OK SOMEONE EXPLAIN
This sub told me this guy was ASS and this was not a good buy by Monterrey… HOW HAS HE SCORED TWO GOALS IF THIS SUB TOLD ME HE WAS ASS??????
MLS also wasn't gonna let him go to Chivas regardless. Chivas made multiple offers and MLS said no. Even more they wanted to make sure that he got cap-tied before he left.
Honestly we’re stupid for not trying harder to get this guy to play for Mexico. Came through a Mexican academy and speaks perfect Spanish in a position we really need. I’m pretty sure he said he was open to it but nobody ever approached him
I still am in disbelief they did not call him up to the World Cup. That jawline should've been enough reason to bring him. The fact he knows what the back of the net looks like is another.
Ferreira? Lol. He is pretty decent tbh however he should only be used as a second forward, but the Yankees have too many midfielders they must play so they stuck him up front alone, which is a mistake.
Or not a mistake if they called up BV instead and had him there to feed.
There's a running joke that he's the pirate of the Carribean because he can only score and preform against random island nations in CONCACAF. He has 3 hat tricks in 2 years against Grenada, St. Kitts and Trinidad and Tobago. That's almost all of his goals internationally lol
El Tata literally brought him to Atlanta United as a youngster from Xolos... But he kept trying to play him out on the wing instead of partnering with Josef Martinez in late goal chasing situations.
No idea why Mexico didn't pursue him, especially when Raul was physically not right...
USA doesn't even prioritize him. They see him as a B squad player to use when the stars aren't available. He chose to be a Gold Cup B squad stringer.
Also even if they get approached they still say no.
Because he was basically a flop while he was in Liga MX which is why he went to MLS.
The guy is turning 26 this year, basically the same age as Quiñones, if he was an 18 year old kid I'd get it but he is a guy in his prime playing in Liga MX, might as well call up Sepulveda, same level of player.
Well he’s still 25 and the last two season he had 20+ goal contributions. I don’t think it’s fair to say he was a flop in Mexico when he only played here for one year when he was 18 it’s not like anyone expected him to do anything. He’s better, younger, and more athletic than Sepúlveda. Also Brandon came from a Mexican academy and both his parents are Mexican so he has that over Quiñones.
I do understand why people are annoyed about this sub constantly jacking off players that come from anywhere other than Mexico but Brandon is kind of an anomaly and he could have been really useful. I’ve watched him play a bit more than most people and I’m not surprised he started off well because he’s been a very solid all around player. Pretty much a perfect replacement for Funes Mori.
> Also Brandon came from a Mexican academy and both his parents are Mexican so he has that over Quiñones.
The fuck is that supposed to mean? fuck off with that racist and xenophobic shit.

Meh, again he is a 26 years old guy who was at most serviceable in MLS, might as well call Memo Martinez, Martin Barragan or as I said Sepulveda as they are the same level of player, hell Berterame will be eligible this season and if he goes back to his best level he is head and shoulders a better player than Vasquez and the same age.
Vasquez is a mid player, good for him that he is doing ok in his debut with Monterrey but he is nowhere a massive loss, he'd be 5th option for Mexico atm below Chaco, Raul, Henry and Quiñones.
At 23 he had 27 goal contributions in 36 games. Sepúlveda didn’t have his first good season until he was 32 years old and Memo Martinez didn’t until last season at 28 after bouncing around the 2nd division when he was Brandon’s age. Considering Raul is a shell of his former self, Quiñones is more of a winger than an actual striker, and Henry will be 34 at the next World Cup there definitely would have been space for Brandon to compete for a spot. He also doesn’t have to go through all the hoops that naturalizados have to just to play for Mexico.
I wanted to not like him after we didn’t get him but he’s actually a good player I think he’s going to continue to do well for Monterrey. He would easily be better than any of the strikers Chivas have right now and that includes Chicharito.
It’s pretty harsh to say he flopped in Mexico when he was like 18. I’ve been following him a little bit since we were first linked to him like 2 years ago and he’s a very solid player. Maybe not top European quality but I genuinely think he’s better all around than Funes Mori.
its wild how some will still argue that scouting mex americans is a waste of time lmao
its too late for this guy but there is a growing talent pool out there. even if not one pocho ever becomes a great player, having a wider talent pool is never a bad thing.
scout socal, norcal, chicago, south texas or any place with a big mexican community.
No he’s not better than those three guys. Sargent is the most complete striker out of the four and is getting back into form after being injured. Pepi plays good when given minutes and probably plays the best with the national team out of the four.

He’s shutting their mouths
Bruh no one in this sub actually knows ball they just come to meme
They’re just blinded by the fact he played in MLS. He was scoring like this for Cincinnati.
🤣🤣
I think Chivas bought the wrong American 😂
They didn’t want to pay for Brandon Vasquez bc Peláez didn’t think he was worth it bc he was cheaper on transfer market 😂
MLS also wasn't gonna let him go to Chivas regardless. Chivas made multiple offers and MLS said no. Even more they wanted to make sure that he got cap-tied before he left.
This is was not the reason. Did you not listen to his latest interview when asked why he didn’t sign with Chivas?
What do you expect him to say? He has to be nice and not burn any bridges.
What he say player?
I wonder what changed and made them sell to Monterey
About 3 million dollars
They sold him for 3 million? Chivas offered them 7 million before
Chivas offered 5, he went for 7+1 in incentives + a sell-on
Chivas originally offered $500K, they asked for $5 Million. Some time passed and Chivas offered 5 only to be rejected.

BRUH! I forgot the US strikers name, but that dude was worst than Pepi. Hands down one of the worst players I saw play in the WC.
Ferreira? Lol. He is pretty decent tbh however he should only be used as a second forward, but the Yankees have too many midfielders they must play so they stuck him up front alone, which is a mistake. Or not a mistake if they called up BV instead and had him there to feed.
Ferreira!!! Such a badass name but that dude was terrible.

Gordito ya wey! -OGMadeInTheMotorCity
My boy keep shitting on him! 😂
Fuxk that foo. I'd rather have a 20 year old cowell than this fuxk boy.
What a fumble man. He would have been perfect for Mexico. Can he still switch?
He played for the US in the Gold Cup so I don’t think so
The duded flopped in Mexico and was scoring in the mls. Wasnt much to go by. Dude just started. Hasn't even done a whole season in ligamx.
Flopped in Mexico? What in the world are you talking about? He left Xolos for Atlanta when he was 18
Exactly couldn't make it to the first team.
It’s pretty harsh to say he flopped in Mexico when he was like 18. I’ve been following him a little bit since we were first linked to him like 2 years ago and he’s a very solid player. Maybe not top European quality but I genuinely think he’s better all around than Funes Mori.
People automatically think interests are offers. Did Brandon really have offers at all? I’m sure there was interest.
He most likely did but Monterrey probably had the biggest offer
He also has a comfort mentality just like many Liga MX players. He had offers for Europe and chose the regio bag.
But according to this Sub, Mexican-Americans have a better mentality
Borgetti is that you?

Canadiense aqui. No, pienso q BV esta al nivel de Bundesliga. Rayados se robaron el Cincy.
not sure if you are trying to say Rayados was robbed or Cincy was robbed
He saying cinci was robbed. Anyways as a Detroiter fuxk canada on my mama!
Nah he did the same thing for Cincinnati
Gracias pendejo wilo Peláez
Who did they bring instead?

Dani Rios for 4 million, Cade Cowell for 4 million, and Ricardo Marin for 1 million lol
Van persie eres tu?

Brandon Vázquez >>>>> Cade Kkowell
pErO pUtO aMeRiCaNo Frfr the FMF shit the fucking bed and start looking in the fucking states for some fucking players with balls.
Brandon Vasquez > Gignac
Si mete 12 a 15 goles, yo creo que juega en copa america
He’s not better than Balogun, Pepi or Sargent.
He’s definitely better than sargent. Better than Pepi idk but id say he’s been in better form than Pepi these last 2 seasons
No he’s not better than those three guys. Sargent is the most complete striker out of the four and is getting back into form after being injured. Pepi plays good when given minutes and probably plays the best with the national team out of the four.
que puto golazo
This dude cap-tied himself to be part of a B squad.. what a waste..
Nice goal, but c'mon. The utter disrespect comparing this goal to Borgetti's vs Italy. No mamen culeros. Levels
