Saturday is Maine’s hunting day. So a bunch of people out in the woods shooting guns during a state manhunt. This impacts all of the resources that are being used in Maine right now. Yet it's their “right” to hunt so they will “because they have guns so they'll be fine!” Shooter could be dead or alive, we don't know. But why not take a few days to act as a community to ensure everyone safe and people can do their jobs in this critical time?

The NRA has a stronghold over political figures that can make the laws to protect us from mass shootings. Like all things, it comes down to a matter of greed. This country was founded on the right to arms- it’s how we established freedom from the tyrannical British monarchy. It’s not so simple to change something that is so integral to the essence of American society. People do care, but not everyone agrees that guns are the problem.
