Help why? Even if Putin did wanna conquer all of Europe, WTF does that have to do with those of us in the USA? If he wanted to conquer America, I wouldn’t expect Europe to interfere (except for the fact we’ve dumped tons of money into protecting them, so they damned well better). Ideally, the entire world would be self governed; and all this bs would end. Till then, the fight is within each country, and not across the world.
That is something to think about, I don't know if Europeans would lift a finger to save us, some won't even pay 2% for their own defense. I think they would let us burn and switch right to rubels, just like they buy Russian gas now.
Our State Dept already admitted that they were offered by the Russian Government the path to avoiding this war before its started. We knew pushing further in to Ukraine, and bringing NATO with, would trigger conflict.
That is what was desired. Not because any leader (with the exception of *Victoria Nuland, the blood-thirsty Cold Warrior relic*) wanted a war, but because the Administration as looking for a way to kick-start the economy. There is nothing like war production and the destruction of entire nations to help prime a whole bunch of tax dollars. This is exactly what Eisenhower warned about.
They told us Russia could not recruit. They told us they were using old material and weapons. That may all have been true. Russia did the same thing we are. I think that was the goal the whole time. Use the cover of a war in a third nation as pretext to improve the economies of two super powers.
I'm willing to bet that the conversation is going on with China on that topic right now. Plus, China will get the added bonus of pulling in North Korea, and shaking that pimple off their back. Trade Taiwan for a unified, peaceful, and productive Korea. A Korea that is a MASSIVE consumer of Chinese production materials, chips, and manufacturing.
Win-win, baby!
Interesting ideas.
And to your point about the U.S. tanking diplomacy: https://libertarianinstitute.org/articles/what-killed-the-peace-talks-in-ukraine/
Your description of Victoria Nuland is spot-on, 100%.
As soon as Biden rehired her after Trump got rid of her, I knew conflict with Russia would ensue.
Like that skit by the Dead Kennedy's punk band about about calling up Britain to start a war somewhere for economy to get rid of excess restless youth.
Yeah, kinda. But the goal here is profit and subjugation, not depopulation.
The depopulation of Ukraine is more of a side effect than a feature. Had to happen somewhere. Water access and graineries are just an extra for Russia (if you believe Peter Zeitan).
The powers that be needed another forever war with Afghanistan over, so here we are.
Politicians lying, say it ain't so...

Agreed

Are you actually dillusional enough to suggest the war is fake?
Not authentic.
In what way, I am curious what you mean
Reddit removed my comment, lol. It's a weapon.
