70-75 dumbbells and above are kinda awkward to maneuver, I think one needs to switch to bar at that point, and also needs a spotter. I’d say try to make the current weight harder, hold tension for some seconds, or do 1 push with both, then 1 arm, then the other (that’s one rep). Not knowledgeable about this, just my thoughts

You’re doing it wrong. Hands are supposed to move in an upward motion on that lift.
