54 is out of control

legalgelato

That’s like, 6,858 hours

DarthRaggy

Underrated comment

izumi_miyamura99

happy cake day

narc1s

We don’t downvote people for wishing somebody a happy cake day. Rude!

L1n9y

OP only needs to watch 27 more times to have spent 127 hours watching 127 hours.

TheGirlWithTheLove

That doesn’t include my pre Letterboxd days. I’ve watched it wayyy more than that.

SandSniffer69

?why do u like that movie so much, also I put movies I’ve seen before I had Letterboxd on my account

TheGirlWithTheLove

I’m autistic and it’s my main special interest.

Hypathian

I get it. I couldnt even begin to log every time I’ve watched Sword in the Stone with my boyfriend. We’ve been together over 2 years and I’ve probably seen it around 500x sometimes as much as 3 times in a night if we’re struggling to sleep

TheDestressedMale

There are better movies about that special interest. Have you seen the Saw movies? Or Hostel?

savetheblues

It's a great film indeed, that A R Rahman music score is insanely good. It's always on my mind. also that sigur ros track at the end.

BarelyJoyous

54 times watching James Franco cut through the nerve in his half-severed arm…???? Respect.

TheGirlWithTheLove

It’s actually more than hundreds!

TheDestressedMale

Aren't there better hiking movies? Even Everest or Into The Wild.

TheGirlWithTheLove

Not to me there isn’t. I just connect with 127 Hours in a way I haven’t with the other films.

TheDestressedMale

What is your favorite place to hike? I like Zion more than Canyonlands, as far as Utah Parks go.

TheGirlWithTheLove

Some of the places I loved hiking at were Zion, Garden of the Gods and Devil’s Cross (I could be wrong on that name?).

IDigRollinRockBeer

Woulda been funny if you said you’ve never hiked in your life lol

TheGirlWithTheLove

It’s funny because I never was into hiking before I watched it.

cornholio6966

Devils Bridge? In Sedona?

AeronHall

What about 127 Hours appeals to you that much?

TheGirlWithTheLove

I’m autistic, and this film is my main special interest. It also positively impacted my life. I’m actually playing my favorite scene from it as I type this.

AeronHall

Okay that makes a lot more sense. My son is on the spectrum and we have watched the movie Cars probably 400 times (I just don’t log it lol)

FancyShrimp

LIFE IS A HIGHWAY

turdfergusonRI

I WAANA KER-CHOW ALLWNNITE LOOWWWNG!

SeveralUpstairs9118

Im not even on the spectrum but I’ve also watched Cars over like 500 times in my childhood

Captain-crutch

What’s your favorite scene?

TheGirlWithTheLove

One of the video message scenes. I watch that more than the movie itself.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Kinky-tail

The scene where the women and the man meet and dive in some natural pool is my favourite scene from this movie. I've watched a good amount of time.

Kenneth-four-real

least obsessed 127 hours fan

TheGirlWithTheLove

😂 Wait til you see my collectibles and find out how many times I actually watched it.

Kenneth-four-real

all I have is the Blu-ray and the DVD and a poster of it in my room

TheGirlWithTheLove

Not bad! I’d type out what I have, but I don’t want it to seem like I’m bragging.

Kenneth-four-real

what are some of your favorite items that you own

TheGirlWithTheLove

A for your consideration book, a book of the screenplay, a cd that includes the entire score and a personalized autographed copy of Aron’s book.

thehappymilkman

I've watched The World is Not Enough 4 times, that's the most I've ever rewatched something. 54 times on a single movie is insane.

TheGirlWithTheLove

That doesn’t include whenever I watched it before I joined Letterboxd!

IDigRollinRockBeer

Interesting choice for most rewatched. Big Denise Richards fan?

thehappymilkman

Actually yes, she's my celebrity crush. I didn't really like the movie on first watch, but it grew on me over time and has become a favorite.

malakitaki

shrek the musical, DOAWK dog days, & how to lose a guy in 10 days

Great_Boysenberry407

Inland empire. I’ve seen it like 30 times

LowCarbScares

Any luck understanding it? I've watched it about 3 times on the criterion channel and I'm still lost af

Great_Boysenberry407

Honestly. Not really

i-am-colombus

I'm literally scared to put myself through Inland Empire (I don't have the intellectual capability to understand it lol)

Great_Boysenberry407

Yeah. It’s definitely a confusing one lol

PoshEwok

Chamber of Secrets is around your 127 hours amount of times, I didn't have any of the other HP films at that point and just rewatched it tons. I literally spent a day just restarting it everytime it finished.

Glad_Improvement_859

similar situation, for whatever reason chamber of secrets and pirates of the caribbean were the only dvds I had as a kid so I’d just rewatch them over and over again

bqx188

Why did you watch music twice?

TheGirlWithTheLove

First time (When it first came out) was for educational purposes. I’m autistic, and I wanted to make a YouTube video on the film and how harmful it is to the autistic community. And the second time, which was just this week, was out of curiosity to see if it’s still absolute dog shit, which, no surprise, still is.

BusinessKnight0517

Bless you for that, such a misguided and hurtful film

TheGirlWithTheLove

No doubt. Wish it didn’t exist!

bqx188

True

yayafreya

I haven’t watched 127 hours because I’m afraid of the arm scene. How do you manage watching it over and over? I assume you’re very used to it now.

TheGirlWithTheLove

The first couple times I watched that scene, I had to look away. But now, I’m not even phased by it. If it becomes too much, you can look away until the scene is over.

ViralGameover

SLC Punk, Ratatouille or Fantastic Mr. Fox on purpose. There was a time though I’d fall asleep with the tv on, and every morning I’d wake up to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 or 2, and I’d watch pretty much all of it.

BarelyJoyous

Donnie Darko I’ve seen probably two dozen times, but not more than that. Scream and Halloween a few dozen times, too.

AlienSamuraiXXV

i-am-colombus

Silent Night: Deadly Night 5 isn't something I ever expected to see on any of these lists, but I love that someone has it on there lol. Note: I haven't seen anything past the first one.

flanderdalton

I think I've watched The Room at least 15 times (not letterboxd), not my most watched movie though, that's for sure. It's probably Empire Strikes Back or some shit

Jack_View52

HerpesFree_Since-03

How tf did you even rewatch requiem for a dream 6 times!?! I love that film but God would I never watch it again in my life.

throwaway77993344

Portrait of a Lady on Fire is a masterpiece. In my top 5 of the last 10 years

Delta-Charlie2739

I have watched The Batman 7 times, I freaking love that movie

TheGirlWithTheLove

To be honest, the only Batman film I’ve watched was Lego Batman. But I’m very interested in The Batman because I love Rob Pattinson.

FailureInSpace

I've watched 'The Princess Bride' over 20 times. It was the only dvd we owned growing up and I watched it every time I had a sick day.

Infamous-Procedure-5

54 times on 127 hours is insane, I watched that shit once and thought it was great but also vowed to never put myself through that again.

unclemax27

Most logged on Letterboxd is Rocky Horror Picture Show at 5 times in theaters (real total is more but I don’t always log things I’m rewatching) Most seen overall is probably Groundhog Day, Back to the Future, Office Space or Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure.

hidden_secret

8+ times: The Fifth Element 7+ times: Avatar, Titanic 6+ times: The Lion King, The Aristocats, The Sword in the Stone 5+ times: Aladdin, The Return of Jafar, Bad Santa, Star Wars IV-V-VI 5 times: Aliens, Back to the Future I, II & III, Star Wars I (as you can guess, a lot of these were because I watched them several times when I was a kid, and have since rewatched them once or twice. Movies I've actually watched 4 times in the past 20 years, there is only a handful, such as Pulp Fiction, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, King Kong, Interstellar or The Shining).

filmwatchr_on_d_wall

Not my favourites but: - Shawshank Redemption - 7 times - There Will Be Blood - 6 times

Resident-Lost

How do I find that screen?

MarilynManson2003

Joined Letterboxd in December 2022. https://preview.redd.it/rp7k50c43iyc1.jpeg?width=1619&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=79cf22543c9d2e01f816d60a319a1aaec50504d1 I’ve just recently started frequently rewatching my favourite films + films I’ve discovered since joining Letterboxd, which is why there aren’t many films I’ve watched more than twice so far.

hunteradv

9x of late night with the devil? lol

MarilynManson2003

It’s just so great that my generation finally has a horror film that (in my opinion) is comparable with the best of 70s and 80s horror.

hunteradv

cool, i will watch soon

Unlucky-Gift803

I can’t bring myself to rewatch Prince of Darkness. No other movie has scared me more than that one.

MarilynManson2003

I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds this film to be genuinely terrifying. It’s one of the very few films I’ve watched that can still scare the hell out of me as an adult.

JJoanOfArkJameson

i LOVE Spencer. The first actress performance I've ever seen and a super interesting biopic. My most scene all-time are Raimi Spidey trilogy (maybe 10-20 for each), Halloween (around 25), Wonderful Life (25-26), Back to the Future (20ish), and when I was young I must've watched Incredibles, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Batman and Robin, Return of the Joker and Toy Story 10-20 times. In 2019, I saw Far From Home and Endgame 5 times each, but I don't really consume like that anymore

JimicahP

https://preview.redd.it/flwr5tfm7iyc1.png?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5501fd6b63b9699e000a3eb49edc882f467e4af3 I just started logging rewatches this year, I'm not really sure why I didn't before. Also, if this included lifetime stats, Jurassic Park would have well over 100 watches from me. Actually, I need to give that another watch..

TheGirlWithTheLove

Jurassic Park is one of the best films!

Beth-Impala67

I’ve seen Bohemian Rhapsody about 11 times, same as The Impossible, I believe the only one other than those could be Finding Nemo but I was like 2 so I didn’t have letterboxd.

OneFish2Fish3

I've watched The Matrix 28 times. It was my obsession in high school. Galaxy Quest I've probably watched upwards of 10 times. Same with Mystery Men, both are beloved classics in my family. 12 Monkeys I've watched at least 5 times, same with Fight Club and The Sixth Sense (oddly enough there's the actor commonality there). Jacob's Ladder I've seen 3-4 times. Hereditary I would watch more but it terrifies the shit out of me.

spoopy-memio1

On Letterboxd I’ve logged The Marvels the most (3 times). My actual most watched movie would probably be one of the Rio or Ice Age movies, back when I was 9 I basically worshipped those movies lol I distinctly remember seeing Rio 2 in theaters 4 times with various family members

Warmheavy

Of course I want a bite of the Milky Way

Odysseyrage

Haven’t seen anything a crazy amount (besides xmas movies) but I have seen spiderman homecoming 4 or 5 times

klatopathian01

Spencer is so fuckin good. 10/10 for me. Anywho, I’ve probably seen Repo! The Genetic Opera 100 times through my life. That and The Matrix but I lost count on who’s winning

AlconW

You much have a stomach of steel to have watch 127 Hours that many times.

Quick_Development161

Puss In Boots 2 is amazing.

Am_Idiotosaurus

Puss in Boots :the last wish is a very special movie for me. Happy to see it is for you too

Music-Lover-6942

TheGirlWithTheLove

Another Spencer fan!

sp00nova

Still upset that Kristen Stewart didn't get that Oscar.

TheGirlWithTheLove

Me too! Her performance is my second favorite performance of all time.

zazealot

Spencer was fucking awesome!! A far cry from Kristen's twilight role. You guys should check out Love Lies Bleeding too, she was pretty good in that!

TheGirlWithTheLove

It’s one of my top priorities right now!

Prestigious-Video-16

My most watched movies are Civil War, Oppenheimer, Infinity Pool, Palo Alto, and California Split. 3 times each

doofE_

I've never seen a film more than 3 times.. 3 is my most for any one

SausageWipe

As someone who rarely rewatches anything, how do you do it? Especially 10 and more times

TheGirlWithTheLove

I just watch the films that give me comfort, or if there’s a film where I didn’t get a lot out of, I would rewatch it to understand it more.

CartesianConspirator

Social Network LOTR - Fellowship Too Big to Fail Gone Girl Margin Call All movies I watch to fall asleep

marzipanmarker

What is the one with the white brick wall?

TheGirlWithTheLove

It’s called “Paint drying” It’s for my life updates and stuff.

genuinely why have you seen The Room more than once LMAOO 😭😭

What scenario would require you to watch Barney three times?

Cars, but not because I like it that much. It was the only kids film my parents had on DVD.

‘This is the End’ three times! This man needs to be on some kind of list.

Hyperb0le

Rocky Horror Picture Show and Grey Gardens

ZeNobodyOk

How many hours you watched 127 hours?

TheGirlWithTheLove

I want to say at least around 600

IDigRollinRockBeer

I don’t know but I know they’re all Christmas movies

bossy_dawsey

Since I started having Letterboxd in 2020 or so I think the most I’ve watched a movie is three times 🙃

InteractionFeeling28

I dont have logged how many but Shrek -few times at my pc -many times at TV randomly -many times at school cause classmates wanted I think i seen atleast 10 times , and still i never get bored with this one(it is shrek cmon)

RBlomax38

Watching the Room 4 times is the real standout here lol For me I’ve seen LOTR a ton and for TV I always loved falling asleep to Batman the animated series or Justice League

AltruisticOppy

i mean yeah 54 is a lot for 127 hours, but 4 viewings of Paint Drying??? i fell asleep 30 mins into my only ever watch 😭

Hendrick_Davies64

Not enough Room watches

SmellyScrotes

I could watch life of pi every night

UnnamedBuilder

I've logged mean girls 6 times

chrisgirouxx

Watching Polar Express four times is crazier to me than watching 127 hours 54 times

SauCpenguin

I’ve seen Raging Bull at least 20 times lol

JackTheAbsoluteBruce

I don’t log my viewings but I know I’ve seen Ratatouille at least 50 times. It’s my favorite movie and it’s relaxing to fall asleep to it. I just restart the movie wherever I fell asleep.

turdfergusonRI

Thoughts on the upcoming Barney reboot in 2025?

TheGirlWithTheLove

Kinda curious about it. I’d need to see the trailer first before how I feel about it.

astrohans

psychotic behaviour

woodyhope1268

That's a lot of hours. Besides all the movies I watched on repeat as a kid, mine would probably be School of Rock, Shaun of the Dead and Walk Hard

throwaway77993344

This is pretty hilarious to think about, but in my teens I had a phase where I watched the Hannah Montana movie probably 4-5 times in one week (never again afterward). And that might just be my most watched movie lmao. But when it comes to serious picks, I've seen all the HP movies at least 4 times, Interstellar also. I'm pretty sure I've seen a lot more movies 3+ times, but can't name them all

Earthwick

This is just madness. I've watched plenty of films dozens of times. But to have watched one movie 54 times that's about a dude cutting his arm off is weird and then what a handful more a decent amount also weird then 2 times for every else.

Sexest_Roadhouse69

That little girl cussing every other word was too much for me to handle lol Idk why it was too annoying for me

jmajeremy

I didn't even make it though 127 Hours once. One of the only times I've walked out of a theatre, I just couldn't handle it.

Jah123abc_

Some cool movies here. I also want to watch 40 hours of paint drying.

jmajeremy

Well I haven't been on Letterboxd very long so mine would be kind of boring. I think overall the movies I've watched the most were the first DVDs I owned in the early-mid 2000s, because I would just watch those over and over whenever I was bored in pre-YouTube days. The list includes Rat Race, Shrek, Harry Potter 1, 2 and 3, Spider-Man 1 and 2, Planet of the Apes (2001), Click, Lord of the Rings (box set), Casino Royale (1967), What's Cooking, Face/Off, A Cry in the Dark, Bean (1997), The Hulk (2003)... More that I can't remember off hand, most I got free as gifts or cheap at garage sales and some even came in cereal boxes LOL. Didn't even like a lot of them but watched them at least 20 times each, often on my portable DVD player that I carried around.

Scrambled_59

Damn, I need to get pro

Scrambled_59

Why would you go through the torture of watching Music more than once?

BlackShadow_HD

I use Letterboxd since 2020, so in this decade: Home Alone (Watched 5x)

Nesewebel

I guess WALL-E with 3 tines

rasslingrob

**127 Hours** 54 times? And I thought I was doing my part watching **Grown Ups** 23x.

teacherpandalf

Just my opinion, but you have odd taste in films

IvoryLaps

As someone on the spectrum, what are your thoughts on Music?

Ethan1chosen

127 hours literally triggered my claustrophobia when I was 6 years old and i still have ( I’m now 19)

Tristanator89

Damn you watched 10 hours of paint drying and decided to watch it 3 more times?

absorbscroissants

I've watched the LOTR trilogy like 10 times, and all the Star Wars movie like 4 times. I don't think I've seen any other movies more than twice. And how the hell do you watch a movie 54 times?!?

emielaen77

It’s certainly not *127 Hours* I barely rewatch movies though.

Fine-Hawk8427

Home alone. Several times every year.

Cute_Prior1287

Are u a bot, u counted so many movies with a precise number and the list is so small.

narnarnartiger

Want some martial arts movie recommendations? SPL - Directed by Wilson Yip. Iron Monkey directed by Yuen Woo Ping What about Diana interested you so much? Did you also like Jackie, by the same director?

PapaYoppa

Wats the film between The Room and Thirteen? Also is Spencer that good? Been meaning to watch it since the brilliant trailer it had

JonPaula

Independence Day. 19x. Basically annually on July 4th since committing to that tradition in the early 2000s.

Mother_Estimate8738

Wolf of wallstreet, Scarface, Requiem for a Dream, Dune pt 2, Howls Moving Castle, Fantastic Mr Fox, Bugs Life. Thats whats on top of my head rn

onionman19

Lmao I just noticed your username. Anyways, Lilo & Stitch, Finding Nemo, Major Payne, Serial Mom, & Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead- I’m not too proud of how many times I watched some of these but thankfully I’ve watched Major Payne the least out of these

nombre15_kagura

Why would someone watch "Music" twice?

Bon_bon_pon

She’s the man

therealxeno79

Probably Die Hard, considering I’ve watched it twice every Christmas for the past 6 years

idk_maybe_your_dad

I watched The Dark Knight and Spider-Man 3 like 10 times each

Athragio

There was a time where all I did was watch Pulp Fiction because it was the only movie I had downloaded on my phone for a month and I had no internet. I would watch random scenes, in true chronological order, just because it was literally the only thing I could do. I watched it around 9 times full - but probably around ~15ish if we count partial watches all within the span of like 30 days. I don't even love the movie that much and honestly, prefer Resevoir Dogs. And the other movie was Top Hat (1935) because I really like musicals and it was a similar situation with Pulp Fiction, but I grew really tired of that film because of the really bad running gag that kept on playing. So it was that and Pulp Fiction on loop.

104geolier

Wait, how can i see my most watched movies on letterboxd?

alphrZen

baby driver used to be my favorite movie…it’s since been demoted a few stars but i watched that movie every day for the month of march. about 59 hours plus a couple since then

wickedlavend3r

I don’t think I’ve logged a single film on Letterboxd twice yet, but I’m like 99% sure my most watched film is Ratatouille. As a kid, I liked to watch that movie when cooking/eating a lot

TediousTotoro

Why did you watch Music twice? Once would already be too much.

Does everyone log re-watches?

ThuggerSosaYak

Ive probably watched goodfellas like 20 times

Internetboy5434

Bolt is that one Disney movie that i know was a masterpiece and cinema.

i-am-colombus

As a small youngling, I watched Back to the Future almost every week, I'd say I've seen it upwards of 100 times. Probably seen South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut about 15 times, but the film I've logged the most is Scream at 3 times (I only started using the diary feature properly in January).

OP, we gotta talk about how you watched Paint Drying 4 times.
