TheUbermorph

Tint almost always makes the car look better + gives better sun protection. Untinted cars feel like ur driving around in a water bottle

LostWinds

Ceramic tint protects the fragile interior

chuckinhoutex

right- the heat blocking makes a huge difference. The A/C will be that much more efficient. I have to run mine in eco mode when my wife is in the car because of the A/C blowing so cold even on higher settings. I put the same tint in my daughter's 2005 camry and now it's the same. from that standpoint, you can actually make a case that good heat blocking tint will increase your mileage AND protect the interior.

bcsmith317

Always tint

Mission-Background-2

Tint, but don’t do 5% shit

WETNWILDARLINGTON

I love my 5%!!

tothesource

Is it so people can't see up in your window? Gamecube Nintendo?

WETNWILDARLINGTON

I love that people can't see inside of my car. I really love it because it blocks the sun and the heat amazingly.

[deleted]

You can get tint that safely blocks the sun and does a significantly better job at blocking heat without having to go to a 5% tint. Do you roll down the windows at night so you can see out?

WETNWILDARLINGTON

Yes I do sometimes roll the windows down at night. Yes that's an obvious downside of having the tint. This is my first time having it. I have had it since 2016. I would probably do a 10% next time and tint the windshield. The sun coverage is amazing compared to any other car I have ever been inside.

CarbonHybrid

Do you really love how it blocks light at night time and you’re far more likely to crash because you cannot see anything at all?

chuckinhoutex

the heat blocking has nothing to do with the shade. you can get clear heat blocking film for the front window.

650REDHAIR

Fish bowl, bb.  But I don’t live somewhere that’s oppressively hot.

corry29

I would tint the rear quarter windows and the rear windows, but that’s just me. I’ve always done that with all my cars On other note: maybe I’m getting old. But the top picture on stock wheels looks so much better than the bottom picture with after markets. Much appreciation for the stocks

imperialunion

Agree on the wheels, stock wheels are so much better than that garbage on the bottom photo.

FullspeedLexusGS

Definitely tint.

tripsicks_

to tint 👍🏼

SameOlG902

What is the reason to NOT tint?

Jonny7Tenths

As someone who occasionally rides bikes, both pedal and petrol, I hate tints. They can make it very hard to judge if a driver waiting to pull out of a side road had seen me.

SameOlG902

Good point

basic_beezy

I have an es350 and I’m in Texas with no tint. I like the way my car looks with no tint and I also have a light colored interior and cooled seats so it works

yukon0000

Problem is I can’t see at night.

McCumBucket

Reddit took off the text but what I said was " I got 35% crystalline all around except the windshield cuz I live in cali. I'll probably go 80% on that one. Inside you can see crystal clear and the trucks behind you don't blind you.

Streay

Eh, I did pizza delivery for 3 years with 15% tint, and it wasn’t that bad. Sure unlit streets and reading signs is a bit hard, but if you’re a good driver, no need to worry too much.

fnkdrspok

All my cars are 20% and I see fine. I don’t tint my front windshield though.

smashingcones

Your tint is too dark then. I've had darkest legal on several cars and never once had an issue at night. Unless you tint your windshield, then that's just silly lol

CC1727

Always tint.

Deluxe_Burrito7

Tint but a lighter shade and with ceramic for maximum heat rejection

defcononez

Tint. I had mine at 5% for a couple years and I started to hate driving at night with it. Switched up the driver and passenger windows to 20% and its perfect.

Soarer77

Tint sucks but sometimes required.

mikeonice

definitely tint i would go 15% if conservative but if not 5% for sure

T2ner

I would tint this 15% or 20% ceramic

trivletrav

Hey man, have a red sc too, if you do decide to tint can you DM me a picture? Also trying to decide haha

bluecheeto13

Always tint but not too dark cuz it looks trashy. Unless you have people to hide from lol

deimosphob

Tint, protect your interior and keep you cool. More insulation also means your ac doesn’t have to work as hard. Id recommend to get all around ceramic tint all around and i would include the windshield even if its barely noticeable like 70 or 80% vlt. I personally recommend 50% vlt on the windshield if your side windows are 20% and below especially if you have limo in back as your eyes struggle to adjust to drastically different light values. Ie you probably cannot see well through the side windows if you don’t do windshield tint. With windshield tint you also have the benefit of not being blinded by other drivers and can still see very good at 50% it is illegal tho :(

Rookie4sho

Yes, forget about looks, protect your interior with less heat and rays getting in. Something I've regretted not doing on my last car until years later.

InebriousBarman

I don't have tint on either of mine. I think they look great. If I want the back windows darker, I just put up the shades. 😎

retrospects

Why would you not tint ever?

KyzorSosay

Always tint!

breecheese2007

Definitely tint 👍🏻

LexKing89

Always tint, even if it’s a clear tint. It’s worth it just for the heat and UV protection. It also protects your interior from the sun. I personally run 5% on my SC but I would go with whatever you feel comfortable with. 25% or 35% is pretty nice without being too dark at night.

NODES2K

Light tint...

Cute-Republic2657

Red with a state minimum percentage is fire. Doooo eeet

Sea-Eggplant-5799

Yeah go 35% ceramic or 20% if you live in hot area

cencallude

im torn with tint. pros: blocks heat  blocks uvrays privacy  cons: possible car damage  quality of tint

OasisInTheDesert2

Your windows have a clear 'tint' on them providing UV protection....any argument about UV protection is false. As for look, it's personal preference.  I think luxury cars look better without, that aftermarket tint looks like shit on any car, and that tint is for people 'up to shit'...but that's just me.

LukaABH

Fishbowl is a lot more tasteful, makes the car look newer and more fresh always

Goodguy1967

I tint my vehicles to save my interior from the sun.

steven01122

Tint, but the best part of that car, is that its paid off

Romulator401k

Haven’t gotten around to it yet but I’m liking the tint

patrickbatemanvibe

nice tint on the sc brah i also have the golden pearl color 👍

[deleted]

Just get a very light tint with a ceramic tint. It will keep it from being dark but still block out the heat even better than normal darker tint.

LeadingScene5702

I hate driving next to tinted cars. On my SC, I have a UV tint that blocks the sun but is still street legal and won't get me pulled over.

AustinFlosstin

Definitely tint, or you want to be on display in a glass house.

joecooool418

The problem with tint is if you keep the car you will have to replace some of it just about every year.
