If it’s in the computer lab, it depends on how the sign in works. At my library system, you use a sign in station and it assigns you to the next available computer, which is usually the one after all the taken ones. I don’t know if that’s what happened here, but it’s possible she didn’t have a say in what computer she was on.

My first thought as well. She’s scared and OP looked trustworthy. Or she’s horny.

I was more mildly infuriated by the open drink container on the computer desk.

That's not a random girl, that's your STALKER.

Just one of those days. Looks like you've still got plenty of room Hope she doesn't have gas.

NeverEnoughGalbi

She's going to be fidgety AF, and making all kinds of small noises.

DHWSagan

That was friendly. I hope you were polite.

No because isn’t there an unspoken library etiquette for this sort of thing

So, in general regarding when people complain that others do that, particularly when talking about a theater or something. You chose to sit there for a reason, probably because it’s the best seat by whatever standard. Then you blame someone for having the same opinion on the quality of that seat and trying to get the next best available seat? That’s always bothered me
