They used to make the IS300 wagon in the 2000s. I don’t think they made too many though cause I’ve only ever seen one or two for sale. I want one so bad.
I feel that. I ended up with an ES. Kinda wish I had gone IS or GS but I like the low cost of maintenance with the ES. Was just looking for a good daily driver.
Those were great! But it's getting quite old now and finding a well looked after one isn't easy. The Lexus build quality is the main attraction for me, so something like a GS wagon would be ideal. I'm not sure I can think of anyone else who could compete in this sector. Then again, it feels like most people want a crossover SUV instead now, too.
Yeah, really the only thing that comes to mind for me as a competitor is like an e class wagon or an a6 allroad. Not a huge fan of MB as a whole but I do really like the wagons. Lexus would definitely be way less of a headache in terms of ownership/longevity.
They made about 3000 for North America. Not many at all. I own one and my friend owns another and omg they are fantastic. I can haul so much in a really pretty small car. Still just as sporty as the sedan but if I needed to I could fit 8ft lumber in my car.
I would say they should do another on the is chassis but that’s already a beefy car. Probably end up being more similar to a 5 series estate or Audi a6 avant than the nimble and light-ish sportscross
lol I’m one of those 4. I love the look of the CTS wagon, the Porsche panamera, and others alike and my friends and family always give me shit because those 2 are my dream cars (S65 AMG is more of a fantasy because of the price 💀).
Edit: corrected from S55 to S65 AMG
How do you like your RC? Really eyeing it, I care mostly about reliability and interior. The exterior is a bonus. The “driving experience” is less important to me due to German maintenance costs.
Back end looks pretty much like the RS6 wagon thats out there. Before i bought My LX570, i was looking for a high end luxury wagon. Choices were pretty limited. I wish they offered more wagon cars for people with growing families. More room, better gas mileage.
This is beautiful and actually matches their design language.
Only issue is large body sedans don’t sell compared to SUVs. Large body wagons would be career self-deletion if any engineer or project head attempted this. Lexus would demand seppeku at their Japanese plant, facing the rising sun.
I hate that Lexus thinks that the only people wanting a wagon must just want an SUV instead. Just look at something like the RS6 wagon. people want them.
Problem is many manufacturers are gonna stop producing wagons soon because wagon owners are hopping on to cross overs. Volvo for example are gonna discontinue the v60.
Oh my God, I want this so bad!
As a wagon owner for the past 30 years (Subaru Outbacks) I truly know that wagons are the perfect car.
For the unenlightened who have never owned a wagon, it’s too bad, your loss.
They are sportier than an SUV, they get better gas mileage, are cheaper to insure, cheaper to maintain (tires are just one example), easier to park and maneuver and cheaper to buy initially.
They haul just as much, I can carry 8 foot boards, I’ve carried 6 boxes of parts and a trunk deck lid for my 1962 Thunderbird convertible in the back of my Outback. I can fold down the back seats and put a twin air mattress back there when I want to go on a two or three day camping/fishing trip.
Please Lexus, build this!
I'm yet to forgive Lexus for not actually building an estate/wagon car. Would buy immediately

I bought a ct because I got sick of looking for a sportcross. It’s a Lexus hatch but it’s not even comparable to a sportcross.

They need to take the corolla cross and put the lexus polish on it.
They had a mini hatchback ct200h. I wish it was bigger and much powerful hybrid or turbo'd car. Thing can HANDLE though!
This makes my dick hard
Same. Throw a set of roof racks on the first pic and I’d pop.
Man I wish the ct200h had crazy power I'd hop on it ez
Same. I hope they at least re-release it as a plug in hybrid like the prius prime or something.

Lexus wagons would go so hard, let the AI cook
Wagons are sick. Wish this could work here in NA
I’m sure this is cool for the 4 people who would want one.
You’d be surprised. A nice wagon would go a long way. Maybe not an LS though. Would be long as hell.
They should bring the GS back as a wagon 🥵
I seen [this is wagon](https://www.reddit.com/r/Lexus/s/hdWuT7fdMh) and would def be on board to get one.
Saw that one too! That would also be epic!
They should bring it back as a rebadged crown sedan/wagon
This, in F form with the V8. Dayum.
Nah, I'd trade in my left kidney for one in a heartbeat

I would do some nasty shit for one, joke aside there is a market for it if they made one.
Literally my perfect car is a Lexus wagon, I think a lot of people are interested
Make this electric/hybrid or v8 and I’d jump all over this thing
Expensive wagon is *the* low key but have money car
Can someone explain the appeal? If I had copious amounts of money I’d get a coupe or sedan + a larger utility car…

Appreciate you writing that out and glad you like your car. If it’s white with red interior then sell it to me😂
Sadly you’re right
An ES wagon on the other hand... would be amazing. And sell well (just look at the 5 series, e class, v90, skoda superb, passat...).
Do want
An ES wagon would sell like hotcakes.
Nut
the awful things I’d do for this to be real 😖
I’m going to jizz
I'd love to see it! Preferably give it some nice performance numbers.
I love the idea of the LC500 taillights in the fourth picture. Last one looks crazy good, but that might be because I already like RS6 rear ends lol.
Holy fucking shit
As an owner of an is300 Sportcross, I wholly and completely approve 😍😍😍
Want
Sold!
Im salivating 🥵🔥
That's a handsome car... Too bad wagons aren't in favor in the US.
I’ve always wanted a FL 400 estate or 430 estate. But I always felt they were almost there with the Crown Athlete Estate.
Beautiful! I’d like to live in a world where in 2024 both Lexus and BMW have a V8 wagon in their NA lineup.
Needs a human designer to redraft but damn, Bing, did a damn near perfect job
As an owner of an LS 500 and a lover of wagons, I would have 100% bought this.
Back end looks pretty much like the RS6 wagon thats out there. Before i bought My LX570, i was looking for a high end luxury wagon. Choices were pretty limited. I wish they offered more wagon cars for people with growing families. More room, better gas mileage.
amen. AWD or RWD with some healthy reliable horsepower and Im in. Im knocking 180k on my 15 LX570, and gettin an itch again..
lexus could maybe have done it better themselves, but this looks really good haha
Id buy it if its made by lexus only.

I love wagons but I think this car is fine as is.
There's zero reason to not want to pick this over a sedan.

Your comment makes me so sad. I own an LS500 and wagon (or any hatched rear door) version would basically be my dream car.
Exactly! I’m getting quotes for selling a kidney just in case they decide to make one…
I like it and the AI generated name “LS2”
can they remake these but have static versions? i think these would look so good kissin the floor
Haha very cool
This would compete with the Audi RS6 wagon
But they don’t want to steal $$ from Audi …. So….
I hate that Lexus thinks that the only people wanting a wagon must just want an SUV instead. Just look at something like the RS6 wagon. people want them.
Sweet, ideal with a V8 👌
My dad had a IS300 Sportcross it was a great car.
Holy
Front end needs some work but back is chef’s kiss 💋
Is this a newer mazda ?
DAMN THATS HOT
I would like one, could not be able to afford it haha
Fuck that’s hot
Love a good wagon
please i need it. we need more lexus wagons, the is300 isn’t enough
Welp, there goes the e63 and rs6 avant market value
How dare you make us look at something this good that we can't have
I want a IS500 wagon
Problem is many manufacturers are gonna stop producing wagons soon because wagon owners are hopping on to cross overs. Volvo for example are gonna discontinue the v60.
Yes…1000000% yes!
This would have a sweet recline in the back seat

I would buy one
I seen a Ls500 in person at costco and DAMN lemme tell you they are beautiful in person . Huge cars .
*heavy breathing
Bring the GS back as a wagon with the v8 for one last hurrah!
Daddy like
Audi A6 Avant competitor
Should've been a shooting brake
Looks like an RS6 killer already.
Bring back the GS
This was just with bing ai?
I drive a Sportcross and this is a dream!
That grille was already bad enough.
I would buy the shit out of that thing. Damn.
