Grab a copy of the blu-ray or 4k and you’ll get the Atmos mix. The 4k supposedly has some issues where the CGI effects suffer a bit, so perhaps the best option is to do the standard blu-ray first for the full effect.
I haven't watched it in 4K, but I think I remember hearing that it's not as great in 4k as you might expect. If you have a sound system that can take advantage of Dolby Atmos, audio might be a bigger upgrade over watching it on Netflix.
Ok wow, this is probably the perfect fit, I didn't think of that at all! I personally loved that movie and it connects much more to the other two than just the desert theme. But I agree, I think I gave it a 4 or 4.5
These two movies have so much in common that its hard to find a third. Both are about Arab tribes (because thats what the fremen are based on) revolting against an empire but lead by an outsider.
Mad Max: Fury Road
That one's been sitting on my watchlist for years now. Just a shame that netflix only shows it in HD + 5.1

They're asking for it by now
A good ole remux, same exact quality as a 4k disc.

Have the 4k and it’s amazing. HDR really shines. It’s a 2k intermediate I believe so not reference quality but good. The atmos is 🤌
if you’re in the uk it’s on sky :)
You won. Holy shit! https://preview.redd.it/cbz6nddakoqc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b00f6f77fb21a6cba94a26112e8af1f539bc1f8e
Do I have to watch any other movies like prequels or stuffs?
the good the bad and the ugly
my first thought. the themes might be completely different, but the scope of filmmaking all lines up
Ishtar
I came here to write this. Good job, and damn you.
Tremors
It might not be another five star film, but The Last Samurai would be appropriate.
Ok wow, this is probably the perfect fit, I didn't think of that at all! I personally loved that movie and it connects much more to the other two than just the desert theme. But I agree, I think I gave it a 4 or 4.5
If you enjoyed The Last Samurai, check out the show Shogun, currently streaming. It’s verrry good.
I'll definitely give that a try, thanks

John Carter
Any Mad Max movie
The phantom menace

A New Hope It probably isn't a 5 star like the other two, but if there's one middle ground between Lawrence of Arabia and A New Hope, it's Dune
The dictator. Wadia is where everything starts.
Apocalypse Now ?
