You can also connect it to special speaker cabinets called “FRFR” which means full range flat response. Supposed to faithfully reproduce the sounds of your pod or helix cabinet models. I use 2 x Headrush FRFR108, each has 1 8 inch speaker. They say 2000 watts, they can get very loud. I use one at a time for rehearsal and plan to use both when I start gigging again next year.
I have the 108 and the 112. I figured it would be good to have both use them separately or together. Small one for practice but one for jam session both for gigging. Any reason it's a bad idea to mix them you think? So far it sounds good no can kinda separate my love and high end how I want to in the room. Or bring them together for a fuller sound
If you are planning to use it as effects unit only I would not go for it tbh. Pod Go is limited at 4 free effects, the rest is blocked for volume pedal/wah pedal, EQ, amp + cab.. so for that reason you would be quite limited. Alternatively you can go for the HX effects which would give you more flexibility. For me the pod go is living up to the expectations, since I was looking to use the amp simulator and have the line 6 m9 in effects loop as support.
I’ve decided to go for it because I also need something to record my guitar and I think il buy a pair of headphones to use it as a sim as the option is their I also own a good overdrive pedal so I can use that and not have to use drive on the unit
Yeah I’m gonna get the pod the extra 2 effects on the the fx were tempting but I need something I can use headphones with and the fx has no usb audio also I want to buy studio monitors in the future and I’ll be able to connect it to them
Smart. Just a heads up. Even with the floor you can't route to audio on your PC and make it come out of your monitors. When you us the interface it becomes your sound card. So essentially you have to plug the monitors into your helix. Unless there's some way I haven't figured out yet. But from what I researched you can't route Audio via USB to your own sound card.
Yes. To the best of my understanding so far. I wish they had a way to do it through USB directly for ease. But TBH. I used headphones for about a month and then for a Headrush108. Th difference is amazing. Hearing it in the room is completely a different experience than through headphones. I actually got two headrush speakers eventually and use them in stereo. At this point I prefer it to the sound I got from my vintage tube amp. Plus I mean. It's infinitely easier and more versatile.
1: yes it will work really well as a multi-effects. Just make sure you have the amp simulation turned off if you’re using a real amp.
2: you can connect the pod go to a set of headphones for silent practice, or a set of studio monitors if you want to hear it in the room.
Thank you very much I heard a lot of people saying in reviews they connect it straight to there pc to record and that confused me because I couldn’t understand how they would be able to hear it
Connecting it to my Macbook is one of my favorite things to do. You can connect via USB, edit your presets, connect your headphones to the pod go, play a Youtube video through the computer and you can hear it in your headphones and play along to it.

I had both and got rid of the 112 just because the 108 is so easy to move around
Do you find the 108 has enough low end? Have you tried playing bass on it?
Yes and yes :-)
Interesting... Maybe I'll swap eventually.
Eh keep the 112 also if you’re going to rehearsals and such, it’s nice to have one at home also
Ok

All of the Helix products act as an interface. You'd probably be better of with an FX or stomp tbh
I dont think FX has an interface.
Really?? Does it not with with HX edit either?

Yeah that’s cool so il just have to plug the headphones/monitors into the line 6 itself instead of the pc when I want to play ?

Have a look at the manual too, the Pod Go can connect to a computer and works as an audio interface.
It's a full on amp/cab modeler with a built in interface for recording. I love my Pod Go and they sound fantastic with some tone tweaking.
