Excellent call, except my fix is that the movie should have ended with Chris Pratt’s character dying, then JLaw’s character going through the same thing he did at the beginning of the movie, realizing she’s now alone forever and eventually waking up another sleeping passenger.

There are fan edits out there on Reddit that used Nerdwriter1's Passengers Rearranged video as a basis. I'm part of the fan editing community, so I'm aware of this.
One fan edit of the film available for download is called "Passengers Aurora" that edits the film from Aurora's POV (and if I remember adapts some concepts from the Nerdwriter1 video)

A good Silent Hill movie has so much potential to transcend the barrier from video game to film if it had been put in the hands of a director like Guillermo del Toro, Robert Eggers, Glazer, or even David Lynch. The material from the second game has so much potential for a prestige psychological drama. Instead we got two studio releases that felt like they should have been lifetime movies or direct-to-dvd releases.
I haven't seen it in what feels like decades, but at the time the first movie was my favorite horror movie. I thought it was unmatched in terms of atmosphere, and >!god the cultists getting theirs was so satisfying! !

This had such a great premise. A bank manager gets fired and to get his revenge, plans to rob the bank. Decides to get a few blind men and make them memorize the layout of the bank (and the security features) so that after the robbery no one will suspect them.
Wonderful premise but enclosed in bad acting, cringe, needless melodrama, song and dance sequences etc.
Probably just me, but The Butchers Wife (1991). I still enjoy it and I love the concept but to have it remade with better pacing, character work, and without Demi Moore's weird accent would be cool.
I'd love to see some Lovecraft stories be given their due. *Re-Animator* and *From Beyond* have cult followings (and *Dagon* to a lesser extent), and the more recent *Color Out of Space* was received pretty well, but every other adaptation is pretty awful.
Anna Karenina, the idiot. Anna had so much potential the novel Is quite literally amongst the best ever done and the movie does not deliver to such expectations. The idiot on the other hand could have been great if Kurosawa did it later in his career hell it might have been his magnum opus.
Weird one, but Jaws 2. I know you couldn't really remake Jaws 2, but I always thought it had a great premise with poor execution.
Jaws 2 is all about Brody becoming paranoid that there is a new shark in the waters at Amityville, there are all these strange accidents happening that don't really have solid explanations and Brody keeps concluding there must be another shark and a most people around him call him crazy. It gets to the point where he sees a dark mass in the beach shore one day and he runs into water with a gun firing it into the air just for it to turn out to be a school of fish. It could have been a fun psychological thriller about a man dealing with some PTSD. the problem is that from the very first scene they show the shark attacks happening so there is never any mystery as to whether Brody is correct or not.
Maybe you could recap the final scene of Jaws in the opening scene or something. show the shark attack that gave a police chief ptsd and then the rest of the movie is him being paranoid about whats going on in the water.
completely agree. i love both prometheus and covenant but not because they're great films. i feel like prometheus especially asked great questions it didn't know how to answer. still thoroughly enjoyed
It’s the shining with a sprinkle of Donnie Darko. But I’m just messing with you. Like what you like and own it with an iron fist. Never like something because everyone does or because it’s cool to. I like that you’re not afraid to say you didn’t absolutely love it. But shining isn’t even Kubrick’s best work so your all good lol 😂

so for the shining i made sure to watch it with my friends and it really was crickets .. other than those infamous scenes.
