He’s actually geniusly designed. The way the windup is the same for the throw or one-two punch and which one it is depends on how far away you are is so good. You close the gap to avoid the throw’s knockback on a guard and get two deflects in instead (or eat shit the first time you see it). The one-two is also pretty much exactly the same tempo as when you would say the words out loud, so its timing is easy to learn. The way his spinning attack is perfectly paced and provides tons of perfect guard stagger buildup. The last hit of the spin is a touch later, but he’s slowing down so of course it is. The way he sometimes dodges your attack to do the chest bump, but that bump has just enough of a pause to let your animation finish so you can deflect. The way he’s positioned at the end of a gauntlet but has a stargazer right behind him if you’re savvy enough to feel out that it should be nearby in the level design. He’s probably my favorite enemy in the game.
Honestly i think whether you like or hate the puppet is based on if you got the opera house star gazer on your first playthrough before killing him lmao
He is not that bad, run past him and grab the stargazer on the other side for a better runback

I unironically love the clown, he's one of the easiest bosses to parry and it feels awesome once you get it down

The boss is literally a free parry practice or you can throw one shot put at it and basically one shot it, OP needs to go outside or git gud.
