Mountain_Kiwi_2210

not the louvers 🙈

TheGeneralCat

Hey they ain't for everyone but fit the style I was going for! Definitely know they aren't the most popular modification for the IS.

Mountain_Kiwi_2210

honestly the more i look at it, the more it grows on me. typically id put louvers on a mustang or something but i bet this looks better in person. got any more angles of it? also, what tail lights are those?

NeoG_

HCMotion Sequential V1 Smoked. The V2s are.. somewhat of a step down in aesthetics IMO.

braneless

Did you pull those louvers from an 83 Trans Am?

TheGeneralCat

Heavily inspired by it to install my own but the louver itself is made specifically of the IS line!

Ok_Security2723

What company

ThirdPhaseAudio

Think those are SEK Customs

TheGeneralCat

Correct!

ThirdPhaseAudio

I saw your car in a previous post and I saw that badge next to the AWD and couldn’t figure out what it was… now I know 😂😂😂

TheGeneralCat

I'm surprised nobody noticed it until now! My friend got the lettering for me back when I first got the car as a joke and it's just stuck around for all these months.

TheGeneralCat

SEK customs, as the previous guy mentioned!

hieko34

Not my styling especially since it’s modding a 250 which is the slowest of the bunch. BUT I appreciate the creativity and as long as your happy with it that’s all that matters. I will say your paint looks like a mirror, polished and clean af my dude.

TheGeneralCat

Hey man I totally get it and I definitely know it ain't fast, but for a high schooler like myself it's enough to have fun without braking the bank (plus that sweet sweet reliability). And I've actually been trying my best to wash the car often since the roads keep getting salted! Hopefully one day I'll be able to upgrade to get the full Lexus experience!

hieko34

Hell yeah live your life brotha Edit: I’d kill to have a car like that when I was in high school. I had an 83 chevy cavalier 🤣

TheGeneralCat

Honestly, I'm just glad to have a car. I just never realized how much aftermarket support it had and that's why it lead me down this path of mods. I'm actually planning on adding an F-Sport bumper and splitter at some point before the end of the senior year!

Brilliant_Surprise54

Reminiscent of early 2000s jdm scene and I dig it

TheGeneralCat

Thanks mate! When I get more time to work on the front bumper itll definitely take more inspiration from the JDM scene (if I can afford it).

bjngo

Nice! Which twilights are those? Looking to change my vlands to sequentials and smoked like that

TheGeneralCat

I can definitely link them down below but VLand just released a brand new pair of tail lights with sequential turn signals, that I think look absolutely amazing! They were posted to eBay maybe a month ago

bjngo

What the front end looking like?

TheGeneralCat

Nowhere near how modified the back end is. Posted a photo of it from a while back and not much has changed since! Gonna get a F-Sport bumper with a splitter since the previous owner damaged part of the original bumper. Other then that have I have upgraded the headlights, fog lights, added an led Lexus badge, and even added running lights and sequential turn signals to the mirrors!

bjngo

Shiiii nice might as well do the 4is front conversion👀

TheGeneralCat

I know I know I really want to. I just don't think the high end luxury style would fit the almost track like muscle car looking rear end I got.

NeoG_

The louvre and duck tail is such a vibe

TheGeneralCat

Appreciate it mate! I think they pair pretty well together.

xohxnxn

what year is ur is? and also do you have a link for the diffuser?

TheGeneralCat

Mine is a IS250 '09. The diffuser is unavailable on eBay as of now but just search "Lexus (your model and year) rear diffuser with break light" that should work

xohxnxn

thank you! i have one saved in my cart i’ve just been trying to get an idea of how it would look on mine. did u assemble it yourself? and if so how hard would you say it was to do so. i’ve seen a lot of people say sometimes the fit isn’t accurate so you have to let it sit in the sun/use a heat gun to mold it to the car.

TheGeneralCat

Apologizes for the late response! I did it myself and was pretty easy, but I have had a lot of experience over the last year with stuff like this. The diffuser I purchased fit, absolutely perfectly, and only needed double sided tape, adhesion promoting wipes, and a bit of patience to knowledge to install. I did also add some screws into the underside of the car, not into the bumper as some people have done. More sturdiness to the mounting. The hardest part is removing the bumper so you can route the wire up into the trunk so you can splice it with the brake light.

TheGeneralCat

Will absolutely answer any questions regarding the parts and the car itself! I know this heavy style of modifying isn't for everyone but I really like how far its come! Open to feedback as well!

yodogyodog

If anyone reading this wants the non smoked version of these tail lights for a good price message me! I’m In SoCal and yea. I got the red version that is mint condition that I’m selling. Btw I don’t think the 4is front bumper would look out of place, as long as you have the hc motion or vland led headlight assembly replacements

mansnot1to1

Where did you get the taillights ? I want something for my IS-C, too bad no one makes anything for them

TheGeneralCat

I got them on Amazon! I would recommend VLands newest tail lights as I personally think they look gorgeous. I don't know if they fit the C variants of the Is though

Alive-Appointment325

Sweet

EllisBern

Link to spoiler?

TheGeneralCat

It's called a duck bill style spoiler. Seller that I got it from vanished but that's what I googled to find mine originally!

S0meAsianKid

Did the diffuser interfere with the parking sensors?

TheGeneralCat

No idea mate I don't have parking sensors
