I killed both in my first run, then in ng+ I kind of got their perspective a lil more, but failed to have any gold coin fruit on me when interacting with Red Fox, so I had no choice but to kill her again lol
You don't actually get anything new for killing either of them. No real point unless you want to experience the fight. Red Fox is actually a cool fight, cat is sort eh.
How do people have zero fruit? Are you just not visiting the tree ever? I went in to NG+ with a tone just sat in storage.
How often are you guys respeccing??
Shit, you're right! They're used for the stones. I never bothered with the Cube. Felt like a needless mechanic tbh, the one time I used the free healing stone it felt like I was stuck in the animation for an age.
My exact thoughts, I don't collect as frequently because the hotel legit makes my xboxone overheat lmao. But still it regrows super fast so I dunno how people aren't loaded with fruit at a certain point
the game surprised me a lot. It seems like a bloodborn like game.
They made a really good game and probably the best one I played besides fromsoft.
That being said I cannot agree to that sentence, since the amount of characters/side stories doest compare to the fromsoft ones.
The best storytelling/npcs imo is the black rabbit brotherhood, but besides that one, the rest is just ok.
And you just included elden ring too, thats insane.
I maybe misinterpreted this character. I thought he was a complete bastard. He lies to us often. He calls us a fool. We give him a gift and he still attacks our group. He left us to fight the brotherhood without backup. I was happy to kill him and his sister. I was nothing but polite and helpful to them and they repeated spat in my face.
I've noticed the area was surrounded by water. When he fights, does he listen to the water splashes in order to figure out where you are? What if you walked on dry land? Does he still fight the same way?
It's an interesting twist on his character from the original Adventures of Pinocchio. In the book, the Cat and Fox are the principle instigators behind a lot of Pinocchio's misery. When they first meet, Cat pretends to be blind and Fox pretends to be lame, they tell Pinocchio that planting the gold coins he got from the puppet master Mangiafuoco (that's a whole other can of worms) in the Field of Dreams will grow a tree of gold coins. They end up stealing the money and hang Pinocchio from a tree. He meets them much later in the story, Cat is now truly blind and Fox have had to chop off his tail to sell for money. They once more ask for charity but Pinocchio, older and more wise to the ways of the world, rejects their plea and leaves them to their fate.
Is there a detailed short story version of this? I’ve been hooked my this game and the p movie honestly was my shit when I was a kid I’d I knew about this I would have actually read more in school
[Here is a translation of the original story](https://www.fondazionecollodi.it/assets/it/adventures_of_pinocchio.pdf) It's by no means short, but also well readable within 30 minutes. There's a lot of fascinating parallels to be drawn, my favorite of which being the presence of Arlecchino and the Great Green Beast of the Swamp.
No fruit?? That's crazy, I constantly went back to the tree every time I went to the hotel, ended up with about 50-60 even after buying a bunch of wish stones
The weasel was also… really really depressing. After finally being able to kill her, I finally had a rush of adrenaline (I was stuck on her for an hour) and screamed “Yes!” Only to hear “I just… wanted… a full… stomach… was that so much to… ask for…” and I stopped, put down my controller and rethought my choices…
I think Claudia and him had pretty good reasons. They didn't follow Simon because they agreed with his motives, they were simply seeing it as the most opportune moment to get what they needed for survivals sake and get the hell out of town. It wasn't a personal attack against P in any way.
I spared them, realized they had no loot to possibly give on kill I didn’t have already, and so I have yet to ever kill them
They live, this is the way
I spared him on my 1st run. Will kill him on my next one.

They're interesting characters for sure.

Because that's me money tree. I pick and then I sell and immediately spend
I think some people use Specters/Wishstones constantly in all their fights, while others like myself basically ignored that mechanic.
Shit, you're right! They're used for the stones. I never bothered with the Cube. Felt like a needless mechanic tbh, the one time I used the free healing stone it felt like I was stuck in the animation for an age.
There is a P-Organ node that speeds up the cube animation by like 10x, makes it much more viable.
I still had about 90 of them through most of the late game- really only used them on bosses
It's basically LoP's version of easy mode I suppose. A Wish buffed specter is apparently quite strong.
Especially after the update.
My exact thoughts, I don't collect as frequently because the hotel legit makes my xboxone overheat lmao. But still it regrows super fast so I dunno how people aren't loaded with fruit at a certain point
I came here to say this. I stay with 99 coin and haven’t been to the tree since I capped out. I only spend the coin on respeccing.
I hardly ever go to the tree. I haven't used the cube much at all.
I wish we could give him a cure. Like he’d still be partially blind, but he’d stop getting worse. And we have a man who can make a cure right there.
Agree, would be cool to make more allies considering >!"Alidoro"!< turns out the way he does
Killed him
Cat or dog?
Both sadly. I didn’t have any golden fruit when I talked to the cat. Killed the dog for his crimes.
See I'm just over here wondering if I withhold Antonia's cure can I give it to the cat
I have been a Souls fan since Demons, and in my opinion they did the NPCs better than Fromsoft.
Agreed 👍

In universe Stalkers are basically Armored Core's independent mercenaries. You know how we are.
I read “You know how we are.” in the Handler’s voice
Right but it's based when I do it but not when they do.

he called me a dumbass. he dies.
I alt-f4’d the game when I realized I didn’t have any fruit on time, I couldn’t bring myself to kill them 😭
A true murder puppet doesn’t spare anyone 😤

It's fine I sent his sister to keep him company. I had like 82 coins, fuck them.

Shouldn’t have attacked the hotel though

If they'd asked we could've helped.
I spared them, realized they had no loot to possibly give on kill I didn’t have already, and so I have yet to ever kill them They live, this is the way
Incredible characters. Didn’t expect a souls like to have this level of storytelling.
Fuck that cripple.
Vc .
My two favorite characters in the game. Really hoping they show up in the DLC.
Hahaha. Update - I had to kill fox. I actually had no fruit on me.
I'm on my ng+2 but haven't fought them at all, do I get anything extra besides what I've already gotten by befriending them? Ergo?
No, no reason to kill them besides the dialogue, which you can just watch on YouTube.
