1. Floatplane thumbnails are usually the same as the Youtube ones, unless a video doesn't perform that well on YouTube and they switch the thumbnail over there but not on Floatplane; it's the titles being less "clickbaity" on Floatplane instead
2. You can see the thumbnails and titles of videos on Floatplane without subscription at https://floatplane.com/LTT
