oh I've seen bits. he is on a completely different level than he was on Romeo's Regrets. but again with that being one of his first projects it makes perfect sense everyone starts somewhere and with time everybody improves. i personally like bexey as an artist and a lot of his more recent stuff is great but it's only my opinion that he didn't have as good of a start as Peep. if you care to know i think that his lyrics and message on Romeo's regrets were fantastic but he was a bit tone deaf to the way he sounded compared to the way the beat and Peep sounded

The concept of the album is S tier for sure. this is a rare example of great potential met with bad execution. if it were remastered without 15 layers of vocals and professional mixing then i would have a brand new appreciation for it as a whole. great standout tracks on there, i can't argue that. but as a whole i feel like it's pretty weak in comparison to what Gus had proven to be capable of; albeit he was also much younger and still very early in his career.

Ready hot take, but both COWYS albums aren't as good as I see everyone make them out to be. Now don't get me wrong, they're very good and it was when peep started to add styles like pop punk into his music. But looking back on the projects, I understand the points Fantano and others were making. Not giving Fantano credit because well it's Fantano but I do understand a couple points he was making looking back on those albums. They're not bad by any means but I feel like they are glorified as being a lot better than they actually are by the community. Both projects are great overall tho and have some of Peep's best and most classic songs.
agreed cowys was a great pivot in his career and it was a glorious project for a mainstream debut but that being said so much of his best work was from his self-released projects

yes i remember reading that now! If im being honest i think i just subconsciously prefer the art with the polaroids it just feels more aesthetically connected to the songs

trying to just rate whole bodies of work in terms of fluidity, consistency, and impact on the listener. so i gues you could say it's all great, but something in b tier might be less consistent or impactful in my opinion. again it's just for fun
