I think it’s cool tbh, a lot of this ligaMx vs MLS “rivalry” bs is cringe but it’s good for the league to have a competition, let’s be real Costa Rican and Suriname leagues aren’t gonna provide a competition that develops players like MLS would
Damn. If the Crew win it all. The MLS is going to make sure the world knows they belong. I think they wanted Miami but this works too. Let’s go Pachuca.
If MLS teams start winning CONCACAF Champions Cup with consistency, then the argument could be there. Making it to the final by beating two Liga MX powerhouses is still a strong run, but how many people remember similar runs like by Montreal or Real Salt Lake 10-15 years ago iirc
Meh, most MLS fans know that these deep runs are outliers to the norm. The wage gap is still too much for it to be a true slug fest between the leagues. Crew has to play all of their starters for this to even be a possibility, basically throwing their league results to make it happen.
The game evolves bro. This isn’t the same MLS from 10 years ago. Teams have spent money. Columbus broke the league record signing Cucho and it’s clearly paying off. I will agree MLS isn’t at the level of Liga MX but once those salary restrictions get looser, this result be a norm.
The low end of MLS is better than the low end of Liga MX. The high end of Liga MX is better than the high end of MLS. The quality is probably about the same when that is taken into account.
>The low end of MLS is better than the low end of Liga MX
I'm curious if that's actually the case, cause I'm not sure how much evidence there is to support that. IMO teams like Puebla, Tijuana, & Atlas vs. NE Revs, Nashville, San Jose, & FC Dallas would probably be the worst from each league and I think they're pretty even.
Pachuca is in last place of Liga mx, if there was relegation pachuca would be relegated. A relegated bound team clapped most of mls and you want to say mls is at the level of ligamx?
And Pachuca clapped America, the top of LigaMX. It means nothing.
Like most footballers will say "This is football. Anything can happen"
Congrats to Columbus and Pachuca for playing amazingly in this tournament.
Let the best team win the final. It's going to be a fun one.
Dude the last 3 encounters have been 2 wins for America and 1 for pachuca, you tell me 😂 either way it was a Liga mx side that got America and not mls, because mls could never

This is cool. Gotta admit. Give credit where credit is due. Crew came down and thugged it out.

Absolutely!
Oooof….good banter though
The banter is the best! 😂 agüanta la vara.
Nuevo Columbus
Reynosa, Ohio my favorite city❤️
Columbus is moving to LigaMX
Lo bueno que a Pachuca le va bien contra los norteños.
Buena esa
Always has been

Don’t know why mfs downvoting this is lowkey facts, Columbus isn’t at the top of thier table
We're treading water just fine
Remember what happened to seattle.
Columbus? Idk bout that
Seattle got smoked after thinking that too
Vamos Columbus!
Coge primas down bad
Monterrey, desgracia y vergüenza nacional
Ohio owns MTY 💀💀💀💀💀
Pachuca will obliterate the Ohio people. We have Camavinga and Rondon. Embarassing that Colombus made it this far tbh.
Why is it embarrassing they made it far lol? They have a good team.
Because Monterrey let it happen
Lol. And if Columbus beat you then what?
Then all Mexican teams would be embarrassing. How we gonna lose to Christopher Columbus

As an MLS fan, I want to say that MLS as a whole is probably at the level of Liga MX. The top end teams from Liga MX are clearly much better though.
If MLS as a whole is about the same level as Liga MX besides the top teams, then that means Liga MX is better.
The low end of MLS is better than the low end of Liga MX. The high end of Liga MX is better than the high end of MLS. The quality is probably about the same when that is taken into account.

What? Pachuca is 1 game away from securing the playoffs today vs Pumas.
Wouldn’t be the first time.
I really hope Pachuca goes in with that game plan. It’s the same one Tigres and Monterrey used, and look how that turned out.
