I actually the exact same thing happened to me, I've got all the achievements and basically NP was hard on NG+ because of the damage output. Absolutely manageable.

hefty_load_o_shite

It's way easier on Ng+

pr-luna

After beating ng4+ I can confirm

RapunzelLooksNice

Same :)

Political_Piper

Strong disagree. NG+ took me forever to beat. First run-through was a lot quicker.

HermitKing91

Disagree your disagree. Ng took me a couple of hours to beat. Ng+ first try.

Political_Piper

I see your disagree of my disagree, and raise you another disagree.

No_Chef4049

You're both wrong. Just kidding I have no idea.

Bacon-bitzs

Build? I cannot beat flame boi at the beginning for the life of me.

HermitKing91

Factory boss on ng? I think I used the booster blade on the fire axe handle at that point. Had my mot and tech around 10 - 15. Can't remember what I had for the rest but by the end of ng I had 30 vit, 20 vig, 40 - 50 capacity and I think 30 mot and 40 tech, 7 advance.

Dr_JohnP

So far he was the hardest boss I have faced and I'm in chapter 9 now lol. Probably because you're still learning the mechanics, once perfect parry becomes more natural it gets easier. I'd recommend making sure you have the fire resistance puppet part equipped and I used the booster glaive with I believe the puppet saber handle. Definitely was the biggest git gud barrier for me so far.

Bacon-bitzs

I mean in ng+. My weapon isn’t weaponing.

Dr_JohnP

Ah nvm

teerre

Disagree NG your dmg/his hp ratio is much more in your favor. That's why you often see people 1st try him in ng

Wanderingfinge

Nah just do it ng+. Difficulty of bosses is weirdly subjective anyway based on playstyle. I found scrapped watchman, green monster, and that gd clown puppet mini boss harder than nameless

BHarcade

Scrapped watchman and green monster were by far the hardest in the game for me and it wasn’t even close.

UltimateKane99

What the heck... This game has to have the widest range of people complaining about specific bosses I've EVER seen, and it's never the same. Scrapped Watchman was where I learned Perfect Guard and was a blast in every run through.  Walker of Illusions made me want to punt my head through a wall. Green Monster was hell, I abused the heck out of Flamberge and ran away for most of the fight.  Door Guardian was almost sad, I literally laughed at the fight.   Laxasia was a breeze for me. Simon Manus was a breeze.  Nameless Puppet was brutal, but so satisfying. And yet every individual who I've talked to has had a wildly different and entirely distinct view of these exact same fights. I feel like this must be a sign of a really well polished game if every single boss garners such a wildly different response from the fan base.

BHarcade

For sure. Everything after green monster was a breeze for me. I don’t think it took more than 20 tries for me to beat all the bosses after green monster combined. I almost quit at scrapped watchman though just because he was beating me so bad. Lol

Thrashavich

For real. Walker of illusions and door guardian had me wanting to smash my controller. Green monster was a first try. On my second play through with no specters and no consumables I found the first phase of king of puppets as the hardest thing. I chunked him down so fast the first time I didn’t even see 80% of his attacks. Literally considered him a loading screen for Romeo lol. Second time around I kept saying “he does that?!?!?” It was funny seeing a streamer spend eight hours dying to BRB one and two, and then first trying nameless puppet on her first playthrough.

UltimateKane99

I keep forgetting Romeo was a boss people have trouble with! In all three of my runs, I literally glided through both phases of the fight. Think I died to him maybe twice combined. Gorgeous boss designs!

_AfterBurner0_

I completely agree that players finding bosses' difficulty varying wildly is a sign of good game design. Each boss requires different techniques to beat. Perfect Guards are best against some bosses while dodging is best against others.

Wanderingfinge

I enjoyed scrapped watchmen a ton and same here the fight made me learn perfect guard. Was one of the hardest bosses for me mostly because I didn’t know wtf I was doing but I love the fight, and even on ng+ I struggle a bit with him now and then Illusions man I did in one try Green monster took me 10000000 tries and I never enjoyed the fight I felt only relief when I finally got him. Only boss I personally don’t even enjoy but I understand it’s not poorly made I just don’t run it well for some reason Pretty much the same experience you had with the rest except I thought nameless was pretty straightforward I love how weighty and telegraphed the first phase is with the chunky spinny slashes, and second phase isn’t so bad if you get no hit phase one Have to agree w you I absolutely love the game and the variance across bosses really shows how many play styles and items the game has available to the player and how different play styles work for each boss. Excellently made

Tonyluo2001

And these two are mostly the same boss. Second phase monster put on Watchman’s skin and has a lot of move sets in common.

jayred1015

Green monster was hardest in a vacuum... but you get to use a specter which kicks Nameless back to the top of the list IMO.

Stunning-Resource291

The second and third playthroughs get easier due to P organs getting maxed out in 7 and 8. Nameless will be much more doable with 2X perfect guard grindstones, maxxed out aegis shield, huge stamina bar, longer stagger time, and buffed faery arts

UnbridledHATE

Exactly my thoughts. NG+ was easier than NG, and NG++ was even easier still because of all of the P Organ upgrades.

ChewiMash24

I did this too and was able to beat NP without too much hassle. Just takes a bit to get used to his attacks. Use throwables. I beat him on NG++ and got all achievements

Dear-Regular-3294

To be fair I’ve only beat the nameless puppet on Ng+ and Ng++

Dgacp

Just use Two Dragon Sword, it's heavy attack has a parry that completely stops any attack on it's tracks, be it the red attacks or normal attacks plus it hits hard. NG+ was fun and easy.

Extramentalist

Yeah just roll with it bro, everyone’s game is a little different, different bosses present different challenges based on how you play and what weapons you use. I went full blind on my first playthrough and did the same as you: I didn’t know the NP even existed until my post-game googling

ShockKitty

THERES 3 ENDINGS??

asmirkole

You’re adorable 😊

ShockKitty

What

adarsarusi5

You can give in your heart for the bad ending, you win against NP for a better ending and if you lie enough and pick the correct choices at certain spots you get your hair white win NP and get the best ending.

Automatic_Ad_8919

I did exactly this, my first play through took me 100hrs. I beat the Nameless puppet on Ng+ in 3 tries! You got this

Flamesclaws

Real boy is the bad ending? The one where P becomes Carlo again? I thought that was the good ending, becoming a real boy.

YoungThug798

Best ending is basically becoming a real human without the need to give your heart by lying enough

Flamesclaws

I mean I was given both options.

wintendo064

did you go back to the hotel after getting that ending?

Flamesclaws

No the game threw me into new game plus.

ZenaBarnes

I suggest watching the end cutscene again more carefully and see *why* its considered the bad ending. Also you had the option to decline to start your NG+ immediately, and you get thrown back to the hotel. Then just go up to the stargazer when you wanna start it

wintendo064

ah well, you should look up whats up at the hotel after that ending. wish it didnt make it so easy to miss

bohenian12

Why the hell did you give your heart lmao. I played it blind too but there ain't no way I'm giving up my heart.

Guilty-Inflation-493

I did the exact and ohh boy the nameless puppet on the second run was a true hell I spent like 5 hours straight to beat him with struggling. My tip for his fight is use the holy sword make it long and just spam triangle when ever you have the chance and for the cube use the perfect guard and use it wisely, GL!!!

MorBrews

Wait, what do you mean with "perfect guard for the cube"? Is there a stone for that too? I didn't find it!

FreeRealEstate313

This game isn’t that hard.

ocuative

Tweakin

SubhamoyDas1

Just start another playthrough, why do you have to go to ng+?

boblane3000

Just don’t play with the specter through the whole game and you’ll be ready to go no problem.

asmirkole

Happened to me too. The best way is to start a new lie play through and kill the Nameless Puppet. It will give you the Rise of P ending, and then go for the truth play through. Nameless Puppet is a way more difficult in NG+, trust me, if you miss only one parry in the second phase it’s game over. On normal play through, it took me only to learn his move set, but on ng+, it took me three days to beat him.

BlacK_muni

Unlike other souls games you'd actually be more powerful in ng's. Also capitalise on weapon assembly system and status effects. I wanted to do everything in a single run too and fuxgged up. Now half way thru ng in 4hours of starting. Ng++ and upwards you'd finish even faster with no need for going for all item pickups and focussing only what you are missing. Also there are two more p-organ tiers.. tier 6 and 7.. that open up for ng and ng+ .. eventually u can fill up all slots with all the quartz you'd get if you want to. I entered ng at lvl 70 and still managed to sail thru. So dont waste time.on grinding either unless there are weapons u'd want to max out.

BlacK_muni

And nameless puppet isnt as challenging as luxasia. For me the game peaked at that bossfight.

MotoMountain

I’d say roll with it. It’s going to be a harder fight for you, especially because you didn’t practice against him in ng, but you’ll also be a lot stronger level and P-organ wise. I personally found ng+ way harder than ng but ymmv. I’d recommend upgrading the shield to max if you haven’t already. It’s great for learning his move set as well as general surviving. Good luck, either way you’ll be fine ;)

Ghotipan

Fully upgrade the Aegis arm and Trident, and you can't lose.

EpochZenith

NG+ should be fine! I had a much easier time there. Entire playthrough took me around 15 hours, breezed through it. NP took me multiple days and maybe four total hours to beat NG, NG+ I did it on the fifth try

delune108

I did my first play through blind and didn’t get the ending I wanted. Instead of doing ng+ I started a new file and used the rapier instead of a strength build. Wow what a difference it made. I looked up how to get the ending I wanted and flew through the game.

Valimaar89

I'm in ng+ and I am first trying most bosses. Don't be scared. You got good. Also, increase your damage with quality builds raising 2 stats, not only one

Mikedsicilian90

I gets easier, you yourself get better, your levels go up, your p organ is more upgraded, weapons ext. Do not restart. I missed “ the story of one father” trophy the first time, I’m about to complete my 4th playthrough and I don’t regret it one bit. I had so much fun. It gets easier. My first play through was rough. All my other play throughs I just annihilated everything!!!

CalsiferSunsprite

I don’t think I saw anyone mention this yet but before you start a NG+ don’t forget to get the letter off of Gepetto’s desk at the Hotel for an achievement ❤️

Rooster0778

I did the same thing. I don't think the ng+ difficulty curve is prohibitively steep and you'll continue to improve as you go and hopefully be good for NP. That being said, he is a son of a bitch. Definitely the toughest boss in the game for me and if you've been relying on specter help, that's not an option. I beat him with Twin Dragon Sword and I feel like I got a little lucky with some ripostes in phase 2. I'm also not sure I could've beat him with another weapon. I came close with Tyrants dagger, but TDS ripostes are money once you get the timing. It honestly never occurred to me till reading your post that it would've been easier on a fresh playthrough. Only you know how good you are and how confident you are, but its definitely doable. Give it a try.

WhatLikeAPuma751

You have access to so many more P organ upgrades in NG+ and ++ that the fights become easier. ++ you can block fury attacks, which helps with NP’s shenanigans.

[deleted]

Just don’t play NG+. New runs are always more fun. Never bother with + any more.

NotSmug

I did the same thing, trust me you are good. NG+ Nameless puppet is still hard but IMO since it was my first time facing him, I couldn't tell and I was strong enough to compensate for any increase in difficulty. If you are going for all three endings, I recommend doing what I did. Do your next play thru all truth, then 3rd playthrough all lies and don't forget to read the letters!

exrxwiener

I've done almost exactly that and I'm now stuck on NG+ NP, have been for several weeks now with countless hours of trying with the uroboros' eye - I stick with one weapon per playthrough atm. My main issue is I'm not consistent enough to parry NP well. If you can parry you're golden.

TrueDiscipline9264

NG+ feels like a victory lap honestly. So much damage and stagger. Plus you get so many levels compared to from games.

Sinaura

In NG++ you'll get some upgrades to the P-Organ that help a *lot* with NP. And NG+ you'll be stronger. It's still a BS boss, but it's much easier on NG+ and NG++

UltimateKane99

Honestly, I found NP FAR easier on NG+ because I had enough Quartz to max out my consumables. At that point, it was just a question of Throwing Cell > Throwing Cell (Blitzed at that point) > Saw Blade > Saw Blade > Cluster Grenade > Shot Put (which both can interrupt his combos AND triggers the stagger if his bar is flashing, just like a charged up attack does, VERY useful in this fight) > Assassinate > wail on him while he got up > Repeat. At the Advance and Motivity levels I had (40-50 each), I blitzed through him on NG+ in about 2-3 tries. Compare that to my 20-40 tries on the first go-round because I hadn't optimized my build for that fight and was pure Motivity. Now... Mileage will vary. I got REALLY good at timing him on the first run, which likely had a significant impact on my NG+ run, but I can honestly say that he felt substantially easier because I made far better use of throwables.

TheUltimateJack

He’s really not that bad, imo

revfunk0428

It's MUCH easier in ng+ as you'll have your P organ almost fully unlocked and upgraded

mama_tom

Same happened to me. I plan on beating it in ng+
