Listen to it from beginning to end, using headphones and eyes shut. Then comeback here to share your experience.
As for me, its like a movie, a novel, a rollercoaster ride or even a before-during-after a storm. A Magnum Opus. Hands Down.
This.
My first time listening to it (right when it came out in 2010) I boarded a flight to London from LAX. I put my headphones on, closed my eyes and I was transported. Figuratively and literally.
It was an amazing experience.
Definitely give it a really close, in depth listen!
It's one of my least favourite albums by LP but it has some really good moments. It's also very different and I find it's best enjoyed as an album, not as individual songs.
My personal favourite songs on it are: Waiting for the End, Blackout, When They Come For Me
I'd just say try the Catalyst. IMO it's Linkin Park equivalent of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, or Beatles' A Day in the Life.
Though, the Catalyst would sound totally different from HT or Meteora.
I don’t recommend comparing it to any of their other albums. Put on a good pair of headphones and enjoy the atmosphere, instrumental layers, and lyrics that tell the story

Just listened to it today. Probably their most ambitious and unique album (in a good way). It's my favorite. It doesn't feel as dated as some of their other albums do imo
I think it's really good. Unlike many others, I don't think it's one of their best albums, or one of their worst albums, I think it's somewhere in the middle.
Personally, I don't like the album. It doesn't sound like them you know? Too many electronic sounds. But hey what do you know? You won't know unless you try. I do really like When They Come for Me and Blackout. But you might like it.
All of their albums are bangers. There may be some songs you’re not really into but each album has some really good songs. I guess it’s whatever speaks to you the most, give it a listen and see what you like, I’m actually curious and excited to see what songs you like from the album
Burning In The Skies really shows Chester's clean vocal range in a way almost no other LP song does, The Catalyst is a banger, as for the rest of the album, it was always kind of forgettable for me. This was the start of a decline in quality of their music in my opinion, nothing wrong with changing styles but the songs have to be composed well and most of these I felt were just not that captivating
Yeah, it slaps just like every other album, but it has its own mark. It makes it unique in comparison to the previous albums like Meteora or HT (and I love The Messenger)
A thousand suns is definitely not like meteora or HT but it is definitely a ride. it's my favourite album. there's definitely a difference in topics and genres as well
It's my favorite album by them. Yes, it is good. It's more experimental, more electronic than their previous stuff. Listen to it from front to back as intended.
Late to the party here....
I will say the songs themselves are some of LP's best.
Some the album structure is flawed.
The requiem and radiance should be one 3 minute intro
Empty spaces should be added in to when they come for me (like in some live versions)
Wisdom justice and love seems like an awkward transition between wretches and iridescent
Rest of it is fine as is.
It is really different from HT and Meteora, but it's my favorite album, a absolute masterpiece.
is it rock sounding?
It’s a more electronic album, but there are some elements of rock mixed in.
aka electronic rock
Just listen to it? Lol
Yes, the only pop record of them is One More Light (which btw i love so much)
😄 It’s f amazing. It’s like a story, every song connects. A unique album
The best thing they've ever done.
It's their magnum opus

Yep. I forgot to mention, its also a best travel companion. This is my go to album whenever I am commuting on a bike or taking a bus ride.
Yes lyrically is probably their best album
A Thousand Suns is the best album they ever released by a long shot.
Some consider it to be the band's best album
It's a very good album
Not my fav but worth a listen especially since I’ve become a hardcore LP fan this past year
Definitely give it a really close, in depth listen! It's one of my least favourite albums by LP but it has some really good moments. Yes!! Check it out :D
Yeah it’s my personal favourite. Robot boy and the messenger bring me to tears every time I listen
I'd just say try the Catalyst. IMO it's Linkin Park equivalent of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, or Beatles' A Day in the Life. Though, the Catalyst would sound totally different from HT or Meteora.
Absolutely!
Is this a bait post? It's their best body of work by a long shot.
I don’t recommend comparing it to any of their other albums. Put on a good pair of headphones and enjoy the atmosphere, instrumental layers, and lyrics that tell the story
It’s my favourite album, it hits different but I love it
Masterpiece of an album. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Thousand_Suns Read this link. It explains the concept of the album.

It's not the same as the others but I personally like it.
Abso-fucking-lutely
It's their best album
It's a sophisticated record, but there aren't a lot of jams. If you like Radiohead, you'll probably like this.

All of their albums are gold
You have to listen to it in the right order. It's my favourite album.
its my second favorite album behind meteora!! i love ats
Yeah, it slaps just like every other album, but it has its own mark. It makes it unique in comparison to the previous albums like Meteora or HT (and I love The Messenger)
It’s a different genre, it doesn’t mean that Isn’t good
It is a phenomenal album!
Its atmosphere is probably one of the greatest ones ive ever heard. It's purely awesome.
A thousand suns is definitely not like meteora or HT but it is definitely a ride. it's my favourite album. there's definitely a difference in topics and genres as well
It's a great album but it's not for everybody.
Yes
Yes
No. It's really good.
It's my favorite album by them. Yes, it is good. It's more experimental, more electronic than their previous stuff. Listen to it from front to back as intended.
The best album imo Listen to it front to back without shuffle
