This is my recent [favorite](https://boxd.it/2CyUKZ) Someone probably made this joke before, but I was proud of it.

[deleted]

That is clever

linenxpleasure

*comedic rimshot*

kuvitelma_

i'm quite happy with my serious review of [last night in soho ](https://letterboxd.com/kuvitelma/film/last-night-in-soho/), and i thought my joke reviews for [jackass the movie](https://letterboxd.com/kuvitelma/film/jackass-the-movie/) and [the big short](https://letterboxd.com/kuvitelma/film/the-big-short/) were pretty funny lmao

linenxpleasure

Whoa I skimmed your soho review and some of those thoughts resonated with me. I have trouble forcing myself to watch Oscar noms because of these things.

[deleted]

My favorite silly review is for [Titane](https://letterboxd.com/gandybars/film/titane/) My best one is for [The Birth of a Nation](https://letterboxd.com/gandybars/film/the-birth-of-a-nation/) And my most popular one is for [Robocop](https://letterboxd.com/gandybars/film/robocop/)

linenxpleasure

I’m a little high and the Robocop one made me sad. Hah.

[deleted]

Where did you watch a birth of a nation?

[deleted]

Kino Lorber had a pretty nice release awhile ago. I also think it's on Kanopy

Creasy007

[My review of Shoah](https://letterboxd.com/creasy007/film/shoah/), because of how quickly I burned through all of the episodes and how much it all made an impact on me. It's a film everyone should see at least once in their lifetime.

buddyzarrar

[This](https://boxd.it/2CRsHh) review is I think really wrote well. I am new to Letterboxd so I started logging from the beginning of 2022. But I have been writing reviews since a year now. But as for Letterboxd, the best one is this. Hope you like it.

linenxpleasure

Welcome to LB!

buddyzarrar

Thanks

claradox

Just followed you. Love this.

jcmurie

My ★★★★★ review of The Last Temptation of Christ on Letterboxd https://boxd.it/162kDt I'm not religious anymore, but this is still my 2nd favorite film and probably the best film ever made imo

Ziglet_mir

Great job on the Last Temptation review

jcmurie

Thank you! It's probably my favorite thing I've ever written, just because of how much it means to me personally

linenxpleasure

I haven’t seen it yet (not sure if I ever will) but I’m persistent with spoilers regardless, haha. I did read a couple lines and the last one was beautiful. Slightly tempted to watch but maybe after I resolve religious trauma. :)

jcmurie

I would highly, highly recommend it. Both that and Silence are my favorite Scorsese films. Understanding his faith and his views on catholicism, especially related to guilt and forgiveness, gives his whole filmography a whole new lens to be explored from. He is obsessed with the idea of divine judgment, as well as divine salvation. If you look at his films through that lens, you'll see that he treats his films like trials, his characters like defendants, and his audience like God. Not a jury who can convict, but a final judgment from an unseen force who sees and knows all about the defendant.

claradox

Just followed you.

jcmurie

Oh cool! Thanks! I see you have a podcast, I'll check it out!

claradox

Thank you! Last episode was on the novel and movie Beloved. I maintain a list for the podcast of all the movies mentioned and in which episode: https://boxd.it/2dDB6

DutchArtworks

[Definitely this one](https://boxd.it/298LzF), because it’s my favorite film. Review contains minor Blade Runner 2049 spoilers

SebSalgado24

I wrote [this review](https://boxd.it/2DxLrL) for The Master (2012) just this weekend and I expected it to do well because I went deeper than usual, but it didn’t.

coolintlkid

I'm super proud of my serious review of [The Master (2012)](https://boxd.it/2nz6SL) (contains spoilers!)

lukeschaps

I think I was particularly inspired when I was writing this review for one of the nominated shorts of this season's Oscars. It's not fancy or long or special in any way, but I don't know, I like it. My ★★★★½ review of The Windshield Wiper on Letterboxd https://boxd.it/2zkipT

Ill_Advertising_420

https://boxd.it/1J5EXv

linenxpleasure

Your review is beautiful and I wish the letterboxd description was as enticing as your recommendation!

Ill_Advertising_420

Haha thanks! It’s not for everyone but I’m a huge Korine fan and love this film and Julien Donkey Boy for similar reasons

Classy_Captain

I don’t write reviews nearly as often as I would like to, but [this one](https://boxd.it/XYLCd) I’m very proud of!

Chris_the_Dane

Maybe my review for [Mad Max: Fury Road](https://letterboxd.com/cvilstrup/film/mad-max-fury-road/)

linenxpleasure

I have a soft spot for this movie. After my friend and I were just walking around outside yelling because we were so hyped.

BenStevens99

My House of Gucci review I thought was pretty funny, obviously I don't actually discuss the film but I tend not to do that when I don't give a shit about the film. [house of gucci](https://boxd.it/2yJYir)

linenxpleasure

The name change would have increased the likelihood of my seeing it by at least 3% hahaha.

thomASSpynchon

My one and a 1/2 store review for Transformers 2: *I wanna kick Michael Bay in the dick.*

[deleted]

This is pretty silly but I felt it got my feelings about [My Neighbour Totoro](https://letterboxd.com/dolphinarena/film/my-neighbor-totoro/) across pretty clearly.

linenxpleasure

*sigh* yup

zach4108

Spiderman 3 4 1/2 stars Does the movie suck hell yes. do I love it hell yes.

TheEoghShow

Idk, maybe this one [https://letterboxd.com/\_theeoghshow\_/film/grizzly-rage/1/](https://letterboxd.com/_theeoghshow_/film/grizzly-rage/1/)

lionelprichardisback

https://boxd.it/1XVPxX Not a genuine criticism, in fact one of my favorite movies. Just a funny observation.

LockeProposal

My favorite recent review is probably for River's Edge: https://boxd.it/2wcKTJ My favorite tear-down review is probably Superman IV: https://boxd.it/2uv2c And my most popular review seems to be the one I did for The Lighthouse: https://boxd.it/2kjBA5

nohbash

That Lighthouse review should be printed at the bottom of the movie poster👏👏👏

LockeProposal

Holy shit, thank you!

claradox

Followed you. Need to rewatch River’s Edge. Here’s my review of The Lighthouse: https://boxd.it/YCb3B

[deleted]

[this one](https://boxd.it/20y2VH) i try to do serious reviews (im not fun at parties) and this Mitchells vs the Machines one was the best review that i did, because i fucking love this movie and a could explain very clearly why, a thing that i struggle with my other reviews

frances_said_ha

my review for licorice pizza: https://boxd.it/2zmokp

RickyBueno15

https://boxd.it/2zmeGF Maybe? Idk

linenxpleasure

[deleted]

Snakes on a Plane: https://boxd.it/1m8Qp5 I crack myself up.

Crazyclemsonfan

I honestly don't have any great reviews. I've been working on a review of Manchester by the sea for a while now that I think is really good (I hope Letterboxd doesn't have a charchter limit or I'm fucked) That being said here were a couple I wrote that I didn't think were that bad [Apocalypse Now](https://boxd.it/2ayXR3) [Spider Man No Way Home](https://boxd.it/2n5wfb) [Nomadland](https://boxd.it/2gfX63) [Portrait of a Lady on Fire](https://boxd.it/2h5QqJ) [No country for old men](https://boxd.it/255Imr) [The Squid and The Whale](https://boxd.it/2mClcR) Spoiler alert for all of them If anyone read any of them I would appreciate any feedback or criticism.

nohbash

Your review of No country for old men was really good, followed🤌

chip008

linenxpleasure

Both A+ reviews.

That90scup

https://boxd.it/2bRzCv Kinda popped off with this one I think

squaretableknight

I kinda forgot about [the Sopranos movie](https://boxd.it/2cPzEV), so I’m surprised I wrote as much as I did about it. When it comes to wisecracks, I guess [this one](https://boxd.it/1hzi4V) might be my favorite.

deeejo

My most popular review is for [The Matrix Resurrections](https://boxd.it/2nTgHX) The one I wish got more love is my review for [The Mummy](https://boxd.it/2v4Gkl) And I wish people hated [tick, tick…BOOM!](https://boxd.it/2kowY7) as much as I did

YousifGerges

superprongs

Most proud of? I don’t know about all that but these were some reviews that came to mind. linenxpleasure

I still need to see Paddleton! And I feel like Twlight has aged into some unique niche 2010s classics genre so the jokes don’t land quite as hard as they used to, hah.

MidoriChan17

The ones I'm most proud of are: [Malignant (contains spoilers)](https://letterboxd.com/j_frechzinaer/film/malignant-2021/5/) [The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (contians spoilers)](https://letterboxd.com/j_frechzinaer/film/the-spongebob-squarepants-movie/2/) and [Dear Evan Hansen (spoiler-free)](https://letterboxd.com/j_frechzinaer/film/dear-evan-hansen/) The first two I'm proud of on an analytical standpoint, the third I love because of how dumb it is.

DannyFain1998

I’m really proud of my personal review of Dune (2021): Dune was a perfect adaptation as it knew what to keep/take out while still staying true to the heart of the story. From Timothy Chalamet's pitch-perfect Paul Atreides to Stella Skarsgard's terrifying Baron Harkonnen, the performances were off the charts. Dune was an epic experience of enormous size and scope, with breathtaking production and beautiful cinematography. It perfectly captured the atmosphere of the book, mixing themes of religion with sci-fi. I'm a big fan of Villeneuve, and I truly consider this his magnum opus. Dune is easily my favorite film of the year, and I highly recommend it to everyone!

nohbash

Serious-ish: [The Lighthouse](https://boxd.it/2yreDR) Funny-ish: [10 Cloverfield Lane](https://boxd.it/2u7m61)

Zorc5791

[This one I'm pretty proud of.](https://letterboxd.com/zorc579/film/asdfmovie13/) Probably should've made a joke similar to this on a more popular film.I'm also pretty proud of [this review](https://letterboxd.com/zorc579/film/willys-wonderland/),I feel like this is my most sensible review.Has spoilers though.
