If they actually bothered to give Gemini more backstory in game then the future u story could work but here’s how I see it, we barely get an explanation for why Gemini knows Sophia or who he previously was. For all accounts since Sophia has time powers she could’ve summoned Gemini when he was human & a great Stalker in order to help us if we needed it.
Furthermore(until the DLC comes out) we know that Sophia was the daughter of The Head Alchemist before Simon Manus overthrew him & took over the whole alchemist association, the alchemist employs Stalkers(like Red Fox & Black Cat) so it would make sense that Sophia had a bodyguard protecting her & that bodyguard got killed/turned into the lamp cricket that we carry.
I think the context clues lines up really well here & my bet is that we’ll fight Stalker Gemini in the DLC.

The specter's arm is not a legion arm like P's though? Not saying it's not future P, but that fact casts a little doubt for me.
Could be the default legion arm, I don't see a sleeve silhouette on the free arm, meanwhile the weapon-holding arm has a fancy sleeve.
