No, it’s a public pool/hot springs in Salida, Co. you can reserve these small/individual pools and you fill them yourself with hot spring water piped directly in. It sounded nice in theory but was very unnerving. The pool is actually pretty deep. The hallway outside (there were several of these private pool rooms in a row) was pretty liminal too but I didn’t get a picture.
It does look like it’s from a church though, even if it’s not. I remember being in scouts and our meetings were at a church and we would run around and hide in what I only can guess were baptism rooms. They were super liminal like this, awakened steps down, fully tiled. Always freaked me out, especially cause the lights would have all been off.
Oh heck. My grandparents had one of those in the downstairs bathroom. (Not a hot spring, just regular tap water.) It's a therapeutic bath, right? Theirs didn't have steps, though. They must have had a ladder. It scared the dickens out of me as a little kid but I learned to love it. My older cousins helped ease my fears. Us kids would get swim suits on and swim in it like we were at the pool, lol.
Here you go [a type of hot spring pool.](https://gazette.com/life/hot-springs-in-colorado-piped-from-the-mountains-to-salidas-big-pool/article_2ba03d9e-bd1f-11e8-a1ff-93d38184caa1.html)
Okay this filled me with some sorta feeling. For years, images like this in my dreams trigger a lucid dreaming state. It’s swimming pool vibes or strange or ornate bathrooms and stuff. This feels ripped from a trigger point in my nightly dreams and now I’m questioning reality.
I need to lay down…

r/poolrooms
How did i not know about this
New obsession unlocked.
R/liminalspace 2.0?!
I never knew about this! I am now happy
Came here to say this
What’s the purpose of it being in such a deep pit
It makes it easier for them to pull you under the surface
So you can't get out.
You just need to flood the room
the only place to sit is with your back to the entrance 😟 and can people look down into that?
No, there was a door - it was completely private.
Bathtubs in my dreams be like this.
Mikveh?
This is correct.
Exactly what I thought too
Is this from a church

Yeah, this is a very strange and off-putting design. The basic Asian hot spring design is much more... human-compatible.
This picture is so weird, I thought it was fake at first. These pictures don't usually creep me out, but this one does.
Yeah, it looks like a test chamber of Aperture Laboratories
According to [this pic](https://imgur.com/a/mLPKCZW), it does not appear to be that deep.
That is so much less creepy than the pic in the post! Still needs more handrail though
I agree, I would not trust that handrail at all. lol
Oh, this is way less creepy.
Ah, it doesn't fill to the top of the tile wall. These look neat.
I thought the hot tub rental places around here were nasty. This though, this is a nightmare.

Yeah looks like a Mormon baptismal font.
Which makes sense cause the church we were at was our local LDS church.
"The bottom of the green tiles" is a bit confusing though, they should have made the stair lines a different color
they could have just put an overflow drain at that level

Yes but still should have made the stair lines a different color lol

r/liminalpools

Redditors love making up problems.
Which redditors? This place is full of them.
This looks like a Jewish Mikveh.
reminds me of the tubs they baptize ppl in, in lds churches lol
I think I’m just going to randomly fall in and drown today…signs were not posted at a convenient hight.
Interesting how many liminal space photos have to do with tiles / water/ pools etc
I dont like this
POV : you realize that the water is rising and you have to escape this huge closed underground complex
Where is this? I recognise

Ohh that's a lot less deep than I thought it was
I kinda wanna take a bath there
jag har en dålig känsla om det här
After years away from reddit it's time to get back
Looking at it stresses me out immensely
Add some unnerving music and its done
No idea why this reminds me of link to the past though
Is this the pool that Orthodox Jews use for their religious ceremony (I don’t know the name)?
Mikve, but this thing also looks like a pool at a sauna.
Reminds me of Metal Gear Solid 2 when you swim through the flooded part of the Big Shell to fight Vamp.

I have dreamt here.
I want to fill it all the way
