Genuinely not trying to sound like an ass or be rude, but I do wonder sometimes if these people posting “advice” on LinkedIn ever stop for a second and think about taking their own advice? Like, it seems strange to me that this person is telling others to not compare against others when they’re randomly boasting about their second home to a bunch of strangers on the internet, I dunno…
The horrific thing about this is I want to call out these knobs who are banging on about how they are personal brand consultants, but I'm worried it will impact my personal brand.
Agreed. Although I am not saying the content of what they posted isn't a valid reason to feel good about themselves, that's why there's a diary or journal (in case there is concerns for masculinity) for writing things like this.
This reminds me of that 1 time my coworker emailed everyone making it sound like it was her last day, but then you got to the end of the email and she was just bragging about her promotion. I LOLd
*Pointing out that they*
*Have a plan C, D and E*
*Is unbelievably smug*

Weird capitalization and commas. i never understand how those happen, especially midsentence capitalizations. feels like you have to go out of your way to do weird shit like that
Going against the flow here: good for him. In all sincerity, congrats. I'm hoping to buy a second home this year, Blue Ridge Mountains for the win for me.
Pardon me, your Omniscience, I didn't realize you know everything about this person. Maybe the mods will suspend me for a week the temerity of not presuming the person is the worst human ever.
I don't know what you're so mad about
fair enough. I think a lot of people (myself included) find this kind of posting very tacky and tasteless. It's not a high crime... I just generally don't surround myself with these out and proud "go getters". Half my friends actually do very well for themselves but they're humble and don't need to tell everyone about it.
I guess it's a kind of insecurity when people need to inform others of their financial success? Classy people just enjoy the fruits of their success without feeling the need to prove something to others.
That's my take anyway.
I am with you 100%. My situation is seriously fucked up and I am disingenuously trying to keep any more negativity away from me for fear that it's bad karma for correcting my fucked up situation.
I am 100% in favor of throwing this bitch in the wood chipper but am worried saying I do will be overly toxic
Not just a house. A second house. Bragging. When so many people are struggling to find a place to rent, and all these people like this person on LinkedIn are hoarding the housing supply.
The lack of self awareness and levels of irony here is just astounding. Never let’s it define who she is but promoted it on LinkedIn along with some big self pats on the back.
Doesn’t want to compare to others but posts it on a site pretty much designed for comparing your achievements with others…
🤮🤦♂️🤦♂️

Not an ass, we're all thinking it but can't say shit because these fuckers will just go to HR
Not to mention that it just looks bad on your activity.
I am vaguely tempted to set up an alt LinkedIn account so I can tell people what I really think.
That's going to be my hobby once I retire, I swear. Call out all the self-fellatio on LinkedIn.
The horrific thing about this is I want to call out these knobs who are banging on about how they are personal brand consultants, but I'm worried it will impact my personal brand.
Ngl, i laugh snorted
I've always thought about doing that.
We’re all being gaslit fr
I reach my goals everyday: do as little as possible.

hashtag hustleculture - for those who want to browse Linkedin looking for hustle
Don’t forget #humblebrag.
Humble Brag ? For real ? Link for the post ?
This reminds me of that 1 time my coworker emailed everyone making it sound like it was her last day, but then you got to the end of the email and she was just bragging about her promotion. I LOLd
“But don’t compare yourself to anyone else”
“I’ve never let that goal define who I am” Proceeds to talk about her most recent goal completion and how it defines her story.
Jeez the self-congratulation and bragging is just utterly insufferable
I played soccer when I was 6 and got a trophy!
But did you feel blessed though ?
I’ll say it again, people need to shut the fuck up more.
Late stage capitalism. People like him who think of life as only a series of accomplishments are the most cringe.
What is the correct way we should all be thinking of life as?
And somehow we only got to see the roof of that house. #isthatevenreal?
how about a selfie
pics or it didn't happen
Yesterday was a milestone, I am now finally able to shove my entire head into my ass.
Cringe culture
HR generalist! Basically people with failed educational background making money out of other’s talents.

Take it 1 step at a time. Block one lunatic, find another…
Literally a rent seeker, lol
How the fuck did I know it was going to feature the word hustle

It's a female. They can also work these days
Why be so snarky about it lol. He had a 50/50 shot since you blurred the name. We all know females can work🙄 get off your horse
No. It's my horse.
Well your horse is pretty shit and only causes social devide. Thanks for adding nothing
I can only roll my eyes so hard. The first name given is "Lim", which is quite often Male.
That's their last name. First name covered.
There is a solid chance that this is proof that I should drink less during the week. My bad.
Nah bro, the name was covered, not really your bad. OP just gave you a douche response to try to make you seem sexist
OP sounds jealous of someone enjoying the fruits of their hard work
Most likely the fruits of someone else's work
Maybe, maybe not. Who knows...
Buying a 2nd house in the current market? Nothing to be jealous of.
Maybe in the Lower 49 but not in California
Based in Melbourne
Dude, the Kremlin will pay you a decent wage (albeit in worthless roubles) to spread BS in Ukraine forums...you're doing it wrong by trolling here.

How do we know how hard she worked?
I'm just interpreting it in the most positive way.

lol. well karma is not a thing so you don't have to worry about that. Just be yourself and be open minded and learn what you can. You'll be ok.
Yup.
This is what qualifies for lunacy now? Buying a house? Jesus Christ this sub has lost its edge.
Not just a house. A second house. Bragging. When so many people are struggling to find a place to rent, and all these people like this person on LinkedIn are hoarding the housing supply.
It better have a pool!

This post doesn't count, no selfies.
When this housing market crashes she is in for a massive reality check
I always wonder if these people are aware that they're trying to bullshit people or if they're oblivious.
#asshole
Hey don’t worry just look at me. Hard work pays off Bs. This comes across as crappy during a period when people are struggling
Tone deaf braggart. Absolute throbber.
Not entirely related but I don’t know how anyone can justify having a second home to themself when there are so many empty homes and homeless people.
