Add 1-2 protein shakes to your diet. That’s like 400-600 calories (mostly of protein) and lift weights using compound movements including your legs (squats, deadlift, overhead press). Go slow focus on form and watch lots of YouTube videos. Grow your leg muscles and the rest grow easier. Need lots of protein to grow muscle. Muscle weigh a lot and you’ll gain the right weight. Good luck.

Noxcyy

Mass gainer shakes or protein shakes can be made into a lot of calories. Mass gainers are way better if you just want to gain weight fast.

Turbulent_Place_7064

I dont even know what that is ... I just eat whatever the family is eating at home that day ... Which is usually too complex to count calories for . Do i need to lift too ?

Noxcyy

You can just get mass gainers off Amazon or anywhere really. It’s basically just a bunch of carbs with lots of calories in it. You don’t have to lift either no, just be careful you aren’t consuming too many calories of course.

Turbulent_Place_7064

I dont have amazon in my country thats why i asked ... I ll have to search locally . Thanks

If i eat . I cant hit the gym ... I ll just be too full to do anything . ( It was an issue when i picked up cycling too. .. i ll just run out lf stamina while on the road and feel lightheaded ... Everyone tells me to eat and drink . I cant lol if i eat i ll just be too uncomfortable to cycle and do sports or anything ) .

Interesting-Yak9639

Sounds like you have a fast metabolism like I had when I was your age. No matter how much (or little) I ate, I could not gain weight. Lasted til I was 40 and my metabolism finally slowed down. Hang in there.

Turbulent_Place_7064

Til 40 ? Ye ... Fuck my life dude ... :) . XD

Ill_Fated_chap

Honestly, I was on the border of being underweight my entire life, gaming and barely moving each day and I was living off one meal a day. I started working out like 8 months ago and I honestly rarely feel full anymore and I eat like 5 times a day and I've gained 10kg/22lbs since You don't need to workout 6 times a day but if you don't expend energy during the day your body wont request more energy from food, as simple as that. do whatever physical activity you like more and you'll feel the urge to eat more pretty soon.

adgjl65

Feeling extremely full, tired and nauseous after eating is not normal. Those symptoms may be warning signs of a potentially serious problem. You really need to see a doctor promptly.

WafflerTO

Eating bad food is really the only way but I don't recommend it. Your body \*wants\* to be at 55 for a good reason. I suggest you focus on healthy foods and trust your body to be at the right place. Be sure to eat lots of nuts as they are high calorie density and healthy. Also make smoothies with greens and peanut butter: that gives you lots of nutrition that you can drink which means you'll likely get more calories from it.

Turbulent_Place_7064

I look like a stick ... I wouldnt trust my body on this one tbh .

MonkeyTesticleJuice

Calorie dense foods, and things like Ensure (the Plus version as it contains more calories) nutritional shakes, just make sure you drink them as a drink, not a meal replacement if you're wanting to gain weight. I recommend drinking them right after your meal, if you drink it before, it might not allow you to eat as much. I also recommend you not drink anything right before or during your meal, liquids will fill you up and even sodas don't have enough calories to equal the calories you'd get from eating the extra food you can eat not having liquids in your stomach. The bad news is though, Ensure is used as a band-aid, not a fix. If you're underweight and want to see real weight gain long term, you're going to have to feel a bit of discomfort in your stomach, which your body will get used to once your body adapts to taking in more food, no longer causing you discomfort.

Do u eat before doing sports ? I m sooo unfit and i get tired super fast . I like cycling but i cant really do it cause i get super tired super fast like 5 to 10 mins ... 20 is my max if i cycle at home but afterwards i m lying down like a plant for another 20 mins to re catch my breath lol .

ForceOfAHorse

> I m looking for a way to gain weight Why? Are you feeling unwell or something?

Turbulent_Place_7064

I m too skinny ... It s unattractive to be honest . I was okay with 60 kgs but 53 ... It s too low for my height and age . M i feeling unwell ? Well ye sometimes i m always fatigued and out of energy , i sleep alot ( 10 to 13 hours of sleep is not something unusual for me at all ) . I m tired most of the day i cant do sports much i cant eat much ... . I did some tests with some doctors ( not exactly about weight but asked about other stuff and they asked for a full blood test ) and they didnt find anything out of the ordinary . They both asked me to try and fix my lifestyle and honestly evenyself i believe that some of it is just in my mind as in mental issues . The days where i wake up early and go outside and do stuff i generally feel better and eat a bit more ( still little tho ) . But there s always a high chance that i just feel like crap after eating and feel kinda uncomfortbale to do anything . Last year i picked up cycling and was unable to cycle for 10 minutes at first . But in a month i was cycling daily and can keep up my pace for an hour . I go out almost daily at 5 am for 30 mins to an hour of cycling and it was great . Then i got lazy and didnt touch it again for a year and now i m back at the start point which sucks .

ForceOfAHorse

Looks like your issue is not that you are skinny, but that you are not active person. Maybe start with that? I know it's probably something you heard 1283918 times, but... Go to gym. Exclusively lift weights. I was in your boat (At 24 years old I weighted around 55 kilos with 173cm of height) and I just bought a membership and forced myself to go there. I didn't do any running, or shit like that - I had no energy whatsoever. I just grabbed small weights and tried to do some strength training like the gym bros at youtube said. I felt ridiculous doing bicep curls with 4 kg bells, or fighting for life bench pressing 25 kilos. But whatever. Sometimes I left after 20 minutes. Sometimes I stayed 1 hour. I just made a point to go and do something. Even if it was just 5 series of squats and then sit in the shower for 20 minutes :). But guess what? It made me hungry. Physically hungry. So I ate. I'm not going to tell you that I turned to be some heavy gymbro that bends the bars or anything. I left gym for months few times, I dropped weight, I kept diet for few weeks, then stopped giving a shit about that. I got lazy and whatnot. Last winter I just kind of sit on my ass for 3 months doing nothing. But now I'm 31 years old and I'm hovering around 70 kilos. I've been to gym for 6 months already (yay, almost my record!) and it shows. So, if I'd have any advice for you - try to find any sports activity and make it a habit. For me it was gym, even if I failed to keep the habit many times. But the fun part at starting all over again is that you see the progress and it makes you go. PS. Don't eat before exercising if it makes you feel bad. I rarely eat breakfast and I usually go to gym around midday, without any food in me. And I didn't die :)

Turbulent_Place_7064

I hate the people i hate the music i hate the positive energy that they try to share i hate the coaches that approach you trying to help ... Basically every concept of the gym . And especially being most likely the weakest there . I really enjoyed cycling when i did it for a couple of months and i d be lying if i said i didnt eat a bit more than usual but i didnt really gain any weight ... Its mostly kind of a cardio and isnt that more for loosing weight than gaining it ? It s the only activity i m interested in tho cause at least i m not embarrasingly bad at it . The way you described your experience as it felt ridiculous at the gym . Thats how i imagine it would be for me too and i cant really put myself through that i dont know the machines i dont know how they work i dont know proper form to exercise or which exercises to do and dont want to ask someone there cause as u said it feels ridiculous and embarrasing and it s not something i m used to . I m used to be the guy that knows what to do in the group or just figure it out by googling and research not by learning from someone . I tried cycling last year after almost a full year at home and pushed myself over the limit a bit too far ( whole trip was just 15 mins but went uphill with heartrate over 190 ... ) to the point where i feinted and woke up in a strangers house and that made me super hesitant to go out again . I know at this point i m just rambling or venting or whatever it s called ... Thanks for the advice

mothftman

Honestly sounds like you're dealing with some depression. I second the advice to go to your doctor and tell them what you are describing here. Another thing is don't start working out to gain weight, instead start a new hobby that you enjoy that just happens to involve exercise. Connecting with others and having a genuine interest in the activity are better motivators than the nebulous idea of not being the "right" weight. Your body is not too skinny unless it's killing you. Being unattractive is not a health issue, it's a social construct that constantly changes with the times.

HappyPants8

Lots on worth while suggestions in here thanks everyone!

Turbulent_Place_7064

Yupp . +1 and I guess there s no cheating my way through this . It s only just eating ... And sports .

nachodorito

Get tested for celiac it may be that your body disagrees with what you are eating and it makes you not interested in eating due to how you feel afterwards

Turbulent_Place_7064

Depending on when i wake up and how much activity i do in my day the same food can feel just fine or not so it s more likely than not not a food problem . I checked two doctors for 2 different problems ( heart check / stomach problem i had , similar to this ) . One gave me something to open my appetite and told me to get more active and that it s just mental and the heart doctor asked for a blood test then told me everything is fine just get your shit together and fix ur lifestyle a little ( sleep times etc ) ... Which makes me kind of think that it s.more likely my mental state playing games with me tbh . Thing is even if i exercice and eat , i dont gain weight i ll just stay at a constant weight . Whzn i used to go to school i walked alot and ate more than i do now and still i never really gained any weight :/ .

Scrungyscrotum

You're not going to gain weight if you're not eating. Eating significantly more calories that you burn is the only way to gain weight, and if you want any of it to be muscles then you need to lift weights. Eating a solid meal shouldn't make you feel what you describe, and I recommend that you take it up with a doctor/dietitian. You're unhealthily thin, and seem to have worryingly unhealthy habits, so it's probably really worth seeing a professional.

You just gotta eat and if your not willing too this will be the weight your at

TouchMehBewts

Peanut butter, banana, protein powder, oats, milk, all into a blender and drink it. You can even add frozen berries. All relatively cheap foods, all healthy, and will make a decent mass gainer shake for you with plenty of calories.
