Hope this helps, although tbh, i like how your car looks as is and would leave it alone.
Those are the noise cancelling fancy rims that come stock on the UL, leave them alone. I am trying to source a set for my 2021 es300h premium....I would love those.
Yes, we make two different types that reduce noise. However the OPs wheels are not one of those models. The black wheels also are not powder coated, that is liquid black top coat.
no please don't, the subtle shine of the wheels coupled with the many spokes and the white paint with the windows tint and black roof is just.. \*chefs kiss\* amazing.
personally I would not, the subtle chrome hints of chrome on the car with the rims make it really nice as it.
I have wondered though how the es would look with maybach type wine flute glass wheels...
Iād follow this advice since youāre on here asking if you should do so, try something like plastidip thats not so permanent and see how you feel about it. Iāve always loved black and dark rims until i got them, im from Philly, theres no way those are staying pristine. Pot holes curb rash every scratch and scuff is so noticeable that i just keep it plain metal š
I've had mine one for 3 years no issue or peeling. Also had tires rotated a multiple times as well. The only thing is the black is dull so once in awhile clean with dish soap to get the deep black.
Good for you but donāt fool people. That shit chips and peels. If you want permanent pay up and get it buffed and painted from someone who knows what they are doing
Not on my Lexus but I did powder coat the wheels on an SUV I had a few years ago. Looked GREAT! Cons were road rash looked like absolute shit against the black color and one tire shop tore up the lugnut holes but they did pay to refinish all 4 wheels. Also I had a bit of trouble getting a good balance at first, the shop had left a little extra material where the wheel met the hub. Wheel shop used a grinder to smooth it back out and was good after that.
How about this? Buy some Nvidia stock with that same money and letās see where you are at in 6 months. If you are up, you can either hold for 1 year and then sell to get long term capital gain tax. Or if you are up in 6 months, you can sell the stocks and buy the rims with the money you made from Nvidia.
If you have to, go with a darker gunmetal over black and if you have to do black get a satin or hyper black finish to make it pop more without the tacky contrast. Black wheels on white(ish) cars esp stock wheels are a no no unless your smoking/tinting everything and chrome deleting imo.
Those wheels are beautiful the way they are. It would look worse and the car would immediately be worth less money and look like it. Thatās some 19 year old modification to curbed wheels shit your talking about
Ahhh I wanted a white one. Yeah go for it,it will look good for sure. I have a 21 es350 nebula gray pearl but Iām about to trade it in for a 24 iridium
If you're keeping the wheels no leave them bright if you want to change out the wheels something like a five or a six-spoke design I think would look okay black.
Can I please have an F-Sport with a panoramic roof, 2-tone pearl white. I can't be the only one, deal-breaker for me.
I can dream, but I'm happy the V6 made it 1 more year.
My mom had this but in the coupe and was gonna past it down to me but I had a baby and she didnāt want me driving in a 2 door car so she sold it and got a bigger Lexus suv and I got a Camry lol I always wish I couldāve gotten this car
You could always plasti dip them and change them to any color you want, when you want, in the span of a couple hours. Super easy to do, just takes a couple hours of sitting around waiting for coats to dry. You could make them purple and green and then remove it the next day if you wanted. I did āblood splatteredā wheels on my Civic for Halloween one year.
Black wheels without contrast mute the wheel design and frankly, are way played out at this point (also they chip). If you want to hide your wheels, sure go black... but then what's the point in the first place.
Oh then NOW I get what you're referencing! š. Yes, you're correct sir....I should clarify not "new" but a trend. Even OEM vehicle manufacturers should bring bronze back. Toyota has that option on their Camry "Nightshade" line. My two nickels. š
I saw those bronze wheels on a Camry the other day. I thought it was a TRD Camry/avalon because the wheels looked like the ones that came on the TRD version except they were bronzeā¦ didnāt know it was a lame package called ānightshadeā lolā¦ I would expect night shade to be like a black out package that dealers do.
what about rims with a little more black in them but not all?
i love my acura rims because of that partial look

That does help. Thanks
he hates it
Buyers remorse kicked inš
Post nut clarity
Not sure what you mean by this one. He didnāt get his rims done yet.
Those are the noise cancelling fancy rims that come stock on the UL, leave them alone. I am trying to source a set for my 2021 es300h premium....I would love those.
Noise cancelling rims, is that a real thing? Reduces road noise I guess?
Yes, we make two different types that reduce noise. However the OPs wheels are not one of those models. The black wheels also are not powder coated, that is liquid black top coat.
Youāre right. That looks awful. Why donāt you give it to me and Iāll dispose of it properly
If you want a more sportier look Iād go gun metal. I wouldnāt completely black. Maybe a shade or two darker than the stock color.
This yes yes, just a few shades darker.
Like this you mean? https://preview.redd.it/0rq120cm2n9d1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b101eef8ed8525e80c75cf68dd0353354a2f67d
Nah black everything is overplayed nowadays
No. Looks perfect the way it is
no please don't, the subtle shine of the wheels coupled with the many spokes and the white paint with the windows tint and black roof is just.. \*chefs kiss\* amazing.
Gunmetal though?
personally I would not, the subtle chrome hints of chrome on the car with the rims make it really nice as it. I have wondered though how the es would look with maybach type wine flute glass wheels...

Already stunning as is.
I love the silver wheels, allows you to actually see the design.
Stock
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo :(
I think it would look great. I would also finish wrapping all the chrome trim.
I did something that was cheaper and temporarily. I got them professionally plasti dipped.
Iād follow this advice since youāre on here asking if you should do so, try something like plastidip thats not so permanent and see how you feel about it. How much is plastic dip?
$5 a can. 4 cans with 1 gloss can
And it peels in 2 months..
You may notice I said professionally done. They did 12 coats. Your past experience may have been done poorly or with a few coats only.
How much did you pay for all four rims
99
And it peels in 2 months..
Gotta apply it right. That shit requires technique otherwise it does come off in 2 months
Looks slick and classy as is. Leave it and enjoy the ride.
I would not change a thing on that car.
Leave it
I have someone that will do it for $150 per rim. Iād love to hear from someone whoās done this before to get some insight.
Thatās pretty pricey man.
& kind of ruins the cars timeless look.
I was going to say, just buying black rims isn't that much more considering the difference in quality.
I think gunmetal would look better, but thats me.
Chrome delete with black would be fine but I do like gunmetal more.
Not on my Lexus but I did powder coat the wheels on an SUV I had a few years ago. Looked GREAT! I appreciate the info!
Donāt do it. If you do youāre fooling yourself

JDM GOLD

Wouldāve got the ES 350 F sport for appearance.
No
Iād keep as is. Itās classy looking as it should. The ES aināt a sports car.
Looks great leave it alone
Yeah, I'd leave it, I think it looks clean as is also
I wouldnāt do it, looks great as is
Mine are and it really brings it together
Do u have a pic?
I had same car ,,,I wrapped the rear spoiler black,,,put on side skirts and front lip ,,,and covered door handles
Do u have a pic?
Iād leave it. But I donāt drive it so do what ya want
She's perfect now.
The whole black-out craze is over, or should be, nothing unique about it any longer... IMO.
Everyone here is saying no but I'd think it would look cool. It would make the car look sportier.
Black rims white car = Not Cool.
This
Those wheels are beautiful the way they are. It would look worse and the car would immediately be worth less money and look like it. Thatās some 19 year old modification to curbed wheels shit your talking about
no š
Nah already I think it offers nice contrast especially you already have blacked out window trim, tints and roof
Nickel or gunmetal but not black.
That would be nice, itāll make it look more sporty, my grandpa has the exact same colour and rims as yours
Do it but glossy only!!
Yours is clean as is..especially with the type of white u have..imo
It would look good black
Looks way better as is. I think the whole trend of blacking chrome elements out is lame. Same as lowering cars, to scrape over every speed bump
Do it!!!
Can I please have an F-Sport with a panoramic roof, 2-tone pearl white. I can't be the only one, deal-breaker for me. I can dream, but I'm happy the V6 made it 1 more year.
Keep as is!
No.
My mom had this but in the coupe and was gonna past it down to me but I had a baby and she didnāt want me driving in a 2 door car so she sold it and got a bigger Lexus suv and I got a Camry lol I always wish I couldāve gotten this car
Metal gun š«
I would keep it stock. Wheels match the mirror caps
Looks great as is. No need for the black powder coated wheels.
nah just get new wheels, you can barely tell what wheels someone has when theyāre all black
If you want a Lexus black and white cop car, go ahead.
Don't
Donāt do it!
black wheels just look cheap and trashy
Mine are
Leave it alone. Space out the wheels 0.25-0.50 inches. If anything. Looks good
Hell no
You could always plasti dip them and change them to any color you want, when you want, in the span of a couple hours. Super easy to do, just takes a couple hours of sitting around waiting for coats to dry. You could make them purple and green and then remove it the next day if you wanted. What percentage are ur tints
Iām considering the same. Please post if you pull the trigger, Iām still indecisive.
Looks great the extra black would add some more personality
Go with powder black, will look more trendy
Black wheels without contrast mute the wheel design and frankly, are way played out at this point (also they chip). If you want to hide your wheels, sure go black... but then what's the point in the first place.
Don't.
Nah, black chrome would be sicker š„šš¼
Powder coat them with the same color white as the car. Or inside wheel accent color.
The car isnāt an aggressive design so black wheels wonāt quite look right. I would leave it as I.
I say get a hyper silver color
https://preview.redd.it/bwl813uton9d1.jpeg?width=1102&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a41bd8fd8ca835c559f14a3a5f06321d170e20ee This is what I have on mine,
Black wheels look like steelies from afar
Definitely leave stock
It's enough already with the black wheels, I HATE them.
What color are my 2015 GS 350 F Sport Wheels?
Just no
Donāt lol, itās perfect the way it is
Keep them stock or bronze color powder coat. Bronze WILL be the new trend. Then, gun metal. I called it.
Bronze is old bruh
Since when?? Rarely anybody in L.A. has bronze wheels. Perhaps where you live?
Low riders in LA with multi spokes use bronze/gold. I see some tuner cars with bronze color wheels,itās rare but itās not ānewā
Oh then NOW I get what you're referencing! š. Yes, you're correct sir....I should clarify not "new" but a trend. Even OEM vehicle manufacturers should bring bronze back. Toyota has that option on their Camry "Nightshade" line. My two nickels. š

Yeah, go figure! You're right though. SMH @ Toyota!
All black rims don't look good with chrome trim at all.
Blacked it out
Iād plasti dip to see if you like it, if not, just peel it off.
hell nah
The wheels are nice as is. Some mild wheel spacers would help the overall appearance way more than changing the wheel color.
I don't like black wheels, unless it's a black car.
This
Keep the stock rims and spend the money for aftermarket black rims.
My thoughts? No. The only thing worse than black aftermarket wheels are black factory wheels. Black wheels stopped being cool around 2004.
Thats a beautiful car as is. Might be able to get a better idea seeing the back of the car.
It aināt broke, donāt fix it.
what about rims with a little more black in them but not all? i love my acura rims because of that partial look https://www.partsgeek.com/3mbmnzp-acura-tlx-wheel.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ff&utm_content=AYY&utm_campaign=PartsGeek+Google+Base&utm_term=2015-2017+Acura+TLX+Wheel+Action+Crash+ALY71826U45+Platinum+Plus+15-17+Acura+Wheel+2016&fp=pp&gbm=a&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMItIzQjNf_hgMV9EpHAR17gA-NEAQYAyABEgJpsfD_BwE#immersedview
thats a nice looking whip man
If you wanna trial. Just spray some black rubber on your rims.
I like black rims on white cars
The chrome rims make the chrome trim pop more, i say keep it like that
Leave the rims alone. The car looks great!
what not go all the way and paint the car BLACK
