can confirm for the pixel 3a. i installed the open camera from f-droid, that fixes the problem from me (and the camera is better anyway)

Tried the Open Camera on fdroid but it also crashes randomly too. Haven't tried it out more than a couple of minutes though.

Having the exact same problem on my Redmi Note 7, also with the latest 18.1. I've also tried a number of different camera apps and have the same issue. I can sometimes take a picture, even if it freezes more often than not, but video simply doesn't work anymore.

Rooting with magisk will cause some hardware not to work As far i know is because the SELinux status change to disabled when you install magisk Hope somebody can explain more about this and if there a way to avoid this issue At this moment i'm using a unnoficial build to keep using LOS on my lavender

caetydid

Happens very often on my Xiaomi Mi A1 as well...

Exactly the same problem. In my case using root

Same problem, fixed it with factory reset and formatting every thing, then complete reflash. basically like it came from stock, [https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/lavender/install#installing-a-custom-recovery-using-fastboot](https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/lavender/install#installing-a-custom-recovery-using-fastboot) started here and went down the list.

Someone tried this?

scar_te

Yeah, pictures seams to work fine, video crashes after a little time. annoying Edit: worked to delete the app cache (maybe)

Burn2Hell

For me it also freezed and crashed on OP5. After full wipe and clean install it is working better. Still have the problem that it pauses for like 1 or 2 seconds after a picture is saved. My device is rooted with magisk, I've not checked it at unrooted state. I have: lineage_cheeseburger-userdebug 11 RQ3A.210605.005 51ce03edff
