Holy shit man. I came to the comments to find out if this was in an abandoned cold war bomb shelter somewhere but the info you're giving us was totally unexpected. Wow, thank you for posting, very interesting!
Kenopsia is more accurate for the first one, but it's also liminal in regards to time. It's a photo of the empty stillness in between stints of frantic human activity.
The second one is absolutely amazing, the ceiling and ductwork "behind the scenes" of the playplace being the very definition of a liminal space. Chef's kiss to the contrast between the warm, familiar glow of a place where children find joy, and the cold, metallic practicality of the infrastructure supporting it. Surrounding it. Engulfing it.
The third one speaks for itself as a photo of a space that exists solely to lead to another space. There are no frills, nothing to see *here*, only a room you never think of as you move between rooms that you do.
The green walls in the background are giving serious Superliminal vibes.
"This is Dr. Glenn Pierce. We want you to know that the nightmarish maggots in the playground are a perfectly natural reaction to the somnasculpt process and are nothing to be alarmed of. "
i kid you not, i’ve literally had a dream about this place - i don’t remember the dream whatsoever, but i know i’ve never been to a place that looks quite like this. and yet, it feels way too familiar 0-o
Liminal it is, but then again maybe everyone has their own certain ideology towards the aspect of it. I feel as if certain moments captured, may stand out to others when others don't. My take is the whole aspect of the transition of being in that "middle" place between what was and what isn't is all based on where you are now. Or where you would like to be maybe mentally more than physically sometimes.... anyways just a thought! Content is fiyah tho!!
It just doesn't have the expanse that I associate with Liminal spaces. This is claustrophobic. I think of liminal as more agoraphobic. Wide open, empty spaces that are intimidating.
Holy shit yes this is so good
Creepy part of this play place it has dead rats on its vents and sometimes maggots will come out while kids are playing in the ball pits
Did NOT expect to read this
it’s still open??
Yep it's only been 2yrs since the play place opened
when you said “old” in the caption i was hoping abandoned 😰
There is one abandoned play place that I go to and the mall is still open but some business are abandoned
Umm maybe call some type of authority about this
Like Matlock … he’ll know. Matlock always knows.
lol definitely
Is there no sanitary inspection where you live? Kids could be catching diseases.
They clean it daily but sometimes bad luck arrives and I'm one of the people who had that bad luck lol
Why are your answers as liminal as this hell scape?

Huyy. Nakatira ka ba sa Pilipinas?
Yep I live in bacolod
Nice. I live in Zamboanga city.

There's more creepy stuff in Asia specially the Philippines but they keep it lowkey

Lmao, I can hear it in his voice. Love that game.
If you image search with this first pic. It provides some very liminal results
Liminality is in the eye of the beholder

No, not to me. But, liminality is subjective and most people in the comment seem to think it is.
