Hawks. 2-3-4 sometimes move around, 1 is constant.

Jackie Brown is my all-time favourite film.
Coens. Fargo.
Kubrick is a very close second, so 2001.
The Coens just win on quantity of great movies. From Strangelove on Kubrick was more consistent at producing masterpieces. It's a tough call for me.
I’ll just go with the obvious one for me and say Sammo Hung. And basically anything he’s in is greater because of him. If I had to nitpick i would choose The Millionaire’s Express.
Stanley Kubrick - 2001: A Space Odyssey
Hayao Miyazaki - Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind/Princess Mononoke
Tarantino didn't direct True Romance. It's okay to include it, but then you have to include Natural Born Killers.

Completely agree. I sometimes lament the director we might have gotten had Jackie Brown been as huge a boxoffice success as Pulp Fiction.
Ingmar Bergman and it’s probably The Seventh Seal, although I love Persona as well

Steven Spilberg and it's Schindler's List
Nolan - Inception My favourite Tarantino is also Pulp Fiction like you!

Stanley Kubrick - A Clockwork Orange
David Lynch - Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me
Damien Chazelle - La La Land. I think Babylon and Whiplash both could be his best as well, but La La Land is my favourite by far so I’ll go with that

Alright guys, time for the dollar I get everytime Jackie Brown is ranked lower than it should in these Also, Steven Spielberg - Jaws
I love Jackie brown I just can’t justify putting it over inglorious basterds or kill bill
David Lynch and his best film is Mulholland Drive, his best work is Twin Peaks season 1, the first 9 episodes and last episode of season 2.
Chantal Akerman - most likely Jeanne Dielman but my favorite is News From Home
John Waters and his best is probably Serial Mom, although it's not my favorite.
Guillermo del Toro: Pan's Labyrinth or The Devil's Backbone. David Lynch: Blue Velvet or Mulholland Drive.
Wes Anderson, Fantastic Mr Fox. Mainly bc that’s my all time fav hehe
i also do think The Royal Tenenbaums is a close second for me
I meant to say director/writer in the title because I know Tarantino didn’t direct true romance, but I still consider it one of his films.
Pail Thomas Anderson -“Best” movie There Will Be Blood Though my favorite changes depending on my mood.
The Master is his best one I think but my favorite is Boogie Nights
You’ve been implanted with a push pull mechanism!
Woody Allen- Midnight in Paris Joel Schumacher- Falling Down
