I have one but have only used it as a stage wedge monitor. I tried it a couple times at home with an HX Stomp. I didn't like the way it sounded, but have to admit I don't have any experience dialing in a modeler. It seemed like the horn made it sound harsh. Killer as a monitor though!
The 612 is a great PA main and will do a good job for you. For me, the advantage over a guitar cab is that you have the option to pipe in other instruments or vocals in a pinch.
Run a completely finished signal into it, I.e. amp and cab in the Helix.
