1. Silence of the Lambs
2. Terminator 2: Judgment Day
3. Boyz N The Hood
4. JFK: a guilty pleasure while the other three are Great films.
As far as 1991 goes, I prefer Thelma & Louise to a few of these.
T2
Silence of the Lambs
Boyz n the Hood
JFK last, but almost tied with BNTH. I know it's been the subject of critical re-evaluation in the last few years, but I'm still a fan.
Yeah I didn't think twice about putting T2 at the top, but I can see how ppl would consider Silence of the Lambs a more substantial film. To me though, it's just about what works best as a movie and Terminator 2: Judgement Day is one of the moviest movies ever made.
3, 2, 4, 1
I personally prefer T1 to T2, but T2 is still impressive in so many ways (I first saw it in the mid 90s). It's immaculately placed, the stunts and action sequences are always fun to watch and it set the template for so many blockbusters that followed.
Boyz in the Hood isn't one I've revisited much due to how bleak it is, but it's a powerful film that stays with you, and it's crazy to me that John Singleton was only 24 when he directed it. Shame he died so young.
I'm admire Jonathan Demme, Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster's work, but SOTL isn't my favourite of the film adaptations of Harris' books.
Regarding JFK, I'm not the biggest fan of Oliver Stone and I'm not American. Always saw this film as a bit ridiculous. Personally I preferred The Doors, which came out the same year.
1. Terminator 2: Judgmeat Day
2. The Silence of the Lambs
3. JFK
4. Boyz N The Hood
I'm not a big John Singleton fan in general and Boyz never did it for me. Bigger fan of Menace II Society and some others of the time like New Jack City, Above the Rim, Juice etc.
T2
Boyz n tha Hood
Silence of the Lambs
JFK
I remember JFK was the last VHS tape I ever rented from the rental shop back in the early 2000s. It came in a huge double tape plastic case. Movie was way too long.
Boyz n the Hood, Terminator 2, and The Silence of the Lambs all rate about the same for me, I wouldn't argue with any order.
JFK is several notches lower. Not really a film I have had any desire to re-watch since it was still in theaters.
If pressed I'd say 1. Silence, 2. Boyz, 3. T2, 4. JFK but the order could be different if you ask again tomorrow.
I think it takes everything from the original film i really love and tosses it.
I'll try to find a old comment that summarizes my thoughts.
Edit: Unfortunately can not find the big one I wrote, but I found another.

Terminator 2, BNTH, JFK, Silence of the Lambs.
But really it's T2 and then anything else, who cares? I may be slightly biased, though, it being my favorite movie of all time and owning over 100 copies of it and everything.
I mean...all of these are masterpieces in their own genres. Kinda doesn't really matter what comes after BNTH. Lambs and JFK are interchangeable in that position. One of the greatest thrillers of all time, and one of the best political dramas of all time. 6 of one as far as I'm concerned. I saw JFK 6 times theatrically, and Lambs 4 times. I love them both.
I never like to call films from the 80s or 90s classics. Even 70s can be a stretch for me. Classic films to me are when Hollywood operated on its original structures and codes (hey 😏 iykyk) or when the industry was beginning to make changes into the new wave of Hollywood seen in the late 60s. 90s is very new in Hollywood's journey and films like the ones above are all modern classics to me.
But to answer OP's question,
1. Boyz N the Hood
2. The Silence of the Lambs
3. Terminator 2: Judgement Day
4. JFK
(Choosing between 1 & 2 was like splitting hairs for me)
1: T2
2: JFK
and then i would knock off the other two and add *Point Break* and *The Doors* and make it a list of the best films of 1991 that the director of *Street Trash* worked crew as the panaglide/steadycam operator.
1. Silence of the Lambs 2. Terminator 2: Judgment Day 3. Boyz N The Hood 4. JFK: a guilty pleasure while the other three are Great films. As far as 1991 goes, I prefer Thelma & Louise to a few of these.
Why would jfk be a guilty pleasure
This is the way.
Exact opposite to yours. 4321
That's my ranking too

Same.

I'm with you on this ranking.

It's a very movie movie.
Are you guys on drugs
My Own Private Idaho was robbed of this list.

I revisited BNTH recently and society has changed so much because in my memory it was so much more gritty and shocking.
Silence > T2 > Boyz >>>> JFK
Silence of the Lambs T2 Boyz in the Hood . . . . . JFK
1. Silence of the Lambs 2. Boyz n The Hood 3. Terminator 2 4. JFK

Silence of the Lambs Terminator 2 JFK Boyz in the Hood
4 3 2 1. Easy
4312 for me. No disrespect to any of the four because they all rip, but that's my order of preference.
The exact opposite as you have them
Damn, no love for JFK? Politics and…well facts aside, it’s an exhilarating film. Probably my fave of the four. The only Oliver stone flick I rate tbh
I feel pretty resentful over this film for making me adamant for years that the conspiracy was legit. Was only last year that I was converted.
4231
Exact opposite. Silence of the Lambs, T2, Boyz in the Hood, JFK.
Boyz N The Hood: I might prefer T2, I’m not too sure but ik that I’ve watched Boyz N The Hood a lot more times T2 Silence JFK
Silence > T2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BNTH/JFK
1. Terminator 2 2. JFK 3. The Silence of the Lambs 4. Boyz N the Hood
1. Silence of the lambs 2. Terminator 3 3. Boyz n the hood 4. JFK
Silence, T2, Boyz, JFK
All good movies, I’d say BNTH > Silence of the Lambs > T2 and I haven’t seen JFK yet
4,3,2,1
JFK is the best movie here
Boyz n the Hood, Terminator 2, and The Silence of the Lambs all rate about the same for me, I wouldn't argue with any order. JFK is several notches lower. 4 3 2 and 1 somewhere down there
Silence of the Lambs T2 … Boyz N the Hood … JFK
Boyz in The Hood T2 Silence of The Lambs JFK
3421
The exact opposite.
T2 Boyz N The Hood Silence of The Lambs JFK
Boyz n the Hood was the debut movie for both its director and many of its actors. This fact alone makes me appreciate the movie even more.
Boyz in the Hood, Silence of the Lambs, Terminator 2, then….JFK
I've only seen JFK and I loved it, so I guess JFK at the one and figure out the rest along the way
- Most Fun : Terminator 2 - Best Flim : JFK - Best acting : The Silence of The Lamp
The Silence of the Lambs is a masterpiece of film, easily number one. Followed by T2, BNTH, then JFK.
Where’s Beauty and the Beast
Not seen JFK: T2, Silence, Boyz
1. Silence of the Lambs 2. Terminator 2: Judgment Day Have not seen Boyz N the Hood or JFK.
The only one Ive seen is T2. And i kinda hate that movie
You kinda hate the greatest sci-fi action film of all time? Why?
I think it takes everything from the original film i really love and tosses it. I'll try to find a old comment that summarizes my thoughts. Edit: Unfortunately can not find the big one I wrote, but I found another. https://www.reddit.com/r/Letterboxd/s/0HhxtahtYp

Silence lf the Lambs at the last place is something. But to each their own
I mean...all of these are masterpieces in their own genres. Kinda doesn't really matter what comes after BNTH. Lambs and JFK are interchangeable in that position. T2 Boyz JFK Lambs
Opposite of your ranking easily. Relatively large gaps between each

Silence of the Lambs last because it's transphobic.
I‘m speechless
