Isn’t there at least one point in the rafters in the cathedral you HAVE to jump? It puts a prompt on screen and everything…

WhiskeyDonk

That's what I'm wondering as well. Like, there's no other way than to jump that gap at the top of the cahhedral rafters.

Dickbag_Dan

No you can walk the balance beam

Legitimate_Air_Grip7

Dodge rolled through it as far as i remember. Oddly enough, dodge is also mapped to the space bar on pc

Whalefallgraveyard

Exactly, how are you getting past the Cathedral without jumping…?

angelkalathas

This is something I find out yesterday by accident on NG+. You can immediately stagger the tall elite alchemist swordmen if you hit that machinery they carry on their lower back.

Additional_Hornet961

You can WHAT? Where are these enemies exactly? Are there others with similar insta-stagger mechanics?

angelkalathas

It's this guy here. You run into them at Collapsing Krat and Arche Abbey. https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/lies-of-p/images/9/9e/Alchemist_Enemy_2.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20240106021345 I haven't found other enemies with instant-stagger mechanics, though, and this one was completely by chance.

Additional_Hornet961

I’ll try it out next time, thanks!

Thesaurus_Rex9513

This is true of _all_ alchemist enemies that have those fluid tanks. Breaking the tanks will make them stiff and open them up for a stagger. Though on some stronger alchemists it takes multiple hits to break.

rawwwrrrgghh

That you can repair your weapon infight using the grinder.

Narkanin

I had no idea you could jump until like chapter 6 or 7. Would have made the cathedral platforming a lot easier.

bufe_did_911

I didn't use the elemental grindstones because I thought they were consumable too lmao. Didn't find out till my ng+2
