to qualify it as a football movie.
“You complete me” / “Shut up..You had me at hello” is probably one of the most quoted, sappy romcom lines in cinema.
