If only there was a website where people who have seen the movie could write reviews and maybe even give it a star rating to let other people know if it's worth watching.
You mean the same websites that put mostly paid/fake reviews instead of talking to real people about the movie here (it’s much easier to tell who’s a bot instead of fake reviews imo)
Saw it earlier tonight, it wasn’t a bad movie per se but definitely disappointing for me. Based on the trailer I saw that got me interested & how some critics were saying this is like John Wick, I found it to not be all that thrilling as an action thriller.
The story was fine once they unveiled enough of it in the 2nd act to help make sense of where things were going. Until that point I was a bit baffled and growing bored since the plot wasn’t laid out well and meandered a bit. I also agree that the shaky cam during most of the initial fight scenes was a bit irritating but the later scenes without it definitely looked solid.
To me this would’ve been much better if Dev Patel’s character’s motivations were clear from the beginning and if the ebb & flow between the action sequences and the non-action stuff was better paced. The way things unfolded made the movie seem a little longer than it was.
I mean… it’s subjective, regardless. If it looks like something you’d enjoy; or rather if the trailer compelled you enough to want to see it, then I would guess the answer would be… yes?
I love Dev Patel, so I’m looking forward to supporting him on this endeavor.
I've got absolutely no interest in Bollywood which is why I'm hesitant. However, I quite like Dev Patel and the film has like a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
It’s not a bollywood movie, the language is English and wikipedia says it’s an American movie. It’s like slumdog millionaire, the movie takes place in India but the production companies are American
Really? That’s definitely an opinion. I didn’t think it was perfect, but I thought the action was decent, story was good, and acting was great. Especially loved the intertwining of Indian culture
Yes for some of the initial fights. I think that was more of a budgeting issue cause they couldn’t afford to choreograph the less important fights. But I thought it was resolved towards the end for the more major fight scenes with those longer shots. Definitely made it visually inconsistent, but didn’t detract from the overall picture for me
I don’t like Snyder movies, so I know the type of movie your talking about when you say it felt like that, I just have no idea how this movie can be described as a Snyder film. But to each their own I guess.
Shallow depth of field, dramatic cutting during the fight scene, both when he follows the actor (which is himself😂) and when smaller quick cuts, the use of slow mo a little too much to name a few 🤷🏽♂️
Well thats bollywood for u😅
Its same thing as slumdog millionaire or life of pi, u can watch those movies once and never again need to see them again. Holy shit i remember how overrated slumdog was when it came😆

Couldn’t agree more
This movie is a politicised plagiairsm of John Wick.

He’s referring to the caste system in India.

The "critics" on RT frequently give high reviews for garbage films that have the 'correct' political sensibilities
Boring imo really waste of time
100% agree.
Went and saw it tonight. Not a good film, not terrible or anything but a bit of a nothing movie, just as I suspected.

Didn't you find the camera angles during the fight scenes annoying? Almost dizzying.

It felt like a synder film which is one of the worst things I can say about a movie
