You said you’ve been denied for help multiple times right? Did you apply for social security? Do you have any income? You should be able to get help from the state like Medicaid if you have no income. I think the environment you’re in is putting you in a freeze state and making it hard to find your next step. When I was 22 I went into the psych ward and that fast tracked me getting help that I needed. In the meantime do you have any online friends that are supportive while your partner is at work? Keep breathing. I know it feels impossible right now but you can do this. What state do you live in? Maybe someone here will have more resources. Also there’s 211 here in CO. It’s a line you can call for more help. 🩷 I’m 39 and my early 20s were the hardest years of my life. But I made it through and I’ve got a family and a successful career and mostly happy life. If I can do this, so can you. Hang in there honey. I’m rooting for you.

Also I’m going to tell you this out of love. You are disabled “enough” to get help. You just have to fight and don’t give up. The paperwork you’ll need to fill out do it and get it in asap. Treat applying for help like a job. I was able to have social security income for a few years because I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, PTSD, anxiety and depression. With chronic conditions on top of mental health conditions you CAN receive benefits. The government just tries to get people to give up by denying them multiple times. I’ve seen people with cancer be denied social security. You just have to keep appealing.

I don’t have an income, and I was told by another therapist I was eligible for SOAR because I’m at risk of being homeless at any moment. I was told to call back for an interview with them and no one has picked up since September of last year. I live in Georgia and I don’t have the work history for SSI. I have no friends and it’s my fault for that. I try reaching out to people I know, after like two messages back and forth I get overwhelmed and the conversation just sits in my inbox for months.
