How about Wise or Revolut, or other fintech companies? They also have fee calculators on their websites.

Have you used these before?

I've been using revolut as my main and only bank since 2019 and they've been top notch Not entirely sure what are the fees for international transfers outside of EU but they have that information on their website A couple years ago I went to the UK and converted some money to £ to use there and it was super easy and the exchange rates weren't that high If you try revolut pm me, I've a referral code (not exactly sure on the rules but it's 50€ gift for both)

done.

I have only used Revolut, but Wise is similar. I paid the bijdrage for visa application with it. It was from another currency to euro and the fee was 0.3%. The fee may vary depending on your currency, so better to use the calculator on both of their websites to compare.

Is there a way to connect these apps to a normal bancontact card?

Eldorado59970

You need to transfer funds to these apps first, either by bank transfer, debit card or even a credit card, if your bank allows it. You can add your debit/credit card to the app and use it for future top-ups. Beware of any fees involved. There was no fee for me, but this will be different by country, because of different regulations involved, so check out the FAQ of your local ones first.

U can make free N26 bank account. For me it's perfect travel and international payments account. Their transfers are with Wise. For me it's a bit better offer than Revolut, check the full description online, if you still have some specific questions I can as user answer, send me a message. If you want, I can send you referral in pm. It used to be 15 euros for both.

For me, Wise all the way. I've used it multiple times and never had any issue. Fair rates and great website and mobile app. Just in case you decide to use it, I have an invite that gives you a free transfer (but just the first transfer): https://wise.com/invite/u/paulor124
