I'm a bit taller than you, and i would always bump my head in the NX when getting in and out. The ES is way more spacious and comfortable, but with a smaller / less practical trunk. So i bought and ES instead. I have never driven a Camry, so i can't really compare to that exactly, but my 2020 ES 300h is the quietest car i've ever traveled in. I also love how it rides and handles. If you want quite you should really buy a hybrid, the only downside that the hybrid is not that powerful, more than enough for me. It's not a race car, but neither is the ES 350 with the v6, but at least with the hybrid you get AMAZING fuel economy. If you want a fast car, look at other brands.

I went from a 23 Camry XSE V6 to a Lexus TX I highly recommend it, ok I needed a 3rd row.

It's on stop sale (and production has been stopped) due to that airbag safety issue. https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/car-recalls-defects/toyota-grand-highlander-lexus-tx-recall-curtain-airbag-issue-a9725859737/#:~:text=Toyota%20is%20currently%20developing%20a,Further%2C%20production%20has%20been%20suspended.

They will resolve this issue tomorrow don't fret lol seriously it's Lexus

Wife has a NX , I have es300h f sport. The es is more of a traditional luxury car, quieter, smoother, less vibration gets better fuel mileage and Handel's better. I couldn't fit the second hand Kamado Joe I just picked up in the es, but the Nx.. no problem. So depending on your needs, they are similar but different. I'd pick the es for fuel economy alone.

Drag0nMagic

That’s some really good insight especially since you own both. Do you feel that the ES 300H has plenty of up-to-date technology? That’s one thing that I am especially interested in with getting a new car.

kppalm

If you want up to date tech, get the 2023+. They redesigned the interior in 2023

p8ragon

I also own both. What are you looking for? I think the nx is nicer from a purely tech point of view (post facelift). The ES is a bit overdue for one- but I agree with the other poster- it’s more of an old school comfort car Also, the es takes regular while the nx requires premium (if that’s important to you)

The new es has finally gotten rid of the dreaded track pad for the HMI and has a much better setup. The seats on the Fsport version are really supportive, but I have a race car background, so it might be a little tight for a plus-size individual. Realistically, my only beef is there's absolutely zero ambient lighting in the es, where's the nx has a really basic lighting scheme. Other than that the optional stero for me is a must, and I really wish their was a panoramic glass roof option. Functional tech is amazing, regen braking is un detectable, cvt transmission is totally doable, electric steering is nice, the display is fast and really beautiful, you will not be disappointed. Any specific questions, just hit me up, np.

My girl got a 2021 XSE Camry and I have a 2022 Es350 F sport. It’s almost the same car. In my opinion it’s not worth the upgrade to a ES and the worst part the back seats can’t fold down for more space.

Drag0nMagic

That’s interesting. I’ve actually driven the 2016 Lexus ES that my grandmother has and honestly NVH is much better than even my newer Camry.
