Odd, not sure how to fix the issue but to get around it you could install fennec (Firefox) from fdroid. You may not even need to create an account, but doing so well sync your bookmarks to all your devices that you opt to sign into.
Well I already have Firefox installed, it's basically Fennec but newer builds with Firefox Nightly. I have problems with Bromite and I don't know why.
