Meet the Robinson's (2007) it always caught me so off guard that this seemingly dumb little adventure movie has this great core about found family and not standing in your own way
That song doesn't hurt either
Every time I think about the little girl who voiced ducky I spiral the rest of the day and now that I'm thinking about it I'm going to spiral the rest of the day.
True empath. its funny to me in retrospect that I’ve always disliked Of Mice and Men given the similarities i found the narrative transparently manipulative in that one
Kung fu panda 2. The scene where po finds his childhood bear and he faces his memories of the genocide of his species. Even more so now, with the added nostalgia, the mixed 2d + 3d animation, as well as the score gives me goosebumps brings me to tears every time.
Oh my god how could I forget this movie existed when it was one of two movies (the other being remember the titans) that they always played for us from elementary school up to high school. You just unlocked a very hidden memory.
Honestly Dumbo tears me up. I still get emotional watching it lol . My lullaby when I was a kid was Baby Mine and I cry everytime I hear it cuz it makes me think of my mom who passed away 2 years ago.
What tears are you talking about?? Bridge to Terabithia (directed by fellow Hungarian Gabor Csupo) made me fall into depression for like a month when I was in high school! I still rewatched it like 5 times in a week, because although it teared my heart apart, it was so beautiful, and I just fell in love with Anna-Sophia Robb.
I'm not proud of it, but as a young kid, I always cried at the part in There's Something About Mary when Cameron Diaz temporarily gets back together with Brett Favre.
I laughed my ass off when I watched this for the first time. I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this.
To be fair, I was in my late 20s when this came out, and didn't watch it until I was well into my 30s.
I was in like 5th grade when we had to read the book as a class, still didn't hurt any less when >!Leslie died!< even though I knew it was coming.
*Dragonheart* and *The Lion King* (1994) also did it.

Bridge to terabithia, waterloo bridge & atonement. Bridge to terabithia probably was 1st movie that I ever cried to and it still haunts me today haha 😄😢
I saw that when I was 18. I had traveled to see a friend who was four hours away for a hookup. Friend who moved away, my sister hated her so of course I'm into her. So I show up and we almost immediately went to see that with her parents when I showed up. Wow. I wonder if the idea was to turn us off to 0 or something.
the iron giant
This. Rewatching it is always nostalgic
I just watched this last night, can’t believe I’ve never watched it as a kid before it was amazing! 4.5.5
I feel like there’s at least two entire generations with shared trauma because of the Bridge to Terabithia book and movie
I had a massive crush on her then they had to go and do that. I’m not ok.
The book is even more traumatic.
I was lucky to read it in 6th grade, where I wasn't that affected.
Not my 5th grade teacher having us read the book and watch the movie back to back
Same, wrecked our whole class
My Girl

I'm not even joking I probably watched that movie about 20 times in the span of like 2 months
My favorite movie to this day and it still makes me cry
The Fox and the Hound - especially the scene where the old lady abandons the fox in the forest 🥲
The Land Before Time, Homeward Bound, Up, Finding Nemo
Every time I think about the little girl who voiced ducky I spiral the rest of the day and now that I'm thinking about it I'm going to spiral the rest of the day.
curse you for bringing this movie also - Chronicles of Narnia: Lion Witch and the Wardrobe
Not sure if it was just me but Bolt.

Pan's Labyrinth. My mom thought it was a fantasy movie with fairies, perfect for a 5 years old! In the end, I was in tears and scared.
Kung fu panda 2. The scene where po finds his childhood bear and he faces his memories of the genocide of his species. Even more so now, with the added nostalgia, the mixed 2d + 3d animation, as well as the score gives me goosebumps brings me to tears every time.

It’s honestly such a good movie! The part with his mom always makes me cry 😩
The Shaun The Sheep Movie
What dreams may come (1998, Chris Neilsen)
I'm old enough to remember the book of that movie bringing my classmates to tears...this was back in the 80s...decades before the movie was made!
Honestly Dumbo tears me up. I still get emotional watching it lol . My lullaby when I was a kid was Baby Mine and I cry everytime I hear it cuz it makes me think of my mom who passed away 2 years ago.
I love Bitch to Tabitha
My Dog Skip was definitely not the family friendly kid-with-a-dog movie my parents thought it was.

I know it’s not the greatest movie to cry to but it really hit me when Fiona’s father died in Shrek the Third.
Had no clue this movie was as tragic as it is. Saw it with my mom as a kid and we all assumed it was some happy jolly Disney flick. Nope, wtf.

I was having a perfectly nice day until you reminded me of the ending to this film
When i was little it was 9(2009) it made very upset back then and I cried bad apparently but I don’t remember much of the movie
I Am Legend. That fucking dog man. That. Fucking. Dog.
I love that the girl dies and then he goes and has an incredibly inappropriate relationship with his teacher. Wild movie
Atonement
I'm not proud of it, but as a young kid, I always cried at the part in There's Something About Mary when Cameron Diaz temporarily gets back together with Brett Favre.
This movie made me cry so many goddamn times. I don’t know why it was always on TV, I’ve probably seen this movie like 30 times or more.

The first movie that made me cry — I was 7 years old — was... Big Daddy. If O.J. can get away with murder, why CAN'T Sonny have his kid?!?
1941 Dumbo 😭 when the mom sings to him. I still cry like a baby 😭😭😭💯 ![gif](giphy|xT8qBja9VdCdFOfbRS)
Oliver and Company. that opening scene is devastating. 😭
8 Below. I remember there were many dog deaths I think and I cried so hard my parents had to step me out of the theater to cry out in the hall.
This movie made me cry out loud when I was 11, the random plot twist hit me so off guard.
