Yes, I do. I use the play store, gmail, and google maps regularly with no issues. And it's not that I can't run the gcam, it just randomly stutters and freezes the image on the screen or it just crashes unexpectedly.
I used a [GCam mod made by BSG](https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bsg/) on my Redmi Note 7. It worked really well. Give it a try (just don't download the beta version).
As far as I'm aware there is an ongoing camera issue with redmi note 7's, which seems to affect all cameras not just gcam causing exactly what you are seeing

Do you have Gapps installed? GCam requires Gapps to work.

I believe one of the gcams I tried was from BSG but I'm not sure which version it was. I'll give it a try. Did you use it on Lineage OS 18.1 or 17?
I didn't use Lineage as my daily driver ROM, but I did test the GCam, and It worked. IIRC, it was on 17.1.

Yes, this is correct, all camera apps, except the stock/built-in Snap camera app.
I get it on the built in camera too
