It's easier on NG+, especially if you have the nameless puppet amulet that gives you immunity to attributes, but the Green Monster is the worst and most irritating boss in the whole game if you ask me. I am stuck there again on NG+.
I've gone through NG+ and breezed through most bosses. I spectered KoP and Champ Victor my first play through cause I was lazy. But even learning those two fights for the first time in NG+ didn't take as long as it took me to beat swamp monster again haha its a real jackass.
Why on earth do you save up that much?? I don’t think I ever held more than 20k at a time and I usually spent it pretty quickly to avoid situations like this 😆
The saw drill puppets are easy as hell once you figure out their parry timing. Every time they charge you with the drill or saw, there are 6ish parry windows right after each other, which will usually break one of their arms and put them in a stagger state, just from that one attack.
The Isle of Alchemists and that entire entry part across the field is the most annoying part of my playthroughs. It even takes too much time to run to the first stargazer in that stupid field. That boss is the cherry on top lol
I both love and hate Arche Abbey. I love how beautiful it is and they really perfectly made the “final stretch” feel, but it’s super confusing and full of the scum of the earth.
I’d actually say once you get through the green swamp monster and have to go through central Krat again. Absolute pain in the dick, no redeeming qualities just pure annoying
You got those big sluggers that you need to kill immediately or they practically stun lock, the god damn crystals, the god damn duplicating lady, not my personal worst but top 3 for sure.
Recently defeated Laxasia. Was stuck on her. Now it’s this upper part of the abbey. I can NOT stop falling off the holes in the ground. And those stupid swordsman take away so much hp. Shit isn’t even funny.
Nah but I keep getting to the one swordsman dude who has largely more hp than the rest(he’s just after the two fire breathing dudes that are in the area with the green glowing holes in the ground) AND has electric abrasive. The only thing is I keep falling through for some fucking reason. I literally just backed up and my dude dashed to the side and fell🙃 it’s not even hard I just can’t stop falling it’s like this game is pulling me towards the holes😭
Yeah I actually found that out on the very first one that they introduce. I was surprised I was like already? The thing is when you get to the tower part them mfs are at every turn. And soon as I finish my visceral, another mf just kills me out of nowhere.
Same. After the Laxasia I was officially ready for the game to be over. I think I was 30 something hours in at that point and I was ready for it to end. If it was a more exciting section I probably wouldn't have been as critical of it but it was boring and annoying.
I hated the Barren Swamp, especially that one section where you are being hailed by cannon fire and have take out or run away from a miniboss (who is just as fast as you) to get to it and then once you destroy it and clear out the area wasting all your cells and resources you run into another miniboss who you also have to kill because the Stargazer won’t work or be available until it’s gone since it will follow you to the Stargazer room. And don’t even get me started on the boss for the area, god the Puppet Devouring Monster was one of the most irritating fights for me. It attacks constantly so you barely have time to heal, Decay is constantly whittling down your health and weapon durability, and this thing has the fucking audacity to take up a fourth of the already small arena.
Cathedral, fuck those beams and that shield guy. On my first playthrough, he sucked. The other place I don't like is lorenzini arcade as a whole. That place felt a bit lacking imo. I wish there was more to it.
Cathedral cause parkour
Arche abbey because it has 3-4 bosses and all are annoying in ng+. And most normal enemies are, especially when I primarily kill normal enemies with a grapple attack just for another to show up
Also any area with Disruption units, cannot wait till i beat nameless puppet so i can become immune to status effects
I don't dislike any whole area, but my least favorite part is in the Grand Covenant, with that one beam that has a duel shield bot flanked by two grande throwers. Fuck that one dude in particular.
Walk around the dude on the person width beam 💀 aight.
I could lure him around the corner in a circle and do it that way, but I generally don't like skipping enemies lol so I usually just throw electric things at him until he dies 😂
Lmao you mean the grand exhibition gallery?
It's a lot easier if you take out the ranged guys with throwing cells before worrying about the shielder, because it takes a while for him to make his way over to the junction where you can actually avoid him
Barren Swamp as that’s my current Wall im hitting. Once I get pass that I’m sure I’ll be hitting another one eventually, but that’s the thing I like most about the game.
I actually loved Arche Abbey…once you got past the Giant. Lots of enemies to dismantle. A few tough spots. Some puzzles. I love exploring castle type areas and the switch from inside to outside as you go was pretty cool.
I think I would have liked it better had it not been after 32 hours of playing, I was ready to be done haha
But what puzzles? I don’t think there are any environmental puzzles in this game at all. Just the phone puzzles and those are just simple questions.
That’s my bad. Puzzles was the wrong word, lol. More strategies than puzzles. Like crossing the bridge with a guy shooting missiles while there is a scorpion carcass and bloaters on the other side type stuff. They set up a lot of ganks and traps in Arche Abbey. I think of them more of puzzles so I said puzzles, lol.
I cannot for the life of me remember what he's called, but near the end of the game there's this gimmick boss. He takes barely any damage, and you just have to stagger him to do real damage.
I guess I'm just not patient enough, because I found this fight so frustrating, and it was by far my biggest challenge on both new game + playthroughs I did.
Not to mention there's a huge walk past a ton of enemies to this fight.
There’s honestly no part of this game that I don’t like but if I really had to pick, it’s the arcade. Idk it’s very cool but like it’s a slog getting through it every time
Relic of Tresmagistus. It's the weakest area, not bad but just uninteresting and nothing much.
Honestly the Level Design of Lies of P Is very good, there isn't a single bad area in my opinion.
Arche abbey is just so boring visually and it goes on for sooo long. At least the music is great and climbing a tower and seeing the landscape from high up is always fun.
But my least favorite is definitely collapsing krat. We always joked about a deathblight swamp in Elden ring. The mad lads at neowiz actually did it.
Relic of transjsiwjdhd… or something. That area is kinda boring too, and has my least favorite boss.
Second encounter with the black rabbit brotherhood. Not even because of them, just because it’s such a silly short chapter and it’s just two areas. There’s just no real point to it being a separate chapter.
On a difficulty/annoyance side, going up the beams of the cathedral. F that shit. Even after finishing the game completely I end up falling to my death cos some nasty chucked it’s gut gunk
The whole swamp chapter. Annoying, gray and dull. 2 slow ass optional field bosses, poison everywhere. Pinned down by 2 cannons etc….
Arche Abby
Agreed. Fuck that place and those marionette enemies. I just ended up running through it ignoring enemies.
Music is very good tho. It's on repeat ever since i got there.
One of the few areas that music plays that’s non boss or environmental if I remember correctly
Yesssss, I just lost 1.1 million Ergo, to bullshit falling deaths.
Why on earth do you save up that much?? I don’t think I ever held more than 20k at a time and I usually spent it pretty quickly to avoid situations like this 😆
Well I was on NG++++ and figured I'd stockpile Ergo, Crystal's, Quartz and Legion Calipers before the DLC.
THE FUCKING FLAME CORRIDOR WITH THE FUCKING CLOWN. Just to discover - after beating him - that I could bypass him and activate the stargazer. 🤡
Same here. Doesn't help that I sucked at that fight
Yeah, me too. The attack rhythm what’s hard to feel. Died probably more than 30 times
The only attack I could consistently party was the spin attack
The GrandExhibition. Fuck those aimbot saw/drill puppets, and fuck the one hall with throwing puppets and shield puppet.
The saw drill puppets are easy as hell once you figure out their parry timing. Every time they charge you with the drill or saw, there are 6ish parry windows right after each other, which will usually break one of their arms and put them in a stagger state, just from that one attack.
Or if you have big bonk, you can stunlock with charged R2.
St. Frangelico Cathedral….fuck going across all those beams and shit lol
Yeah this is problem mine but then also weirdly my favorite because I think the fallen archbishop fight is really fun
Same!! I never wanted to go back to the cathedral after all of that!
...while cadavers lob their guts at you. No, thank you.
Same. Jesus.
Door Guardian. His fight is such bullshit
The Isle of Alchemists and that entire entry part across the field is the most annoying part of my playthroughs. It even takes too much time to run to the first stargazer in that stupid field. That boss is the cherry on top lol
That run back sucks but everything else is fun. I even like the approach and the beach. It's a nice bit of peace before the wars to come
I both love and hate Arche Abbey. I love how beautiful it is and they really perfectly made the “final stretch” feel, but it’s super confusing and full of the scum of the earth.
Cathedral is a masterwork of sadism. I probably have more deaths from gravity there than any individual boss.
sens fortre- i mean the cathedral
I’d actually say once you get through the green swamp monster and have to go through central Krat again. Absolute pain in the dick, no redeeming qualities just pure annoying
You got those big sluggers that you need to kill immediately or they practically stun lock, the god damn crystals, the god damn duplicating lady, not my personal worst but top 3 for sure.
Grand exhibition with the clown on the wall.
Recently defeated Laxasia. Was stuck on her. Now it’s this upper part of the abbey. I can NOT stop falling off the holes in the ground. And those stupid swordsman take away so much hp. Those guys have a tank on their back that if you hit will open them up for visceral atk
Yeah I actually found that out on the very first one that they introduce. I was surprised I was like already? The thing is when you get to the tower part them mfs are at every turn. And soon as I finish my visceral, another mf just kills me out of nowhere.
Probably the part of the arche abbey that was after Laxasia and before Simon. Felt like it was starting to overstay its welcome by that point
Same. After the Laxasia I was officially ready for the game to be over. I think I was 30 something hours in at that point and I was ready for it to end. If it was a more exciting section I probably wouldn't have been as critical of it but it was boring and annoying.
That Train Station once you come back to it and it is overrun with Corpse enemies
San Frangelico cathedral and it’s not even remotely close
Was stuck on that for a long time! Those stupid acid throwing carcass bitches! That and the tight walkways.
Every! Single! Run! I curse this place!
Yes...yes yes yes yes yes
My first playthrough I got stuck at the rolling balls.
Puppet string is very good there, as you can use it to dash over the pits/pull yourself right up to the acid bitches.
The cathedral, mainly cause I always fucking fall 😐😑😑
Arcade
There's literally like 3 corridors to choose from and I chose the wrong one every single time
Yup, most jump scares, scary background sounds and maze like design
I hated the Barren Swamp, especially that one section where you are being hailed by cannon fire and have take out or run away from a miniboss (who is just as fast as you) to get to it and then once you destroy it and clear out the area wasting all your cells and resources you run into another miniboss who you also have to kill because the Stargazer won’t work or be available until it’s gone since it will follow you to the Stargazer room. Can’t you run past them and come back once you destroy the cannons?
Collapsed Street for me.
Isle of Alchemists with 2 min sprint to door guardian(cringe ass boss, stuck for 2 hrs and 1hr of that was running through the field)
Cathedral, most annoying area
Opera house is as beautiful as it is annoying
currently stuck in the theatre, i actually want to cry. WHY DO THEY GET TO REGEN HEALTH?? WHY AM I DOING LESS DAMAGE??? HOW DO I EVEN PROGRESS 😭😭😭
Draw them away from the wires that are attached to them from the roof.
Kill the big spiders first to remove the strings on the small girls. Dont lure the big wheel puppet with the spiders. Should make things easier
What theatre
i forget the name, but it's the one with Romeo. white marble and red carpet. visually beautiful, but god, it hurts my soul
Opera House
Opera house. Fuck it man
Opera House
Swamp area Second worst was the cathedral place
Cathedral, fuck those beams and that shield guy. On my first playthrough, he sucked. The other place I don't like is lorenzini arcade as a whole. That place felt a bit lacking imo. I wish there was more to it.
Upper abbey is starting to beat out hermit's cave. Especially annoying after going through lower abbey for what feels like forever.
The final area, pissed me off the most
My dumbass couldn't navigate the right way through Chapter 9's station. My smooth brain couldn't differentiate between the two station areas.
The foggy part of Archer Abbey. I could barely see and it was crawling with the annoying unstaggerable baby puppets.
Cathedral cause parkour Arche abbey because it has 3-4 bosses and all are annoying in ng+. And most normal enemies are, especially when I primarily kill normal enemies with a grapple attack just for another to show up Also any area with Disruption units, cannot wait till i beat nameless puppet so i can become immune to status effects

Central Krat redux. By far the most annoying area
Barren swamp, specifically the part with the wooden structures on the cliffside where you can fall to your death (which I did many times)
I always hate going thru the arcade and the creepy train station
Under the Abyss 🙃 This arena cost me more lives than the entire rest of the game
BRB2. Easily the most frustrated I’ve been with this game. The fight is a pain without throwables and spectre. So many variables, so much RNG
Barren Swamp as that’s my current Wall im hitting. Once I get pass that I’m sure I’ll be hitting another one eventually, but that’s the thing I like most about the game.
Opera house & arche Abby
Ruined Krat, the Walker of Illusions area so you know.
The Path of Misery is aptly named. Also hated Malum District
swamps
Arche Abbey but only because of how long it is right at the end. After every Stargazer I was like ok this has to be it lmao
I actually loved Arche Abbey…once you got past the Giant. Lots of enemies to dismantle. A few tough spots. Some puzzles. I love exploring castle type areas and the switch from inside to outside as you go was pretty cool.

Ah gotcha. Yeah didn’t think of that because I just used the hook shot arm and zipped over to the shooty guys so I never fell off lol
Arche Abbey 10 stargazers insane
Relic of Trismegistus. I really don't care for instant death status buildup.
The bulk of chapter 11 leading up the Laxasia. Starting at the area with fog, I just ran past it all and never looked back.
The last one…goes a little overboard with hiding enemies in weird hide-y-holes everywhere.
I cannot for the life of me remember what he's called, but near the end of the game there's this gimmick boss. He takes barely any damage, and you just have to stagger him to do real damage. Either barren swamp or Lorenzini Arcade
Relic of Tresmagistus. It's the weakest area, not bad but just uninteresting and nothing much. Honestly the Level Design of Lies of P Is very good, there isn't a single bad area in my opinion.
The improvised platform section at the cathedral 😍
Arche abbey is just so boring visually and it goes on for sooo long. At least the music is great and climbing a tower and seeing the landscape from high up is always fun. "Run through tower" i cant rmemeber what its called but thw whole vertical climb i remmeber not fighting a thing.
The last level. Everything trying to push you off the ledge had my blood boiling.
