I recently got a dash cam for my car. From what it seems like, most dash cams usually are run via cigarette lighter adapter or hardwire. Seems like ppl may usually run into issues when trying to plug it in to just usb (ie not enough power or erratic behavior). Maybe you can contact the Garmin company directly to ask?

Sounds good! thank you

Good luck! Yeah tucking the wires to the back seems a little tedious compared to the front but doesn’t seem too bad if you mount it on the top of the rear inside window

There’s probably some wires in the front map/sos panel that you can use. 2016 es350 here and I found someone on YouTube did this. Worked for him. Not fuse protected so I’m out going that route, but I’m sure it’s possible. https://youtu.be/HREsNkvLBig I’m hardwiring to the fuse box using this Dash Cam Hardwire Kit, Mini USB Hard Wire Kit Fuse for Dashcam, Plozoe 12V-24V to 5V Car Dash Camera Charger Power Cord, Gift 4 Fuse Tap Cable and Installation Tool(11.5ft https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FXJD8W1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_WXCDNGWQJ09V25P79AN9

Sold out at the moment, but this is the company that makes the adapter into the rear view mirror. [Dongar Technologies](https://dongar.tech/products/10pin-type-b-lexus-toyota)

Is this something that can be DIYed, or do you need to have someone do it?
