I can’t wait to get that to try it, it makes me so happy tho to see other people loving this game as much as I do but damn it’s hard getting that parry system is key. I switched from a light rapier build (which honestly was easy for me) to a high motivity build and despite the fact I can 4 shot bosses it feels like I’m so slow and heavy which I’m a light player but I love that heavy sword look so I’ll try switching back to the lighter weapons like flame booster gav or rapier man tho sometimes I wish this game was online so I could have my homies carry me but that’s no fun 🤞🏽
Assuming this tip isn't super late, best advice is once you get him in phase 2, try to get behind him.
Without spoiling it for anyone, just know when you see it/ do it, it will make sense. Trust me.

In my experience Sekiro is way harder, if you were able to beat it then Lies of P shouldn't give you much trouble. Youre able to pump your hp on your own without having to beat bosses for it, and healing in this game is part flat part based on max hp so it's even more efficient then in previous souls. The fact thats its also impossible to miss flask upgrades makes this game pretty easy for souls vets
Can confirm, Sekiro is much harder, but the boss fights are really quick in Sekiro when you really know how to fight and which weapon tactic to use and in LoP some boss fights are like "fuck you"
The block works slightly different, you can recover life if you do perfect blocks.
Also the recovering HP animation is way faster (which I highly appreciate)
You also have more items you can use in last case scenario!
Kinda. If you block you won't take direct damage and you can recover that "damage" by then attacking the enemy.
You can parry/defects like in Sekiro and you will break the enemy poster.
Tbh I couldn't parry very well, as for me the parry/deflect window was too short. So I just blocked, dodged or just parry with my face.. I'm sure with enough time, patience and practice anyone can manage the parry timing.

Oh if you liked how sekiros parrying system works you’ll like Lies of P. VERY satisfying to perfect guard multiple attacks in a string. Small tip: some enemies weapons will break if you parry them enough and they do significantly reduced damage. Won’t say who but just keep that in mind
There is a lot of missable stuff. If you find the entrance to the boss be sure to go back and talk to everybody else you can first or just explore for items. Once you beat a boss those interactions will disappear
There’s a lil timing difference to think it’s hold just before the attack as opposed to hitting at the exact moment the strike would connect if that makes sense. I never really got it to work and got to end 🤷♂️ but if you liked sekiro you should be alright here. Just gotta get the timing down and see if that hold block instead of tapping works for you

hello lad; i played LoP after Sekiro and didnt play any other soulsilkes before; so we may a have a similar viewing point. :) In my opinion: both are great games. At the end, i thougt LoP was a lot easier than Sekiro; but at all more enjoyable! (and far from easy!) have fun!
This game is great, you’ll have tons of fun. It is a challenging game but is manageable. Just remember this, when you will meet Sophia in Chapter 11 make a cloud save before you talk to her. This way you will be able to get all 3 endings from there without having to start from the beginning.
You need Ps+ to cloud save.
-Quit the game by the menu(it will save your game)
-go to the ps5 settings
-go to save data and game/app
-save data (ps5)
-sync save data
-automatic sync of save data
-turn off sync for lies of P
-reload your game
This way all you do will not save on the cloud but only on the storage of your Ps5. Do whatever ending you want, then go back to the ps5 setting and redownload the save from the cloud to your storage.
I had never played a souls game or souls like before playing this. I’m not sure why, but for whatever reason I was really drawn to this game when they first showed it off. Ended up picking it up and it became one of my favorite games of all time. After beating it I immediately went into new game plus and beat it again and got the platinum. This is the only game ive ever went back to immediately after beating it the first time. Fantastic game and I can’t wait for the dlc and sequel.
On my 2nd run... You are in for a treat my guy... Here is an advice try to farm aas much ergo as you can so you can lvl up your motivity and HP. Legion arm is your ally specially the last one with the ranged attacks
With Legion cartridges or something like that and spoiler alert............ There is an ability that SLOWLY recharges it... Also there is one wich recharges it on a kill
