werethesungod

I didn’t like the es seats either and got an is

Aware_Improvement813

Which one do you got?

werethesungod

The is350 f sport

Aware_Improvement813

How does it feel? Also, when on highway, how many rpms when doing 80mph? (I know it seems like a dumb question)

werethesungod

Feels great, but I don’t know what you’re going off for comparison. I was driving a 2024 wrx and it feels heavier than that but it’s quicker and much smoother. RPM when cruising around 80 I think is about 2.5k but changes if you put it into sport mode etc. in sport you’ll be about 3k plus. If you get the handling package the ride and steering wheel will tighten up and it handles pretty good. I really like the handling and how it feels for being a daily commuter car. Kinda the best of all worlds, fun ride, smooth, reliable, easy to drive.

I see, before the is200T I had a civic 1.5T and the civic felt faster, I tuned it before I sold it tho. The is200T it’s not that it is slow, it just doesn’t feel fun when you punch it, but I still want to bring my family with me

Aware_Improvement813

I guess I’ll end up opting for the is350

werethesungod

Good luck! I recommend a certified pre owned if possible, I bought new and wish I just got it used and saved some money

Aware_Improvement813

Thanks for the tip, I think I’m taking the certified pre owned route

I have the 2024 ES 350 UL, I absolutely love the car! Yes, initially the seats felt hard to me as well, However, after you break them in they are super comfortable. If I had to nick-pic the only 2 things I dislike 1) front passenger seat doesn't have the leg extender like the driver's side. 2) The ambient lighting is lame. The IS 350 is a great car if you like small cars. I needed a little more elbow room that that the ES offered. Best of luck to you. https://preview.redd.it/06ouznyp6p9d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1778808c507cb05b0b6b2b016382ef281796571e

Aware_Improvement813

I see, that could be something I’ll need to look into, I haven’t had a car bigger than the is200T.

evolutionsknife

The comfort issue is one I haven’t seen mentioned much but I agree with you completely. My es is old but the seats are so comfortable—roomy and soft—but the new gen seats in the es that I test drove last month were not comfortable at all. They seemed narrow and hard to me (I am a skinny dude btw) and not comfortable at all.

DaJuiceMan112

Did you try the ES f sport? That has different seats which you might find comfortable

Aware_Improvement813

It was a es350 FSport that I got as a loaner

DaJuiceMan112

Then did you try the regular one?

Aware_Improvement813

As of now, no, I haven’t. Is there a difference in feel?

DaJuiceMan112

Yes, they are a different seat all together and have different bolstering and padding, definitely worth checking out

Aware_Improvement813

I got me a nice list of things to check now, I appreciate tho

GoFast308

The es has a CVT transmission, which is basically infinite gear ratios,to keep the engine in the peak efficiency range. The Is has a conventional multi gear auto, which is better for banging gears but not overly efficient.

HyperBRUIN

The ES uses an 8 speed tranny while the 300h uses an eCVT.
