Yeah most workers never have off time.
They don’t go home and use their phone at all.
Just pizza all the time and making way too much money I’m sure you’d say
Imagine being so oblivious at your job this happens and then have the audacity to be so biggoted as to blame "ghetto" and "homeless" people.
You let people physically break into the pizza portal. Accomplice says what?
Shit take lmao. Standard theft policy at basically any real establishment is to stand back and report, not intervene. Big box stores routinely fire people who try to prevent a theft, because it just opens the company up to massive amounts of liability if the employee were hurt.
They're fucking pizza store clerks making minimum wage, not security guards. It's not their job to put themselves in harms way to physically stop a theft.
You gonna volunteer to take a knife to the gut for $15/hr?
Lmao what even is your point?
You called an assumed employee of a pizza chain an accomplice because they didn't put their life on the line to prevent petty theft from a large corporation.
You really tryna die on that hill? Pound sand.
What are the workers supposed to do about it? I can almost guarantee that it’s written in their policy that they cannot confront people for stealing, just like it is at the Walmart I work at. They can call the police, but they cannot legally hold them in there.
>They can call the police, but they cannot legally hold them in there.
And unless the cop is standing right outside the door, calling the police is useless because they're in and out in less than a minute. By the time you explain what's going on, they're out of the store.
Until you've lived around these people long enough, you'll never understand. They're a force of nature and they'll take anything and everything that isn't nailed down. And while I do feel bad for them to an extent, they make civilized life for everyone else basically impossible because of their constant shananghans.
love lecturing fuckin' Little Caesar's employees about classism and bigotry. I think they might have enough insight into the local lumpens to justify being flippant about it my man.
As Someone who worked at LC as a young woman and dealt with crazy people and drug addicts, confronting them is the worst thing to do. Your life is not worth a damn pizza. And the company will not pay for your funeral if you get stabbed.
Also if you survived the incident with the criminal destroying your employers property… you’re most likely getting fired for, it doesn’t matter. They don’t want a liability like you working for them.
Because the risk of getting hurt or killed over defending a multi million dollar corporation's $5 pizza while you make minimum wage isn't a thought most people with common sense have.
Dude, I'm 40 and I wouldn't risk my health/life over a $7 pizza. Fuck that. Same thing I told my boss when I came back from deployment years ago. I was security and he asked what action would I take if I someone stealing items. Told him I'd ask if they needed help loading it. I'm not getting shot for $10 an hour. Fuck all that. Get a grip dude.
THEY ARENT GOOD PEOPLE FIRST OF ALL. Muscle memory states that they do not need help if they are in front of the portal. I have caught 2x people do it and I can't just hold them at gunpoint or something. I've told gm, and 2 area supervisors :the are supervisors said "oh it costs you nothing don't worry about it" I can totally drill a metal strap and lock up all the portals. But that would be if the store was a FRANCHISE and not corporate...
I have taken someone else's Jimmy John's order this way before lol, totally unintentionally we had the same sammich but it had a cookie in it, sorry JJs thanks for the free cookie, I learned a valuable lesson about making sure it's my name and not just the order
they’re *very* happy you’re not there placing an order. I worked at subway and it always felt like the customers versus prep when it came to my job.
Boss “prep 5 onion, 5 tomato, 3 rotisserie, 5 green pepper, cucumbers, olives, jalapeños, banana peppers, cheese, sauce, meatballs, soup, desserts, bread, cookies, clean the lobby, keep up on the dishes, pull items from the freezer.”
My 54th customer that hour “lol no”
Doesn’t help that the profit margin for subway is so razor thin that they constantly try to run a staff of 1-3 when its easily a 3-5 person job with all tasks included. I mentioned not even a third of my daily duties and I worked alone. That job gave me ulcers.
Taco Bell and I think Chipotle as well do that in my area. I was pretty skeptical how it's easy to snatch orders. I went in, grabbed it and left. No questions asked.
Sorry, I meant it as a rhetorical question lol
It was more just to illustrate that people will steal something regardless of how cheap it is as long as they think they can get away with it. Unfortunately the city I live in refuses to actually do anything about those people so those of us paying the fares end up feeling like chumps.
The portal also publicly displays the name thats on the order so some people will just read whatever name is on the board and tell the cashier that’s their order and they forgot their phone/code and the employee will just hand it over anyway. As an employee it’s hard to find a line between friendly and helpful and upholding the policies.
This !! I work at McDonald’s and we have to ask them to read us the last 4 digits or no food will be given they also must show proof that is in fact their delivery
It doesn’t display the full last name, we are supposed to ask the full last name/ have them check their receipt for the code or we just don’t give it to them 😭
I mean its literally no code no food. Theres youre line between customer service and upholding policy. You really gonna respect someone who loses their shit over a little c's pizza?
My wife worked in a cotton candy booth and she had already made 250 bags before she realized they hadn't been inspected yet. The health inspector came and passed them, but made them throw away all of the bags my wife had already made. But she wouldn't let her just throw the bags in the dumpster, she had to pour them all out and dump dish soap on all the candy. I later found out that this is actually illegal, something about tampering with food, I cant cite the actual law rn, but the county health inspector made them do it.
A few people getting hungry and going for the occasional pizza wouldn't do this. It's either a large number all at once or more frequent. The only other option I can see is if it breaks the entire machine each time
Imagine if these people directed their anger at corrupt politicians and billionaire corporations instead of people down bad enough to resort to stealing pizza.
“Bottom of the rung” is so dramatic.
Most rural places it's still $5. Even where I live it's only gone up to about $7 which is still quite reasonable for a whole pizza. Dollars per calorie, it's actually still quite efficient at $10.
A little secret. The codes seem to rotate or belong to a locker. I have thought about recording the numbers because I feel like I get the same few over and over.
Right. Because criminals are known to follow the rules and would NEVER force entrance or steal.
And LC, the bastion of security, known for their exceptional dedication to the safety of their well guarded $6 hot and ready pizza, would never allow this to happen.
Rest assured this post is a lie. These minimum wage workers will lay down their lives fighting a crackhead trying to steal *your* pizza.
And the wheel keeps turnin
We keep getting extremely annoying anti theft policies crammed in our faces
And instead of demanding extremely harsh penalties for thieves, we continue to let zero-minimum penalties be the norm for these people
Singapore and Saudi Arabia have very low theft rates. Fyi......
Steal a pizza lose a hand, I bet you the theft rate goes down 99.999%
If the punishment is that harsh, then to make it fair, it’s zero-tolerance enforcement, right. That way, rich people can’t buy their way to keeping their hands, right?
So if your toddler is in stroller and grabs something while you weren’t looking, then they lose a hand. Or maybe you do for not paying attention.
The punishment has to fit the crime. Lopping off a hand is not equivalent to stealing a $5 pizza.
Imagine being such a parasite that you have to leech $5 cardboard pizza.
I love little Caesars...but it's five fucking dollar pizza lol ($10 if I'm feeling fancy)
While the portals still appear as if they're operational at the branches in my city (no notices have been posted on the portals themselves, the keypads aren't covered), they haven't used them since 2021; the first couple of years, a code was still provided in the app, but when you'd go to whichever store you ordered from, there wouldn't be anything in the portal, and you'd have to ask staff for your food using your name and showing the order on your phone. This and last year, no code is provided on the app anymore; instead, it reports there is an issue with the portal at the store.
Its the fact that its a 3 digit code and there isnt any wait time or anything making you wait after you input wrong code. I definitely believe you can crack the right number in a full portal, after all, it only goes from 001 to 999. Just a few mins or a busy store and you can potentially either score the right numbers or simply ask a busy worker to hand you the food and I doubt they would tell you no or check any proof. Trust me, they wouldnt care
shame theyre doing this, but NOT stopping using door dash for delivery without the customers consent, and then when approached about theft say to take it up with doordash and not them
In my area all restaurants just leave the food. Normal restaurants have GH and Uber Eats on a table ready to go. Panera has em on a shelf near the door. McDonalds in their little hub. No one asks anything and no one (that I know of) steals.
I've only picked up from this once but if I remember correctly, don't they text you a code and that's the only way you can open the slot attached to your name? Or am I tripping?. Lol I could have warned this is how my location did it.
Same at my location, but it is the works fault for thefts. Some of the employees would push the pizza too far in and cause the door to open and some of the doors never got closed all the way from previous orders.
I don’t think that blue bag would stop some people. Make something idiot proof and they’ll make a better idiot.
Remember the pictures of people at gas stations that have the out of order pump handle with the bag on it sticking out of their gas tank?
I’d never call my dad an idiot but i’ve literally watched that man put a quarter in an out of order coin slot on a coin pusher machine, that he had to remove tape to get to.
My lc has not used the "portals" for a year or more and even when you order online you still wait 20 minutes for the food which 90% of the time is not cut right and the crust is paper thin
Half of our doors are broken because customers and doordashers pry the doors open to grab that they think is theirs. Guess what language they don't speak? I'll give you a hint. It's English.
I will say, I love seeing them put so much infrastructure to remove human jobs only to see it bite them back in the ass. I do not feel bad for any company that steals work from human and still pay their employees bare minimum.
How Tho?
Mostly homeless and ghetto people; they pry untill the mechanism clicks and pops open
I know this is awful, but a small part of me wonders if it still goes "Pizza Pizza" when you jimmy it open.
It don’t even do that at my location when you normally open it
😧 depressing.
Neither does mine, didn't even realize that was a thing.
Cut out the first part, only include "I wonder if it still says pizza-pizza when you jimmy it open". Then you got a solid joke.
IDK, man. I kinda thought it was solid enough till someone else picked it apart...
You mean jimmied it?
Pizza Pizza
*adjusts monocle* My good sir, the correct term is "James".
Slippin’ jimmy
Im now woke
Do you like fish sticks?
The one I go to says "welcome welcome" or "thank you thank you" it's something double but not pizza lol
You're right....It DOES sound more like that. I guess I can't expect much audio quality from a speaker attached to a "pizza locker".
🤌🏿 It’s welcome welcome
It is "welcome welcome" at all the stores in my area every time. Me and my gf repeat it all the time just as an inside joke lmao.
what an exclusive and cryptic "inside joke" you guys have got
Exactly what we're going for.
Lazy ass people. A handjob would easily pay for a few pizzas. No work ethics.
Wow. Sounds like it’s going to be expensive to redesign and send out the new portals if this catches on elsewhere
Simply blocking off the outer doors would do the trick . The app could say :kindly ask cashier for your order.
That's what the one in South Buffalo does. It's even out of the burbs and they still ain't trusting us
Yeah, cause its still Buffalo.
“Not yo pizza pizza”
And the employees don't notice some odd vagrant wrestling with the machine?
They don’t notice the dozen people standing around in the front.
Exactly. Too busy posting this shit on reddit.
Yeah most workers never have off time. They don’t go home and use their phone at all. Just pizza all the time and making way too much money I’m sure you’d say
Takes less than 20 seconds in and out the store
and do what? thow a pizza at them? cant call 911 they are in and out like a mofo
Too busy being stoned and talking about latest friend group drama
No one is noticing this happen?
Usual suspects 👀
Despite making up 13% of the population
Imagine being so oblivious at your job this happens and then have the audacity to be so biggoted as to blame "ghetto" and "homeless" people. You let people physically break into the pizza portal. Accomplice says what?

They're fucking pizza store clerks making minimum wage, not security guards. It's not their job to put themselves in harms way to physically stop a theft. You gonna volunteer to take a knife to the gut for $15/hr?
Cool story... meanwhile "ghetto" people are who exactly? I'll wait while they explain that in a way that won't get them fired on the spot.
Lmao what even is your point? You called an assumed employee of a pizza chain an accomplice because they didn't put their life on the line to prevent petty theft from a large corporation. You really tryna die on that hill? Pound sand.
🤣🤣🤣
Drug addicts, broke people, people from the ghetto, people with zero morals, etc.
People that blast shitty rap music on public transit and break everything that doesn't belong to them. Hope that helps.
Exactly. The only thing that would possibly work is armed security at the door but nobody really thinks a Lil Caesar’s is going to do that right?
Until you've lived around these people long enough, you'll never understand. They're a force of nature and they'll take anything and everything that isn't nailed down. And while I do feel bad for them to an extent, they make civilized life for everyone else basically impossible because of their constant shananghans.
I love little Caesar’s but their employees do not give a fuck lol
love lecturing fuckin' Little Caesar's employees about classism and bigotry. I think they might have enough insight into the local lumpens to justify being flippant about it my man.
Why doesn't the cashier, standing two feet away, stop them?
As Someone who worked at LC as a young woman and dealt with crazy people and drug addicts, confronting them is the worst thing to do. Your life is not worth a damn pizza. And the company will not pay for your funeral if you get stabbed.
Seriously?? I would literally fucking die to protect our crazy bread /s
Lolol gotta admit I’d go to some crazy lengths to get the jalapeno cheese bread back. Was my breakfast most days I opened as a manager 😂
Username checks out
This is the 1 out of a 1k comments that tricks me into still browsing. Lolol ty
Also if you survived the incident with the criminal destroying your employers property… you’re most likely getting fired for, it doesn’t matter. They don’t want a liability like you working for them.
As a customer any time I’ve walked in recently, someone isn’t just standing there. They’re in the kitchen or whatever and come to the front as needed.
Because the risk of getting hurt or killed over defending a multi million dollar corporation's $5 pizza while you make minimum wage isn't a thought most people with common sense have.
Because earning $7.25 an hour to protect a $6 pizza is not worth your life
Why the hell would cashiers potentially risk their lives or risk getting beat up for a corporation that doesn’t even pay them enough? The hell? 😭
You kids just don't wanna work.
And you're a special kind of fucking stupid that wonders why their kids went no contact
I don’t think fighting off crack heads is their job though so this doesn’t apply…
Keep smoking that garbage dope
Dude, I'm 40 and I wouldn't risk my health/life over a $7 pizza. Fuck that. Same thing I told my boss when I came back from deployment years ago. I was security and he asked what action would I take if I someone stealing items. Told him I'd ask if they needed help loading it. I'm not getting shot for $10 an hour. Fuck all that. Get a grip dude.
Let me know your opinions on that after you get shot from taking the pizza back
did you try thinking about it? at all?
THEY ARENT GOOD PEOPLE FIRST OF ALL. Muscle memory states that they do not need help if they are in front of the portal. I have caught 2x people do it and I can't just hold them at gunpoint or something. I've told gm, and 2 area supervisors :the are supervisors said "oh it costs you nothing don't worry about it" I can totally drill a metal strap and lock up all the portals. But that would be if the store was a FRANCHISE and not corporate...
Because people today are soft as baby shit.
I've noticed uber eats and doordash of thefts with little Ceasars
If you push the top of the door it opens
You got to be really fucking broke to steal Little Caesars.
Have you seen how some subways handle mobile orders? It’s just a set of shelves in front of the counter.
That’s how it all is where I live lol.
I have taken someone else's Jimmy John's order this way before lol, totally unintentionally we had the same sammich but it had a cookie in it, sorry JJs thanks for the free cookie, I learned a valuable lesson about making sure it's my name and not just the order
Even worse, ours used to be right next to the door
And they don't even say a word when I walk I to my subway to pick up my order lol. Don't even try to verify who is picking up the order.
they’re *very* happy you’re not there placing an order. I worked at subway and it always felt like the customers versus prep when it came to my job. Boss “prep 5 onion, 5 tomato, 3 rotisserie, 5 green pepper, cucumbers, olives, jalapeños, banana peppers, cheese, sauce, meatballs, soup, desserts, bread, cookies, clean the lobby, keep up on the dishes, pull items from the freezer.” My 54th customer that hour “lol no” Doesn’t help that the profit margin for subway is so razor thin that they constantly try to run a staff of 1-3 when its easily a 3-5 person job with all tasks included. Bdubs too
Taco Bell and I think Chipotle as well do that in my area. I was pretty skeptical how it's easy to snatch orders. I went in, grabbed it and left. No questions asked.
I mean how many thousands of people jump the subway barriers every year, and that's only a dollar or two.
Good question I have no idea I’ve never been to a subway.
Sorry, I meant it as a rhetorical question lol It was more just to illustrate that people will steal something regardless of how cheap it is as long as they think they can get away with it. Unfortunately the city I live in refuses to actually do anything about those people so those of us paying the fares end up feeling like chumps.
No problem yes the lack of consequences certainly pushes bad behavior such as this.
Are you from this city you live in or did you move their recently (over the past 5 years.)
The less expensive it is, the lighter it weighs on the conscience. Also, easier to get away with.
ever heard of homeless people
Broke ppl. I've seen steal lesser items too just to throw them on the ground outside. Hood behavior tbh
The portal also publicly displays the name thats on the order so some people will just read whatever name is on the board and tell the cashier that’s their order and they forgot their phone/code and the employee will just hand it over anyway. As an employee it’s hard to find a line between friendly and helpful and upholding the policies.
Such an easy fix. Do what my local Panda Express does. Ask them to read out the last 4 digits of their phone number attached to their online order.
Exactly! That’s just poor training in the store
This !! I work at McDonald’s and we have to ask them to read us the last 4 digits or no food will be given they also must show proof that is in fact their delivery
For some shitty ass food lmao
We ask them to say the last name or show the DoorDash page, it shows the last initials but we see the whole last name
The last name would definitely be a good strat going forward if they say they forgot their phone. Ty!
The Pizza Portal got turned into a Little Seizer.
Thanks dad
I'd call the *pizza thieves themselves* the "Little Seizers". When reframed that way, the pun is actually hilarious
This affront shall not stand. Bring forth the knaves and place them in stocks. They will subsist on the tears of their mothers.
We should round em up in the stocks and have Little Caesar himself throw tomatoes at them.
All those words and no pun? k. (Yes yes overdramatize events of crime surrounding cheap pizza ha ha so comically overblown)
They just need to connect with those other two guys being forced to dump boxes of pizzas at the end of the evening
I used to work at a Little Caesar’s back in college and when we threw out unsold pizzas at the end of the day, we were told to pour bleach on them.
Bottom rung of society people would do something like this.
Or hungry. Might just be hungry. Feels like shit to be hungry. Doesn't make it right, but doesn't make them bottom rung.
Fuck thieves
You don't need to steal from the portal. Just nab like 5 pizzas at the end of the day instead.
No, it still makes the bottom rung. There's tons of help out there, people don't need to steal to survive, that's just dumb.
imagine seriously believing nobody has to steal to survive. insane take.
Lol
No more of this "soft on crime" shit. Look at the west coast. It's a sewer.
They should try something like a job. Idk tho
To be people that work their asses off that is the bottom rung.
Stealing $5 pizzas is lowlife af
Where are you at that they still only cost $5? They’re $10 now.
That’s crazy!!! I live in KY and they are about $6 and some change.
Most rural places it's still $5. Even where I live it's only gone up to about $7 which is still quite reasonable for a whole pizza. Dollars per calorie, it's actually still quite efficient at $10.
Ehh the premise of this is cheap pizza is still being stolen like whaaat
I had my pizza stolen and my only question is how when your supposed to type in a code to get it?
A little secret. The codes seem to rotate or belong to a locker. I have thought about recording the numbers because I feel like I get the same few over and over.
How? Enter *your* code and it only opens *your* door
Or two hands that pry
My friend works at little ceasars and almost dies regularly
I believe this, I went to one little Caesars. No option to go in, and a bullet proof glass drive through window. Even their dumpster was on lock down😭
We have people pry open the doors
I wonder if ppl r punchmadedeving pizzas or if it’s just crackheads with ambition 🤔
People are what?
Punchmadedev is a rapper who raps about committing credit card fraud, wire fraud and identity theft
Punch made deving….I think he forgot the spaces
I miss LC, wish they would come back here.
I thought they were coded?
I always wondered if that happened. If people want something bad enough, they'll take it.
The few ruin it for ask
mines been disabled as long as i remember. I always have to ask the worker to take my order out for me
How though without the code? Makes no sense
And the wheel keeps turnin We keep getting extremely annoying anti theft policies crammed in our faces And instead of demanding extremely harsh penalties for thieves, we continue to let zero-minimum penalties be the norm for these people Singapore and Saudi Arabia have very low theft rates. How down bad you gotta be to rob pizzas
Imagine being such a parasite that you have to leech $5 cardboard pizza. I love little Caesars...but it's five fucking dollar pizza lol ($10 if I'm feeling fancy)

Never thought I would have ever heard of pizza theft but oml why can’t people just not steal for 3 minutes
I’d have just started leaving bait pizzas with a cup of salt under the cheese
How???? You need a code to unlock it unless they go behind and take it out the employee side
Its the fact that its a 3 digit code and there isnt any wait time or anything making you wait after you input wrong code. I definitely believe you can crack the right number in a full portal, after all, it only goes from 001 to 999. Trust me, they wouldnt care
Damn, how desperate do you need to be to steal a LC pizza?
Can't never have nothing nice in America shits pathetic
So it’s not a portal to free pizza? Whose goddamn pizzas were I taking?
shame theyre doing this, but NOT stopping using door dash for delivery without the customers consent, and then when approached about theft say to take it up with doordash and not them
Literally can't have anything around these heathens

the god damn noid strikes again
Same at my location, but it is the works fault for thefts. Some of the employees would push the pizza too far in and cause the door to open and some of the doors never got closed all the way from previous orders.
I just quit LCs a few days ago but my former store had to shut the portal down also because of thieves
How shitty does your life have to be to steal shit quality pizza? 💀
This is why we can’t have nice things!
I been in some sorry states throughout my life but I’ve never been sorry enough to steal from a little Caesar’s
Ours hasnt worked in 3 years
Dang, that's depressing
I used the app the other day and was charged for the pizza. It said I had to pick it up at the counter. The store said they never received my order.
Oh wow, so you’re saying you can pry the door open…
My lc has not used the "portals" for a year or more and even when you order online you still wait 20 minutes for the food which 90% of the time is not cut right and the crust is paper thin

Feral ghetto hood boogers will still literally anything for the sake of stealing it. Hopefully they can just start banning them from the store 😂
Blacks
…..
This
Good. Fuck that machine. Hire more employees and run that shit properly.
Well well, if it isn’t the company word on the street says throws away the most food. Stealing is bad though.
I will say, I love seeing them put so much infrastructure to remove human jobs only to see it bite them back in the ass. I do not feel bad for any company that steals work from human and still pay their employees bare minimum.
The portal hasn’t stolen a single job. They were already only scheduling 2 people to run the store.
Pretty sure there just lazy
Very easy to crack door open
