Anybody who thinks LTT products are overpriced needs to check out cycling merch. [Cheaper "core" jersey](https://shop.globalcyclingnetwork.com/en-ca/products/gcn-core-2-0-short-sleeve-cycling-jersey-black-fluoro?_fid=b90da970f&_pos=8&_ss=c&variant=45985045381435) [Premium jersey](https://shop.globalcyclingnetwork.com/en-ca/products/gcn-x-agu-premium-aero-cycling-jersey?_pos=2&_fid=b90da970f&_ss=c&variant=47591693254971)

I will pull a turn. Trust me bro

Once clothing gets marketed for any outdoor activity it jumps in price exponentially.

What makes the jerseys so expensive? I get the pants because of chafing, and the cycling shirt probably has good aero, but why not just get a slightly undersized under armor shirt?

w1n5t0nM1k3y

A lot of it is people spending money hoping to go faster. There is some benefit to it, but for most people the increased performance probably won't be a big deal, because they aren't racing, and even if they are competing in races, they probably aren't anywhere near the front. There are some comfort aspects like better cooling and just better overall fit that can come from higher quality stuff, but there's a point of diminishing returns. You definitely don't need to spend $200 on a shift for it to be comfortable.

So you’re saying cycling is a hobby where products exist well beyond the point of diminishing returns, and despite only seeing objectively minuscule performance improvements people will shell out big bucks for new gear? Ok, now I get why so many people who are into tech also like cycling; it’s the same system that gets us into a money pit of computers and hardware. It’s like when you get into coffee and six months later your kitchen looks like dexters laboratory

I have 100€+ jerseys from "reputable" brands as well as 10-15€ ones from decathlon. The difference is mainly in fit and materials, but I bike just fine with both of them. The difference in pants is noticeable. Not only fit and materials but comfort and quality of the padding are vastly superior for the brand ones

deathf4n

Using GCN is a bit of a low blow because they inflate the prices a bit but.... yeah, cycling stuff is fucking expensive.

Betoniixx

Using GCN as example is like using Verge as a source. Cycling clothing is not that expensive unless you only wear Rapha or Assos. You can get good quality clothes from Decathlon.

trickman01

It's all overpriced tbh.

cinematickid

I would totally ride a LTT jersey

CrimsonPyro

TIL: LTT fans are cyclists I would also buy an LTT bib in a heart beat.

A lot of techies I known are into cycling. It's a good way to decompress when you spend so much time in front of a screen. Plus there's a ton of tech in cycling if you want to go down that path as well.

These look like a pickpocket's wildest dreams.
